#7 - Nervous System Regulation Series - Yoga, Mindfulness, Breath

  • The key to nervous system regulation is slow consistent practice over an extended period of time.
    The practices I share here are designed to be how I would have wanted them when I was a beginner. Easy and effective. A practice that is enjoyable so that building this new habit is easy.
    I started practicing yoga for my mental health in 2017, in less than a year I was feeling drastically better! I've continued a daily practice since then.
    Over the years I have learned so many mind body practices and techniques for feeling better and in this series that's what I want to share with you!
    Each practice will start with an opening ritual of turning your awareness inwards, using the breath and the physiological sigh and a vagus nerve activation to quickly help you drop into a relaxed state. After that the practice will vary. Some will be gentle movement while others will be more yin focused. In addition to yoga I'll be sharing my other favorite hacks for stress relief like heart coherence, yoga nidra(non sleep deep rest), and mindfulness.
    I'm also a huge fan of Michael Sealey's sleep hypnosis and the power of our words so Im doing my best to make each and every word serve the purpose of guiding you deeper into relaxation.
    If your someone who is looking for stress relief or someone who wants an easy way to build a new healthy habit then these practices are for you.
    They are also very much for me in that I'm working on my communication skills. This has been a big theme for me the past couple years. The first 6 months on UA-cam I wrote out every single word for my voiceover🤦🏼‍♀️ So yeah it's just in the past few vids I've even spoken on camera but I feel like I'm making progress!
    Anyways I really hope you enjoy the practices. Yoga changed my life. I lived with severe depression mixed with anxiety for 10 years, today I've never been happier or healthier. I know so many people who are also suffering so these practices are dedicated to those people and anyone else who's going through it. These are the practices that helped me, I hope they help you too❤️

    Loved this, thank you! I have been doing your series daily now in addition to my regular yoga practice and it is always so relaxing and grounding. The Yoga Nidra helped a lot with the headache I had today. 💗
