The doctors told me that my son was going to die, and I went out to the car to scream, to pray. I turned on the radio and it was Bob singing: You're going to make me lonesome when your gone. This song reminds me of my son. The doctors were wrong, my son lived another 15 years until he passed away.
@@debragordon-hellman3779 been very hard I still live in our home and raise our children no doubt you have experienced the dreams and well wishers so very sorry for your loss
I have absolutely no hope 2 years later. My younger daughter has been mentally ill her whole life but she convinced the police after convincing Sutter Hospital where my husband of 60 years was a patient, that I starved him and didn't provide shelter and they believe her and sent me to a mental hospital where I was told by the psych that I have delusions and am schizophrenic and starved my husband to marry a famous person who promised he wanted to marry me after I was widowed. I lost Power of Attorney and am in hell.
Omg..I heart him So much. Oh my heart. His music SO Beautiful-- just like he is ( warts, sins, hangups & All)..just Lovely man, Lovely soul-- SUCH A Gift from GOD's Own heart I Think. Thank u ya Rub
@1Crisper I am so sorry for your loss. Lost my husband and father both a year ago. Bob Dylan's music has helped me overcome my grief and depression. Peace be with you.
Certa vez minha mãe me deu um disco do Bob Dylan. Musicas como Ring Them Bells, Most of the Time e etc, são obras primas.
🎼”the last.. truck from hell.. goes rolling by.. people are prayin’.. the last radio is playin.. I saw a shooting star slip away.. “ bless up Dylan✨🤍❤️🖤
I'm 62 I've lost somebody that was close to my heart never wanted to go their again then all at once got word he died never get over loving some one never
I'm sorry for your loss. When I was young, I thought I wanted to live forever. As I get older and lose friends and family forever, I don't think longevity is all it's cracked up to be. I turned 60 on 12/9 and it's taken up too much space in my head. Maybe I'll settle into it after more time.
I know a lot of people (including me, if I'm honest) miss Bob with the harmonica holder, blasting away on that thing like it was a ventilator, but this video impresses on me how much of a BETTER harmonica player he's become. I've seen him in concert three times, and when he ponderously shambles over to the wings to pick up a harp, he plays clean and well. I recall reading a story about Bob playing harmonica in a show with the legendary Sonny Boy Williamson back in the early '60s. Supposedly, Sonny Boy admonished him with, "Boy, you play too fast." I think, many years later, Bob took that remark to heart. A lovely, understated solo here.
"Shooting Star" Seen a shooting star tonight And I thought of you You were trying to break into another world A world I never knew I always kind of wondered if you ever made it through Seen a shooting star tonight And I thought of you. Seen a shooting star tonight And I thought of me If I was still the same If I ever became what you wanted me to be Did I miss the mark or overstep the line that only you could see Seen a shooting star tonight And I thought of me. Listen to the engine listen to the bell As the last fire truck from hell goes rolling by All good people are praying It's the last temptation the last account The last time you might hear the sermon on the mount The last radio is playing. Seen a shooting star tonight slip away Tomorrow will be another day Guess it's too late to say the things to you that you needed to hear me say Seen a shooting star tonight slip away.
I remember when this song came out. I put it on a mixed cassette tape and gave it to a friend. A lot of years have passed and I haven't heard a better rendition of this song yet. Damn I love UA-cam for bringing back great memories like these.
رأيت شهابا في السماء هذه الليلة ..ففكرت في نفسي... كلام جميل و أغنية خالدة..the best part is the last >>and bob used to that>>>tomorrow gonna be an other day>>>

GD his Harmonica playing So Powerful just like a Train. Bobby is SK Real, So Cool without havin t Try t be..Just his Natural state. I SDORE this Wonderful, Lovely, Mysterious Man. Such a Gift of Reality t the World. Huge Calling & Burden on him t 'Handle it All' tho (& he has kids/family that he Also Must Protect..(Or Bet ya he'd hav A lot MORE t Speak/Say too)

One of Bob's most touching songs - very sad but words of hope with the touch of God.
@jillschoenfeldwhite5534 am so sorry for your sorrow. With God there is always hope, get out of he'll. That's the devil working
I didn't think longing for someone who's not there any more could sound so perfect
Like almost everything he wrote, damned near perfect.
Not just a person but memories
A longing and a spiritual warning
Dylan always looks out his window and he's gone
But must also leave some sad regrets
He says so much without sayin much of nothin. What can we say about His music
It's of the earth and the sky
And all that shit.
This is so good, heartbreaking and relatable.
This is my favourite MTV Unplugged album, it’s fantastic
I miss you dad! “Seen a shooting star tonight, and thought of you”
That's a sweet thought...
This song is beyond the blues.

@@mistersunshine509 I love Bob Dylan!
Winston Watson on drums = Perfect
The drummer helps make the whole album.
I pur Winston in the same category as Keltner & Buttrey. I cannot praise anymore than that .
As Warren Zevon said “Love conquers all. You can’t start it like a car. You can’t stop it with a gun.” Love Abides!🌹🎈🌹
Thank you for the upload.
I miss my great friend Boris; this song helps me tonight.
Excellent.. thank you!

Just love that line, did I miss the mark or overstep the line that only you could see . . Such a fantastic song🎉
Great song...
"Shooting Star"
Seen a shooting star tonight
And I thought of you
You were trying to break into another world
A world I never knew
I always kind of wondered if you ever made it through
Seen a shooting star tonight
And I thought of you.
Seen a shooting star tonight
And I thought of me
If I was still the same
If I ever became what you wanted me to be
Did I miss the mark or overstep the line that only you could see
Seen a shooting star tonight
And I thought of me.
Listen to the engine listen to the bell
As the last fire truck from hell goes rolling by
