Really helpful video man!👍I am an IB student. I have a question regarding the preparation for the entrance test; apart from preparing for mathematics, how much time did you have to invest in preparing for "Systematic Reasoning and Logical Thinking"- basically going through the textbook chapter and solving questions? I am asking this because with all our mocks, IA deadlines and final exams, its really hard to find a lot of time for other things.
Thanks a lot! I personally didn’t spend much time, but this resulted in me not being able to rank in the top 500. Thus, if you want to guarantee your spot, I highly recommend you study properly for this section!
Hey, love your video, it's very insightful. I am wondering how much previous programming knowledge is needed to thrive in the Computer Science and Engineering BSc? Are there any specific programming languages I should know before applying? Thanks!
Hey man love your videos! I’ve just discovered you channel and you’re truly the only one explaining so clearly (and in a well structured way) everything that needs to be known in order to apply prep etc… Keep it up you’re helping a lot of people! I just have some questions if you could answer me you would help me a lot 1. I saw on some other comment some sources where you can study to prepare for the selection process and I found the pre-university calculus course on edx is there anything else that could be useful to prepare for the math part? examples of exercises? books? anything really 2. I also found the pre-university physics course on edx, could it be used? 3. is CST the selection process? if so what does the acronym stands for? 4. Instead for Reasoning and Logic from other comments what I understood is that there’s a book or something, could you share with me also that? I can’t find it anywhere 5. I know you can’t prepare for algorithm thinking but isn’t there anywhere on the web where I can find examples of what’s the test like? Just to expect something instead of going there without any idea of that part I’m really stressed out for this exam so the more information I can get the more I feel secure and relaxed, sorry to bother with all those questions 😅 Thank you in advance for your answer 🙏 If you could also please add links to the resources you’ll point me to (if there are any) that would be awesome because the TUDelft website confuses me a lot
Greatly appreciate your comment man! I will definitely make a video about the CST in the future and how you can study for this, but until then, I’ll answer your questions: 1 - Unfortunately not, I do not know why TU Delft does not release a sample exam for this but it is mainly high school math calculus questions. I am sure the edx calculus exercises represent the exam questions as thats what TU Delft recommends you to do. 2 - No physics questions are asked for Computer Science, so no, its not useful. 3 - I am not too sure what it stands for. I think a quick google search would tell you that. And yes, the CST exam is one part of the selection process. If you don’t do the other parts stated by TU Delft, you can’t even take the CST exam. 4 - The book is on the TU Delft CSE website, and there is a CSE selection process brochure, which should also mention it. 5 - I answered this in another comment I think but its basically riddles and puzzle solving questions like Caesar ciphers and basic logic puzzles. Hope this helped!

Sorry to bother you, and thanks again :)
Hey Ana, thanks for your kind words, appreciate it! Here are the answer to your questions: 1) It is basically a calculus and vectors exam where you are asked high school level maths questions. If you look at the free MOOC calculus course Delft has to offer, it should be more than enough for you to study. 2) I did the CST exam in the Netherlands. You can do it online, but there are limited spots available. As to how I studied, I did not study that much to be honest, I read and did the book exercises for the Reasoning and Logic part, and did some math HL questions for preparing for the maths part. Hey man. Really useful video. Thank you! I have some questions about the life in Delft and the course itself. I hope you have the time to answer. 1) How much hours per week do you study? And by study I mean time spent in lectures/exercises at campus + self study. Will also be very appropriated if you tell me how much time you spent for both of these individually(I mean how much time- lectures how much time-self study). 2) Are there Partys there. From what I’ve heard everyone is stressed and only studying. So is there time and opportunity for fun? 3) Is it hard? I have some experience with programming and computers in general and I am kinda ok, even good at maths. But it worries me that the course will be too hard for me.
Hey Ivan, appreciate the support, anytime! To answer your questions: 1) I personally spent 6 days a week, 09:00 to 18:00 on studying. I am not a huge fan of going to lectures so I would rather use that time studying on what I was bad at rather than going to lectures. We have roughly 12 hours of lectures per week, the rest is fully self study. 2) There are parties if you know where to find them :) There is definitely time and opportunity for fun, but know that it will be much harder compared to the US, where people can party literally everyday. 3) The system is definitely hard. But it is a challenge, and I think it is worth it. Rather than wasting your time in university not learning much, you will definitely be challenged and learn a lot in this university. Don't let this discourage you though. However, if you want to spend your time partying and socializing more than you study, the TU Delft is not the right uni for you. This uni is 80% studying and 20% socializing if you ask me. Hope that answered your questions!

I wanted to apply for TU Delft so much but the tuition fees are so high for international students, so I went to Germany. It's so sad that universities have to charge you according to where you are from. If you come from the EU then you are so lucky, just because being born in that region gives you so many rights as opposed to international students who come from third-world poor countries and still have to pay 10x more tuition fees!

What kind of logic questions are in the exam? Is it just maths, or what?
Kardeşim merhaba, ben hollanda’da doğdum büyüdüm. Seneye bir bölüm seçmem gerek ve kafam çok karışık. Computer science and engineering seçeneklerimin arasında.
Hey man, I am currently doing my A levels and for the cst exam calculators are not allowed. So could you make a video for how to properly prepare for the cst exam in general maybe solve some questions for the logical and algorithm part? Cheers
hi did you take the entrance exam? If so, do you remember any questions? Also do you have to write a motivation letter or a personal statement for the application?
I wonder what diploma i can get other than ib
Super helpfull tho
Hi!
Just had 1 question;
Do we submit our diploma certificate while applying for university or we can do it after the numerus fixus. In my country, we get the diploma after 2 months of the deadline of TU DELFT Admission deadline. So what do we need to do, we can submit the diploma afterwards by mentioning predicted scores or need to wait for an year in such a case??
I recently graduated from University but would like to apply for a BSc in Aerospace Engineering at TU Delft. Can I submit my University degree and transcripts instead of my secondary school certificate?
Hi Ahmet, your video was very helpful for me but I have a question, with your permission
I come from a place where my high school diploma is invalid. I am an engineering graduate in my own country.
Do I need to take Mathematics and Linear Algebra again?
Do you have any information about this?
Hello Ahmet!
Quick question. For the CST , were only the answers graded or were you asked to provide some proof of work for the Maths part? Thanks in advance.

To answer your questions:
1) I personally spent 6 days a week, 09:00 to 18:00 on studying.
@@AhmetHDonmez So you're saying that you have roughly 2 hours of lectures a day? Thank you for replying to comments btw rly helpful S2.
@@joaotavares5088 Yes, on average 2-4 hours of lectures per day. Extremely rarely 6 hours.
after seeing the tuition part, nothing to say. I better get into polito. then probably with scholarship in master i will dream big. Thanks anyway brother.
Hi, are IELTS/TOEFL still necessary even if I take english A IB?
Ahmet hello. I am an Belgian citizen I studied in beykent university software engineering fow 2 years then I transferred to YTU physics program. Would I make it to apply to this bachelor program? Thank you love the content.
Hey bro when and where is the test conducted
Hi bro,
I have a question about the tuition fee as it's so high for me to pay once at a time, can I pay it in installments???
Sorry to bother you but your reply would be so useful for me
Hey, I'm in a European country getting my BSc in computer science, and I'm thinking about applying for MSc. It says that my yearly tuition fee is 2500 euros. Is that correct? Also, if I want to start by September, when is it good to apply?
Hey, small question Ahmet.
Did you take Math AA HL or AI HL ?
Thanks !
During my year, we just had Math HL, check out the TU Delft website for more specific information on which Math HL you need to take!
@@AhmetHDonmez Was it Analysis and Approaches or Applications and Interpretations the one you studied in the IB?
@@nikolaosboutsioukis3945 Before 2019 there wasn't AA or AI there was math hl and math sl

Hi, love the video but where do i check if my diploma is recognized. I'm from Poland and i'm not in an IB class
Check the link in the description, you can find everything there!
Hey coud you give some details for the exam? Amazon video >>
Hi! I wonder which high school did you graduate from in Turkey?
Hey! I graduated from Acarkent Doga College :)
Hey, I'm a year late with my comment, but I have a question for you. What IB score did you have in order to get in?
Advice for the entranc exam?
i am Emmanuel Ansah from Ghana an aspiring international student but hold HND mechanical Engineering from one of the technical university in my country wanted to apply for a masters program in mechanical engineering vehicle tech what are my chances of securing admission
I have a few questions about TU delft in cse is it possible to have a talk ?
Bro i have diploma in mechanical engineering with 8.1 cgpa....now im planning to take admission in tu Delft for bachelors of mechanical engineering....as an indian student what are all requirements for admission in bachelors programme after diploma can you tell me??
is tuition fee for the entire course or only for one year
thank yous
are there any mock tests available for their entrance test or? cuz i really do not know what to expect.
anyway thanks a lot for the info very helpful!!
You are very welcome! Unfortunately not, but for the maths section, its basically high school calculus math questions, reasoning and logic they should have example questions at the end of the book chapter (see TU Delft website) and algorithmic thinking is basic puzzle solving questions.
@@AhmetHDonmez What is the book chapter that TUDelft gives you as study material? Can we access it from now (before we apply)? Thanks a lot!
If you have a pulse and a high school diploma they let you in
good vid thanks
No worries!
@@AhmetHDonmez 😄 also i had a question about the course. do you need any prior experience with coding and/or other computer stuff? i really like math and science and am willing to work hard. although im not really a “computer nerd” cs is really interesting to me. thank u in advance
@@mars4485 No, you do not. TU Delft teaches you everything from ground up, but I highly recommend you learn Java during the summer, as it will make the transition phase much easier. Its good that you like math, you will use it a lot in this study! I'm sure you will like this course even if you are not a "computer nerd", it will just take slightly longer for you to understand things, but that should be fine!
@@AhmetHDonmez thank you, have a great day/night!
Ben de ayni major'a ve ayni universiteye application yapiyorum su an :)
Was the 42 really necessary 🥱🥱🥱🙄🙄🙄
He didn't say necessary for admission, but it would be helpful/necessary due to the rigor of this degree program
Where can we get some past questions that are asked by TU DELFT in the CST? @AhmetHDonmez
hi ahmet hope u are doing well i wanted some clarifiication on the admission proccess can u help me out. and is it possible that we can have a chat?
