Fender, do you hear the people say? We need tone master 59 bassman !!!
Frankie Tam what makes the tweeds great is the breakup and overdrive which is iconic to their handwired circuitry and tubes. Tone masters sounds great but what makes solid state amps distinguishable is the overdriven sounds. Cleans are amazing though.
...or Super Reverb. You know, with reverb and tremolo.
that seems kinda hard though, as cool as it would be. I'd give it some time.
@@OfficialRaddeck you got your wish
These ToneMasters are genuinely revolutionary amps. The line between vintage and modern has been erased.
I bought the twin and it’s such an amazing amp. I can’t tell that it’s digital; it feels so much like a tube amp, plus the reverb is gorgeous. The creambacks add a vibe that’s much more to my liking than the Jensens too. I think this might be the future of amps. If Marshall released a digital 1959 SLP I’d be all over it.
Maaaan Im tempted too. You recommend it?
Erick T94 absolutely! I really love it.
@@MrNeilfatmonkey how does it hold with pedals? Does is still hold on like the tube one?
@@xaiviermariano5421 I use a J Rockett touch and a Bogner La Grange as drives into a nice clean tone and they sound great to my ears. I don’t know how the drive on this amp compares to the drive on a real twin but I didn’t buy it for that; I bought it as a lightweight, maintenance free clean pedal platform amp and for me it works really, really well at that. My drives sound great through it and it behaves just like a clean tube amp would with pedals, in my opinion.
Does it take pedals better at full wattage as opposed to using the attenuator?
It sounds real good. My favorite are the clean tones. Well, Fender is known for clean! He seems like a real nice guy.
I was shocked by how much I love this amp. Maybe the best purchase I’ve made this year
You guys need to bring back harmonic tremolo!!!!!!!
This was actually a really good demo
When you went with the pedals the twin sounded MONSTROUS !
Im waiting for a Princeton Tone Master.
Tonemaster in a Princeton would be a tele players dream amp...Fender please make this dream come true!
@@larryyork1146
Schecter PT Special chimes in. What about my guitar with this amp?
One of the most appealing features of the Tonemaster amps is the low weight. Princetons tend to only weigh about 35 pounds, so I don't think there would be as big of a market for a Tonemaster Princeton versus a Tonemaster Twin.
I just don’t see them capturing the tone that these things make in a modeler amp. But I’m all for progress
Larry York Super Champ X2 is basically that, though still partially tube
Just traded in a Quilter head and a couple 1x12 cabinets for a blonde Twin, and couldn't be happier! Great Fender tones and love the tremolo, plus the weight make it so easy to take it over to a friends house for a jam!
I absolutely love these amps. Finally tried one today. It sounds very close to the 64 handwired deluxe! I tried the black one but am dying to try the blonde 🙏.
Fender always did make THE best amps. Period.
Except ACDC = MARSHALL
Ill be interested when you guys make the Super Reverb Tone Master
I was thinking the same thing...although the Blonde Deluxe is cool.
It would be nice for my super reverb to be 40 lbs instead of 80
Now they do make a super reverb!
Okay, now we know what you can do with the Deluxe and the Twin, I am waiting for a Princeton Tonemaster , PLEASE !!!!
Tone master affordable bedroom Princeton next?! ⚡️🎸🎛📻💥
Yup! Preferably one you could scale the power upwards. That would be the only amp I'd need.
This video sold me on the Deluxe!!
I really really love my blonde Super Reverb Tone Master amp! For an old guy with Arthritis that Loves Super Reverbs, This is a God send!!
I'm a tube amp fan, but that blonde Deluxe is damn tempting. Well, it would be if I had the money ^^. Nice job, Fender!
That's what I was thinking...I could probably get the real thing for cheaper...
@@saintrhoads3375 the real thing would be a vintage DR, and that's not cheap. Next in line would be the '64 handwired DR, which is twice the price tag. In the same price range, there are the '65 DR reissue, which is too spiky for me, and the '68 custom which is cool, but the integrated power scaling in the tone master makes it useful in so many contexts (bedroom to stage). I like the voicing of this blonde edition, just wish they make an IR with a ribbon instead of the MD241, which is too close sonically too the SM57. Other than that, I really like it.
I found multiple on reverb for under $700
@@saintrhoads3375 Nice. I live in Europe so I'm not as lucky as North American residents when it comes to vintage American amps. In any case, I applaud Fender for making these highly practical, good-sounding amps. It's a very cool direction.
@@noisesoundtonevibe I'd love to go to Europe and check out some of those famous music shops
This amp would definitely complement my new Ultra Butterscotch Blonde Tele. Fender keeps knocking it out of the park. I’m really loving their products.
I really wish these had a headphone out jack.
Hansford You can with XLR line out adapter.
Yeah, either an XLR line out adapter, OR plug the line out into an audio interface and headphones into that. That is what is great about this amp. Integrates sooo well into a studio recording environment, yet has that pushing air feel and presence of a true amp that amp sim just do not, AND you can gig with it!
yep , buy the behringer p1 or p2 ( about 50 euro for the p1 and 35 for the p2 ) , connect with a short xlr line and you're done , sounds great with the headphones .
Looks like I’m going back to SS amps after 20 years of playing tubes. Twin sounds amazing.
Keith Clark I did try one yesterday in fact - came away impressed but unwilling to pull the trigger.
@Luke I compared it with a 68 Princeton.
Great demo! I’ve got the Blonde Deluxe Reverb and I absolutely love it!
Give us some Tweeds! If you make a Bassman I'll preorder it tonight!
I have the black version. Updated to remove the bright cap and the reverb mod and love it immensely.
These amps are damn near perfect 👌
I said it many times before, maybe Fender will recognize it any time: WE NEED A Tonemaster SUPER REVERB, PLEEEEAAAAASSSSEEEEE
I was thinking in the other direction: A Fender Princeton Reverb blackface....
boy do I have news for both of you
For the love of all that is Holy, please make a 59 Bassman TM!!!
Vibroverb?
Would love to see a brownface deluxe tonemaster.
The prayers I’d have to rehearse to get one of these
Love these amps. Do you think they will take pedals better at full wattage as opposed to using the attenuator?
Both the Twin and Deluxe sound awesome! Both distorted and clean
Speaking on behalf of my new fender twin tone master, For universal 12 pedal steel guitar. It blows my Peavey Nashville 400 out of the water. This amp is a must for a pedal steel guitar player. For the price you won’t be disappointed. What’s funny, is,I have not owned. A fender twin sent the 70’s Because they were unreliable. The new fender twin blonde with Celestion speakers is the only way to go. I hope this helps.
Owned many 3000 plus amps. Milkman, 3rd power, Victoria, Benson, Swart etc. this twin tone master blows them all away. I love it
u r smoking something sir :)
@@SanFranciscoFatboy no just tired of over paying for crap
@@robertrosejr1 right on ....... good answer :). enjoy ur amp sir :)
Between this, the night sky, the ps5, and everything else that’s dropped...you guys have just made this the most expensive Christmas ever!!! Lol.
I might buy the twin reverb after Christmas.
AWESOME job Fender
if you ever make a tone master Fender 62 Showman ill buy it right now
Nice, I could live with one of these
@fender you should have added the MIDDLE EQ + a headphone connection + a send return FX loop ... This comment is valid for the Tone Master Princeton Reverb + the Tone Master Deluxe Reverb both the black one and the blonde one ... Wake up @fender we all waiting for this in the Tone Master series ... And by the way when will be the '68 Custom Vibro Champ Reverb Tone Master be added to the list? ... also the Twin Reverb Tone Master should be improved with a headphone connection + a send return FX loop ... Let's move on @fender, we will follow you!
The Creambacks are a nice touch.
Princeton please
God I love the Twin sound but I can’t justify getting one - is it possible to get the Deluxe to sound remotely close to the Twin?
Add a joyo American sound pedal. Takes you to a very convincing twin sound.
Thank you, nice demo! Is there a way to control the attenuator with the foot switch to get overdriven distorted sounds for solos and big loud clean sounds for chords so an overdrive/distortion pedal does not need to be used? Maybe a Tone Master 100watt Princeton sized amp with 12" speaker and retro brown tolex, wheat grill cloth, control knob for reverb room size, headphone output, and a foot switchable attenuator will be a cool up to date product. On the other hand maybe keeping things simple is better since Fender OD pedals are getting so good...
They sound great and the demo is excellent, but why didn't you add a loop on those amps, they would have been at level of your competitors.
I've been playing the limited edition 2014 Super Bassman and Bassman 100T with a Bassman Pro 410 Neo in Blonde and Oxblood. The Neo Basslites are where it's at and the Blonde/Oxblood is just sooo classy. Any chance we'll see a Bassman Combo? I'd love to break some guitarist hearts by swapping the Neo Celestions with Emminence Basslites and use it for a small show live bass rig and recording. :D
Princeton please... nice demo too.
Matthew T. You’re better off getting the better made 65 Princeton reverb they sell. If these are priced around $900, a better sounding tube option is available used easily around $700-$900
Dear Fender, could you please make Piggyback Amps again. I think this would be amazing. Like in the 60s. All these different amps...Bassmen, showmen or tremolux. Not only Deluxe and Twin reverb over again.
Fender makes some really great amps. Nice Strats.
Better Teles...
Thank you for not over doing it with the gain controls!
I'm gonna plug in my rock band 3 pro guitar into this thing to play Wild Wild Life
if celestion speakers are 140 a piece where are you getting the other 800 bucks from ??
Love my TMDR. Will be looking forward to new TMs in the future. Fender has a great future in this line of amps!👍😎🖖
May I ask? How does it take gain pedals?
@@williamdasher3412
The only gain pedal that I've personally used is a Tube Screamer, and for the type of music I play, it works great.
As far as higher gain, you will have to ask others, but from what has been read so far personally, the word is very good.
The newest version with the Celestion speaker would probably be even better for higher gain?
@@richardlynch5632 Awesome. Thanks for the reply.
@@williamdasher3412
Any time brother👍😎
Hmmm.... the black one i tried fell apart with drive pedals. I think these will do the same. Sounded great in this video though. The only way to really tell is band practice. They forgot the fx loop. Good player!
They say the firmware fixes this in Blackface, but I haven't tried the update on mine yet.
I was holding out for a Tone Master Princeton too but just broke down and got the Blonde Deluxe Reverb! Ive got a Two Notes Captor x for my Tube Princeton so im ready to roll. Now that tubes are scarce i feel ive got my bases covered. Luckily i just replaced the tubes in my Princeton last month!
Not counting that intro, that first set of riffs he uses is from Sunflower by Rex Orange County.
Thank you!
What a lil hipster ew
Vibro-King Tone Master
Can't wait to see a super reverb in this line.
It's out now
Have a Deluxe Reverb on the way. Will post some vids!
Make the 59 Bassman Tonemaster!!! Plz
When are the 56FA (Bassman) and the 6G16 (Vibroverb) circuits going to be available? Combos only or head versions too?
Fender please, make an early 60’s Blonde Bassman!!!!
I like his Guitar playing. great tones from these amps. $950
Very nice tone. What is the recording setup?
This guy can play
Love the tone of these fenders, but at their price point I'll have to go for a katana artist 100 mk2
Is the fender tonemaster reverb deluxe loud enough to gig in pubs/clubs ect? Ilike the fact it's smaller and lighter but worry it won't be loud enough.
Anyone else think the deluxe was just a touch more pleasing on the ear?
Yeah the twin had loads of bass. But maybe thats just the way the guy dialed it in.
And also a reissue of the original 62‘ spring reverb tank would make you rich 😉
Would the Tone Master sound any different / better if swapped with original C12K speakers ?
Thanks,
If you put this speaker in the regular tone master will it be close to identical sounding minus the bright cap mod?
@LukeThanks for the Reply Luke! I was thinking about just getting the speaker to see which one I like better then put the other speaker in a cabinet or sell it.
Nice!
Oh sure, after I just bought black one lol!
Think there's a software update that makes it just like the blonde version, except for the speaker(s) of course, which can be swapped out.
Vox should do with their rare solid state amps from the 60s like the ul730 and the conqueror
Or release an official vox pedal fuzz from the conqueror so people can play the white pedal without paying $800
Great guitar playing!
I got my Tone Master Twin Blonde a week ago!
How’s it working out for you? Might order one very soon for myself
@@duderdudeedoo1984
It’s fantastic. Go to the Anderton’s UA-cam channel and find the shootout they do between the Blonde and Black Tone Masters. They do an A/B comparison.
Hello thanks for this good moment big big like
After i just brought the regular tone master you bring this out thanks fender 👍😑
Well... you still have an amazing amp :)
What is the price for the Deluxe Reverb? I own several Fender tube amps and I really like them but as I get older, they are getting heavy for an old man.
Oh yeah FUNKY
This model has an updated reverb knob for finer adjusments at lower volumes. Now, you released newer firmware for the older model as well to help with that... are the amps absolutely identical besides than that issue (and color)? I am on the verge of buying the older model, but if this Blonde one has newer things going on, I might as well get this one... besides, it's gorgeous. Thanks!
I think the speakers are different, and the color... that's it. Otherwise I think the firmware update on the originals will get you the "updated voicing" of this newr model.
@@earthmachine1 What if I want the original firmware but in the Blonde, can I add the bright cap?
Is this amp loud enough to gig with? Not bar/club venues. Actual gigs? I just never understood how 45 watt combo amps are just as loud as 4x12 240 watt amps like Orange or Marshall Origina
What do you mean by actual gigs, not clubs/bars? Surely if you’re playing the Royal Albert Hall they’ll mic it up for you? 😀
@Luke I’m only asked to more or less know what I’m getting for my money. I actually bought the Orange 4x12 recently and haven’t looked back since. Don’t got to be a jackass about it. 😂
@Luke I actually don’t play in my bedroom at all. I’ve played crappy little venues with low wattage amps, that’s why I had asked
@@delsinreid3944 to be fair, the great thing about a lot of these modern amps is the ability to take a speaker simulated line out to the FOH. You only ever really need the amp loud enough for you on stage. For context I’ve played gigs with 100w 4x12, Helix straight to FOH and a whole host of stuff in between. I’d say this amp is plenty good enough for stage use.
anyone know the name of the song during the clean demo portion? feel like i recognize it...
I just got an FSR twin from Sweetwater in Wine Red and now you gonna make one in Cream?😩😩😩
Wonder if anyone can tell me the difference in sound between N12K Neo and Celestion Creamback ??
Sound fab!
How about an effects loop on these Fender!!!? THAT would change the game
Not needed. These are digital amps.
Damn........they sound great!
What is the first song you are playing? Not the intro. Love those amps.
Hey, I'm not 100% sure, but it certainly sounds like a little play off of "Sunflower" by Rex Orange County. Hopefully that's points you in the right direction
I'm just about to order one, but I can't decide on which one. And to me, they sound identical.
Which one did you end up buying and why?
Ya. They really do sound the same. I can't tell the difference between these TM Deluxe and the Twins-- nevermind comparing them to the tube versions. LOL.
Can someone tell me the difference between the tone master twin reverb and the tone master twin reverb blonde?
Funk baby
Princeton tone master ?
Everything sound delicious on this amps tone, however, you can keep your stratocaster.. UUUGHH , give me a Telecaster or a PRS through this and it's even more amazing
What is the name of the song he is playing at 3:30. I can't freaking remember and it is killing me.
Will the non-blonde Tone Master amps get the new firmware update, or are they both shipped with the same thing already?
Yes there will be firmware options available for the original Tone Master Twin and Deluxe.
Waiting for Super Reverb tonemaster
Can the firmware on the existing TM models be updated with the new tweaks described here?
Yes
Fender please give me a STEREO Tonemaster Twin Reverb! Everyone has stereo pedals now and you have a cab here with two speakers being driven by separate power amps. Can’t be too hard to allow stereo input. I know it’s not vintage correct, but it would be a great evolutionary step for this amp and still maintain the vintage look and vibe.
@Luke to each their own - I run a stereo rig with two Super Champ X2s and it’s great. I won’t go back.
Great Fender Amps 4 "Rock 'n' Roll", .. but I can't hear "the lively heart-breathing-vibe" in the Clean Sound, .. that I have in my Fender Tube Amps! .. "It's like a Nervous person, who doesn't Breath properly!" .. The Dirty Sound is Great! ;-)
