oh SNAP! Corey with the A string tune DURING his solo at 1:10:36, on the fly :O !!!! brilliant work, both of you guys :) I just ordered one of the cherry sunburst Singers last night and can't wait to get it!
The Korina wood on the Pete Howlett is also called Black Limba and does make for nice ukuleles for the reasons you guys mentioned, but it is not an expensive wood by luthier standards at about $13-$17 per board foot.
What an amazing and sweet Song "The Rain" is ♥️ Joe Hisaishi is a Great Composer and the arrangement from Kalei and Corey is so nice and this Koolau Tenor sounds so baianced. Another awesome Podcast!!! Stay safe and healthy and be blessed from Germany, Bettina
Beautiful opening song-lovely rendition and stellar playing by Kalei and Corey! You guys ought to add this to your album if that's possible. Mahalo for the beautiful music. 👏🤙
Ah, Rain is so lovely. I always admire your complete ease with your instruments . Whether it’s playing a new song beautifully in no time at all, or playing new instruments you’ve never seen before and making them sound gorgeous, the two of you are terrific. I’d love to know more about those blingy Mauloas. That rosewood spruce concert sounded very nice. Where are they from?
Thanks again for great podcast. I especially love the sound sample Kalei did on the Kinnard, having fun figuring out how to play it. Did he make that up on the spot? You guys continue to amaze me.
Thanks guys, just got to love them Ko’olau. That album must be gathering pace , playing exceptional as always. As a question, if I may ask, what sound board woods do you guys think accompany each other. Have a great week.
oooo -- The Rain -- exquisite thank you!
The Rain was beautiful 😍

Love the melody of the piece Corey plays on the Pono AB-C. Is that a particular piece that has a name or an improvisation?
the channel is specialized in ukulele, but you could bring a Brazilian instrument called "cavaquinho".
what song did he play in the pete howlette uke section?
Exemplary instruments. Exemplary playing.
Rain was CHICKEN SKIN
