- It’s incredible to come back to Oliana year after year and see how this cliff has become an international epicenter for high end sport climbing. It’s given me the opportunity to enjoy many special moments with good friends, trying hard routes together and having fun!

well yes about 2 months ago i had only been introduced to the wonderful world of climbing by watching la dura dura and i took an instant liking to chris sharma. its hard to climb where i live there is no spots near by so i can only go every 2 weeks to a gym. the closest place i know of is fair head northern ireland.
Grimsby I have the same problem where I live in the US. I picked the one thing the state of Louisiana doesn't support. So I have to drive a hour and twenty mins to the nearest gym once or twice a week.
I live in a relatively small city, but it takes about an hour to drive through the traffic jam to the climbing gym on weekdays. I think it is quite of normal. Usually, you need a lot more time to go to the real rocks. And you always can buy a couple of holds or hang a finger-board at home to do your daily exercises.

Escalada espectacular, nada que decir sobre eso, pero las medidas de seguridad por el piso. Escaladores profesionales sin casco, aseguradores sin manos en la cuerda, horroroso. Lo peor es que muchos son el ejemplo a seguir de demasiados escaladores nuevos.

Virtually every pro climber considers a grigri "auto brake" even though Petzl says it's only "brake assisted". Heck, I rope solo with a grigri (not approved by Petzl), as do tons of climbers

As a beginning climber, I am surprised to see how safety is treated by the pros. I would think they would want brain buckets and their Gri-Gri technique (or lack thereof) is shocking. Yes, they are good climbers, but they might as well free solo the way they belay!
You said it yourself, you are a begginner,. People like Andrada started climbing when we were in our father's ballsack. I hope people from youtube get to understand some day that there is not only one way of using the gri-gri. I am sure the way petzl designed it to work is maybe the most "correct" one, but I would love to think that people that have been climbing for +40 years do know what they are doing.

Why inject politics? I watch climbing videos to get away from that crap. Lots of people I boulder with from Ohio were Trump voters.
STOP videos where professional climbers do not wear helmets. They are influencing the new generations to take unnecessary risks.
The most of the people, which do sportclimbing, do not wear helmets. And a helmet in such steep routes is unnecessary.
Stop trying to decide who is allowed to watch which video.
A lot of loose rock at this cliff, no traffic, bad limestone! Holds break all the time there I hear, and the sheer vertical cliff rains rock onto the belayers!!!
For such steep sport climbing where the rock likely fell off naturally and were even cleaned to ensure the routes were clean idk that wearing a helmet is so necessary. Optimally would everyone wear a helmet during all kinds of climbing at all times? Yes, for sure, but it is impractical considering the discomfort a helmet can cause when weighed against the low risk of a head injury at this crag. I'd say maybe the belayers should wear a helmet just to be safe, but to claim that everyone needs one is a little extreme.
