Nice work guys!
That's the perfect bike for my needs - I love the mods perfect for my application. The weight seems off, I would guess 225 ish area.
Love the look of this bike! You guys did an awesome job with it! Seriously Jelious!
I would like to see a close up look at the new cycra pro hand guards. they are more expensive than the old style but I haven't been able to really see the difference. in about ready to get some for my new bike and I'm just waiting to see what they changed and what exactly the mounting options are. thanks guys!
For sure my dream bike!
Looks awesome.
Is that the Walsh by comp edge?
I ride there all the time
Magnificent Husk-A-Varna!?
Jay, would this bike benefit from a 5.75 slide vs a stock cut one? Could you tell much difference after you cut the slide on yours? Thanks, Adam
Just curious, anyone know how much Jay relieved off the intake side of the slide? thx
Renthal has a 51T twinring for KTM??
I have heard so much about this slide mod, but I have seen carbs slides that have a half moon stock and some that don't. Do you still mod those with the half moon and if you do how much do you file it down?
Sweet! Have you opened up the '17 XC airbox? I'm still struggling with mine and have yet to open it up.
the XC air box isn't plugged up like the TX. I haven't had to do anything to mine.
Dirt Bike Channel awesome thx!
I find it funny that the huskys are heavier than kato even though they have carbon composite rear subframe
Do you think they will make changes for the 18 models? There is something about drilling into a brand new bike that is unappealing.
BRAAPPTORRR I'm sure they will. I'm sort of stuck right now, not being a modifications and jetting guru. KTM/Dealers don't really acknowledge it, the carb. and jetting aftermarket guys are designing AROUND the air issue. I have to give RMATV/MC alot of credit here, they are the first really high visibility people in the industry that are plainly saying and showing it.
johnpaulstez I agree, I had a husky/ktm dealer say it was just forum nonsense. Hard to pull the trigger on a 9500$ bike that's needs tweaking.....
What's everyone's take on the TE300 vs the TX300? I get a lot of conflicting info between the two. Afaik, the TX is lighter due to lack of headlight, different lighter forks and? I'm curious how people would differentiate the the two, strengths weaknesses etc... thanks!
The TX is a cross country bike and the TE is enduro. and the TC is a track bike. The TC is a 5 speed with shorter ratio gearing so you can hit jumps out of a corner, 19” rear wheel and just a kickstart. The TX has 6 gears with wider ratio, 18” rear wheel so bigger tire, and electric start and kick. And the TE has 6 speed as well but it’s geared to be able to lug around tight sections and rocks, it’s got softer suspension and kick and electric start and 18” rear wheel. But it doesn’t have the same bottom end that a TX would have because it’s got a bottom end similar to a race bike but a top end similar to a trail bike. At least that’s what it seems like. I’m not reading this or anything that’s just my personal knowledge. The Tx can be used everywhere for many different applications. you can lug it around right stuff more than a TC but it also has the power to hit jumps. I love my Tx300
A very sweet ride no question, Do you really think the overheating protection is necessary? I owned a 2013 ktm 300 xc and that bike had the worst bent broken and JB welded radiators I have ever seen on a bike and I never had it overheat once. I think alot of the bolt on parts you guys throw at these project builds does not add any performance at all, some of them especially taking brand new DiD dirt star rims off and replacing them with tusk racing products actually downgrades the bike.
i rarely overheat as well; however, we have one very technical trail we ride often - lots of downed trees on hills. this trail is the reason I have to have a fan. It is amazing the difference it makes.
The rest is great though I️ bet yours would mess up without the fan love you bike builds just letting you know what happened to me sorry if it sounds harsh but cv4 sucks
248lb ? How the hell did you add 15lbs?
Why would someone choose the tx300 over the te300 for a trail bike?
AER forks and the close ratio transmission. I am unsure if the transmission ratios are the same as the previous 6 speed.
mitchell baxter because it's lighter and has more bite
All that glitters is not gold .
@RockyMountainATVMC do a $3000 yz250f build
@Rocky Mountain ATV MC
working on a 2004 YZ250 (two stroke) build right now!
Awesome. Love'n it. You also gotta do a 4 stroke!!!
Brandon Hoover What's that? lol jk. Hopefully soon.
this bike is bad ass. just jet the bike and it's 🍒 the problem is don't follow anyone jetting specs. you need to tune yourself air screw and clip. one thing I don't agree with is gearing. I run 48t on the rear for trails and moto lets me have more 3rd gear
Geez somebody butchered that airbox :/
There no way that bike weights that much did add a bowling ball to the bike !!
All those extras add up, plus he didn’t say if that included a full tank or not
I'm also on the fence. was going to get a 17' 300 but spending almost 10k for a bike that needs mods to function properly is BS!!! Epic fail on husq. staying with Ktm 300xc.
Asymetrik
Your an idiot dude. Do some research before trying to give someone a hard time..
I'm sorry that this sounds so rude but anyone that 'modifies' an air box to that atrocious standard can't be trusted to give bike set up advice!!! What did you use, a blunt Stanley knife whilst blind folded!?
I can't believe how much you've butchered a brand new bike to make it 'better' 😔
That's how the Husqvarna's air boxes are. They are super restrictive. What's your solution? This works really well.
