The Tomboy Senior is a David Boddington adaptation of Vic Smeeds 1950 Tomboy design, being increased in size to a 48" wingspan, which I will power with an 1950's Mills diesel engine. This build series will take you step by step through the construction of the model, culminating in the maiden flight, and a build & flight review.

Nice job it's worth keeping a close eye on the trailing edge when shaping the profile, removal of the material can cause it to bow. This can be corrected by a light sanding on the other side.

Nice work there Mark. I prefer to make my own trailing edge, it's cheaper and I can grade the wood better. Your doing a grand job.

What did you use (material ) for the board to pin the build?

I use a balsa building board made from end grain, here is the link to the product www.slecuk.com/balsa-building-board I had my blocks made, cut from a square bar and the ends machined square.
