So cool seeing you back home in Australia and game adventuring with Kim & all your old friends at all your old stomping grounds and giving us a glimpse of your family there. Thanks Wood✌️
Having the owner of Southern Games recognize both of you, knowing you've been in the US for 10 years and bantering with you was the wholesome content and smile I seriously needed today (having a crap day, tomorrow will be better). Thanks for being a part of the day getting better Wood. :)
that dude is a real one. Still runing the same business. Still loving his life. And even remembered you AND THAT YOU MOVED? Thats a diamond in the rough. What an awesome experience.
So nice to see Chris again, I'm an ancient viewer of the channel, mainly "The Game Quest". Nice to see him in good health and still being such a sweet person.
Thanks for having us on, Wood! So glad to continue to be your go-to way to game on Switch and beyond, and better than ever now that VITURE Pro is here. 😎 Happy to see you found a few cool things on your search, and we hope your flight home was made more bearable by VITURE Pro!
@@TheACanning I have yet to see AR glasses that sit slightly further from your eyes than normal glasses if that is what you are referring to. I assume there is a good reason for it, but that aspect has kept me from looking more seriously into getting a pair myself tbh.
Some wholesome moments, between his brother trying to give Wood back their shared Gameboy and the store owner remembering the guys, & even giving them the old discount. Even a surprise appearance from the "nah its cheap" guy. XD
Aw, Wood, this video was so wholesome. The part with your little brother surprising you with your old game boy made me tear up. Reminds me of gaming memories with my own brothers. Im sure the nostalgic Outset Island music had something to do with it too. Lol
Wood, this video makes me adore and respect you even more. You are such a kind hearted person. I’m glad that even though you didnt/don’t have good parents you still have loving supportive people in your life. You deserve all the world has to offer. Thank you for being you and even though you don’t know me thank you for bringing joy to my life. (I’m Shellbell on twitch)
Seeing you game hunting in your home country and showing off the sights & sounds of Australia, showing Kim where you came from and introducing us all to your family is so very awesome. Thank You for sharing this with us Wood. We really appreciate you & Kim. PS, whatever happened to your old Game Quest co-host? The guy who was always with you in your first couple of original Game Quest videos?
I watched both episodes of this, genuinely 2 of the best videos you have ever made in my opinion. Such a chill vibe, great editing, good information and nice seeing you enjoying being around your friends, Wood. Love it :)
Been a looooong time viewer, so this was incredibly wholesome. Been there for "Nah, it's cheap". The confusion of Gawler and Goolwa. VISITING America, not living in it. Finding out you worked at Bunnings where you weren't allowed to use knives, so you had to claw your way into stock 😂 Been around for all of it, look forward to many more years 😁
These travel vlogs shopping for rare games are some of my favorite videos. loved both of them Wood, and hope you and Kim we're able to easily beat the sickness waiting for you when you got home
You can start feeling old Wood, i saved this to my Nostalgia playlist for the Game Quest throwbacks. Loved those videos back in the day. They were like the reality shows on tv but on UA-cam which was pretty crazy at the time
That Game Quest intro brought back many memories! I remember watching you back then, and Chris is definitely still a legend. I kinda stopped watching religiously when I stopped collecting, but now I have a Switch I'll definitely be watching more! A great pair of videos, and it's great to see you still at it and on the way to 2 million! May have to go rewatch the OG videos too. Nice one Wood!
As an Adelaide bean, I loved this. It’s nice to see that not everyone who leaves becomes too cool to appreciate this place. And as a southy, I’ll be checking out that cashies (Morphett Vale?)
I remember watching your family confession video from 5+ years ago, hearing the very sad life story of a guy who seemingly had everything... and it's so strange to see some of those places and people from that story today. It's like I know those people but I haven't met them ever... yet it makes me feel nostalgic about them.
Been watching this channel for a while for game recommendations for my newly started switch collection. Didn’t subscribe before because I don’t play on the switch too much yet. This video made me subscribe. As someone who has also left their childhood home, the emotions you conveyed through this video struck a nerve. Your clips from your earlier days show how much you and your channel have grown but you are also able to convey how much of your heart is still in Australia. I admit I haven’t seen much of your channel, this was just what came through in these couple of videos. Wish you the best my man, hope you and your channel achieve even greater success.
This was such a wholesome and fun video :) I’d love to visit Australia - and specifically Adelaide - some day! It’s always been near the top of my traveling bucket list!
This little game hunt in Aus was great. It's shown me that we do have places to find games, I just haven't looked hard enough for them. Thanks wood, great series!
It kinda reminds me that there’s a child inside us all- one that loves to film videos, love collecting games, that shared a game boy with his brother; like it’s fun to remember that and try to hold that inside of us :) so wholesome, I feel like Chris is such a genuinely good person/friend to have around, and I really liked the nostalgia of you going back and renewing those relationships; always love a game hunting video :)
It's so funny while you were away from content and the podcast I went back and watched some of you old videos and now you're going through the past and showing us a lil behind the scenes. Awesome stuff Wood. One love
Having only discovered your channel a few months back and not being up to speed on the lore this is so cool to see! Born and raised in little old Adelaide!
I was huge into the Game Quest vids ten years ago so this made my day! Chris! The old intro! THE NAH IT'S CHEAP GUY?!?! Those vids really inspired me to get out and hunt for old games all those years ago, and although I've mostly moved on from collecting, it remains a real fun memory. Thanks Wood. Also can't believe the Nah it's cheap guy is wearing practically the same thing. It's like he's frozen in time or something.
As someone who has watched your channel from the beginning this video was so pleasantly nostalgic for me! It was great to see Chris again and see you revisit some of the old spots!
I really enjoy this kind of video, where it's you and others going outside and doing gaming related stuff, whether it be in Australia or the US. It's a nice change of pace.
Been watching since game-traders Marion shared one of your videos on Facebook and you had around 50 subscribers. This video brought back so many memories from those old game quest videos and it’s crazy that the southern games owner still recognised you guys! Glad to see Chris is doing well, this video was very wholesome.
This was awesome! As a subscriber and viewer from the old days when you were in Australia, this is nostalgic even for me. I love it! Alway remembered that "Nah, it´s Cheap" guy, what a character, made an impact in the wrong way but still entertaining one. Glad i got to see this! Made my evening or rather night :)
Dude, I’m from Adelaide, been watching your videos for years and years and years. Knew you were from Adelaide and I also know Chris (more so his younger brother Will) and it’s somehow still surreal to see you walking around places I go to all the time, and some throwbacks! Brighton Car Boot Sale? Bought my first SNES there (and did year 10 at that very school). Pooraka markets is now not far from where I live… but the thing that threw me the most was you standing outside of Signatures Vietnamese… I NEVER knew that it used to be a game shop, but it’s one of my most frequented places for noodles and Banh Mi… I feel your pain about the Port Adelaide markets, I remember buying a boxed Atari 2600 from one of the stalls there called “I Used To Have That” I’ve always lived here, and always loved living here… and yet you somehow made me feel like I’ve experienced Adelaide in a new light. Thank you. It was the video I didn’t know I needed, but it warmed my heart.
really enjoyed this series, not just for rare game hunts, but that additional assuie flair. Also during the viture ad. i cant stop laughing at the dude shaking his controller as hard as possible while playing

I have the astral chain collectors edition and yes, as far as my knowledge goes this version is released in Europe only, some cool artwork and the cd soundtrack is good
You are 50% right, there is also a Japanese version with a different in my opinion better cover front artwork on the box. I have the Japanese one and is pretty much the same version and yeah it's a very cool collector's edition! 😊

That Australian Gameboy is cool! As a Canadian i was pleasantly surprised last time i visited that most switch games are cheaper in Aus compared to Canada. Games are 60 - 70 including taxes in Aus while in Canada most games are 80 plus tax (ends up being closer to $90 after tax). Definitely stocking up next time!
I've really enjoyed seeing a sneak peak into your australian roots these past couple videos, I think it's pretty common as an american to have a fascination with literally anywhere else, but in this instance specifically australia. When you go back I hope you do something like this again. Also definitely noticed in comparison that your accent has toned down! I looooved hearing the locals speak with their thicker accents lol
