So cool seeing you back home in Australia and game adventuring with Kim & all your old friends at all your old stomping grounds and giving us a glimpse of your family there. Thanks Wood✌️
Enjoyed both episodes 👍 you need to do gamechasers again
@@mikeuk666 Gamechasers. I miss seeing Billy occasionally showing up on Wood's channel.
Im Australia and i live in Adelaida
Having the owner of Southern Games recognize both of you, knowing you've been in the US for 10 years and bantering with you was the wholesome content and smile I seriously needed today (having a crap day, tomorrow will be better).
Thanks for being a part of the day getting better Wood. :)
You better have a better day or you better get your butt ready for a butt smacking
that dude is a real one. Still runing the same business. Still loving his life. And even remembered you AND THAT YOU MOVED? Thats a diamond in the rough. What an awesome experience.
The store owner bit was so wholesome 😭
Also we had Tazos in South Africa too so I can only imagine the nostalgia...
So nice to see Chris again, I'm an ancient viewer of the channel, mainly "The Game Quest". Nice to see him in good health and still being such a sweet person.
Thanks for the shout out! Great to say hi.
Only Wood can go to Australia, come back to the states for the direct and podcast, THEN GO BACK to Australia
Going back? Did you forget something?
I don't think he went back, pretty sure he put these together when he got home
@@Bearded_Positivity r/whoosh
@@skizerp5603 🤣🤣🤣
@Bearded_Positivity It was a joke
Some wholesome moments, between his brother trying to give Wood back their shared Gameboy and the store owner remembering the guys, & even giving them the old discount.
Even a surprise appearance from the "nah its cheap" guy. XD
Thanks for having us on, Wood! So glad to continue to be your go-to way to game on Switch and beyond, and better than ever now that VITURE Pro is here. 😎 Happy to see you found a few cool things on your search, and we hope your flight home was made more bearable by VITURE Pro!
Are there glasses available that fit the user better. It looks like Wood is wearing a pair that would fit a 5 year old.
@@TheACanning I have yet to see AR glasses that sit slightly further from your eyes than normal glasses if that is what you are referring to. I assume there is a good reason for it, but that aspect has kept me from looking more seriously into getting a pair myself tbh.
Anyone else thinks Wood’s friend Chris is just Australian Bob? 😊
Other way round 😂 Bob is Chris II 😆
Bob and Woods friendship makes WAY more sense now.
Aw, Wood, this video was so wholesome. The part with your little brother surprising you with your old game boy made me tear up. Reminds me of gaming memories with my own brothers. Im sure the nostalgic Outset Island music had something to do with it too. Lol
Seeing you game hunting in your home country and showing off the sights & sounds of Australia, showing Kim where you came from and introducing us all to your family is so very awesome. Thank You for sharing this with us Wood. We really appreciate you & Kim.
PS, whatever happened to your old Game Quest co-host? The guy who was always with you in your first couple of original Game Quest videos?
Wood, this video makes me adore and respect you even more. You are such a kind hearted person. I’m glad that even though you didnt/don’t have good parents you still have loving supportive people in your life. You deserve all the world has to offer. Thank you for being you and even though you don’t know me thank you for bringing joy to my life. (I’m Shellbell on twitch)
Wood's logic (1:17):
He gave me a dollar off and I didn't even ask
I've got haggling skills
5:45 Chris .... you're not fooling anyone Bob from wolf den 😂
Been a looooong time viewer, so this was incredibly wholesome.
Been there for "Nah, it's cheap".
The confusion of Gawler and Goolwa.
VISITING America, not living in it.
Finding out you worked at Bunnings where you weren't allowed to use knives, so you had to claw your way into stock 😂
Been around for all of it, look forward to many more years 😁
Good lord, thank you. 🙏 that means so much to me that you stuck around all these years ❤
Shopping for these kinda things in Aus is such a great experience. Everyone’s so kind and the scenery between each shop is amazing
I watched both episodes of this, genuinely 2 of the best videos you have ever made in my opinion. Such a chill vibe, great editing, good information and nice seeing you enjoying being around your friends, Wood. Love it :)
Totally thought this was a re upload at first but was pleasantly surprised that it wasn’t
You can start feeling old Wood, i saved this to my Nostalgia playlist for the Game Quest throwbacks. Loved those videos back in the day. They were like the reality shows on tv but on UA-cam which was pretty crazy at the time
I remember watching your family confession video from 5+ years ago, hearing the very sad life story of a guy who seemingly had everything... and it's so strange to see some of those places and people from that story today. It's like I know those people but I haven't met them ever... yet it makes me feel nostalgic about them.
You're the only youtuber that pops up on my home feed as soon as you post a video. I literally have to search for some other guys I follow
I LOVED THE OLD VIDEO I EVEN RE WATCH THEM being australian you got me into retro games thanks woody and yes nah its cheap still cracks me up !!!
I've been watching the old vids too!! These new vlogs are awesome!!
These travel vlogs shopping for rare games are some of my favorite videos. loved both of them Wood, and hope you and Kim we're able to easily beat the sickness waiting for you when you got home
This was such a wholesome and fun video :)
I’d love to visit Australia - and specifically Adelaide - some day! It’s always been near the top of my traveling bucket list!
Sometimes i miss the cold mornings where you can rug up….im from Victoria but live in North qld which all year round is warm 🙏🏽i bet ya your mate Chris has been called John Lennon throughout his life at least once or twice 🤘🏽Kim would have to be one of the most likeable persons ever, your a lucky wood 🙏🏽
I knew Kim in high school she was so quiet.
Having only discovered your channel a few months back and not being up to speed on the lore this is so cool to see! Born and raised in little old Adelaide!
As someone who has watched your channel from the beginning this video was so pleasantly nostalgic for me! It was great to see Chris again and see you revisit some of the old spots!
Dude, I’m from Adelaide, been watching your videos for years and years and years. Knew you were from Adelaide and I also know Chris (more so his younger brother Will) and it’s somehow still surreal to see you walking around places I go to all the time, and some throwbacks! Brighton Car Boot Sale? Bought my first SNES there (and did year 10 at that very school). Pooraka markets is now not far from where I live… but the thing that threw me the most was you standing outside of Signatures Vietnamese… I NEVER knew that it used to be a game shop, but it’s one of my most frequented places for noodles and Banh Mi… I feel your pain about the Port Adelaide markets, I remember buying a boxed Atari 2600 from one of the stalls there called “I Used To Have That”
I’ve always lived here, and always loved living here… and yet you somehow made me feel like I’ve experienced Adelaide in a new light. Thank you. It was the video I didn’t know I needed, but it warmed my heart.
It's so funny while you were away from content and the podcast I went back and watched some of you old videos and now you're going through the past and showing us a lil behind the scenes. Awesome stuff Wood. One love
This little game hunt in Aus was great. It's shown me that we do have places to find games, I just haven't looked hard enough for them. Thanks wood, great series!
Great video I felt the authenticity of your nostalgia through these, and they made me happy even though I'm not Australian.
Mate! A new Game Quest is the dream at this point. Glad to see your old videogame store is still going strong, and Chris is happy and well.
Thanks so much for making this one. It's awesome! 👌🏻
Safe trip home!
The intro was, Perfect!! 👌
It kinda reminds me that there’s a child inside us all- one that loves to film videos, love collecting games, that shared a game boy with his brother; like it’s fun to remember that and try to hold that inside of us :) so wholesome, I feel like Chris is such a genuinely good person/friend to have around, and I really liked the nostalgia of you going back and renewing those relationships; always love a game hunting video :)
I love the Maniac Mansion pillow wish Kim would make more.
I've been watching since the first Game Quest episode and seeing you and Chris back together is so great to see. A nice trip down memory lane.
That was a really great video, though I've never even been to Australia, it still made me sad to see so much of a retro game hunting scene had just gone away
Love it, you need to do Melbourne and also take Kim to an AFL game and have a meat pie would be fun
I've been watching you for almost 6 years and had no idea you had siblings. These videos were awesome. I live watching your content.
This was awesome! As a subscriber and viewer from the old days when you were in Australia, this is nostalgic even for me. I love it!
Alway remembered that "Nah, it´s Cheap" guy, what a character, made an impact in the wrong way but still entertaining one.
Glad i got to see this! Made my evening or rather night :)
This video is so precious. 😭 Love seeing you reconnect with old friends and stores and reminiscing on how far you’ve come
I've been watching you so much to the point you appeared in my dream finding tech and game stuff together lmao
Man, I love seeing all the smaller Adelaide stores to check out. Also nuts seeing the places that I;m familiar with in your videos again.
So glad I watched both parts of this journey glad you guys had so much fun
I really enjoy this kind of video, where it's you and others going outside and doing gaming related stuff, whether it be in Australia or the US. It's a nice change of pace.
This was such a cool episode!! I love how nostalgic this has been for Wood.
"Nothing's really like a deal like gotta snag it." *shows a copy of Devil's Third for $50* (I know the NTSC version is super expensive, but $50 for that game regardless of currency, compared to the NA version, is a steal.)
I am studying journalism and we talk about physical media and its consumers this just gives me hope that it’s not dead there a audience for people who still travel to find video games even movies I love this video
Been watching since game-traders Marion shared one of your videos on Facebook and you had around 50 subscribers. This video brought back so many memories from those old game quest videos and it’s crazy that the southern games owner still recognised you guys! Glad to see Chris is doing well, this video was very wholesome.
I’m a proud South Australian and it was good to have you back here mate. Goes without saying though the best thing in South Australia is the mighty Adelaide crows 💪💙❤️💛
Zack has impeccable comedic timing. Good job.
Love this, super nostalgic and good times 🙂
Good work on picking up that Rare Astral Chain Collectors Edition mate! It's one of my favourite games on switch to, and I was fortunate enough to pick up that exact edition on eBay last year by chance brand new for a good price. 👌 It's a beautiful edition and probably one of my favourite switch collectors editions of all time. Keen to see you back in Australia again soon brother!
Its so good to watch you go around and digging games. Loved it❤
I'd love to jump into that green screen beach background, it looks like a cold beach. Also unlocked a childhood memory with Tazos there, IIRC they're not sold as is but are free prizes in snacks.
I felt so nostalgic from this episode I miss game quest 😭❤️
This was great, no clock bait, pure wholesome videogame hunting
I remember the nah it's cheap guy. Look where he is selling dingy overpriced games compared to you! You have come so far. Well done !
This was a wholesome watch
I was huge into the Game Quest vids ten years ago so this made my day! Chris! The old intro! THE NAH IT'S CHEAP GUY?!?! Those vids really inspired me to get out and hunt for old games all those years ago, and although I've mostly moved on from collecting, it remains a real fun memory. Thanks Wood.
Also can't believe the Nah it's cheap guy is wearing practically the same thing. It's like he's frozen in time or something.
It's such a crazy feeling watching this since I've lived down south in Adelaide. I'm from Moana and it's nuts that you were back the other week!!
Getting a sort of retrospective of Game Quest was such a nice throwback that gave some good warm and fuzzy vibes that I appreciated
Dude I'm so happy to see Chris again I remember watching you guys at the very beginning of the channel this episode was so nostalgic!
OMG TAZOS, we also had them in Portugal!! Ahhh the nostalgia, I had completely forgotten about them!
Please never stop making videos Wood❤️
I've been following you since the original Game Quest episodes. It's pretty surreal to see you back here full circle. You've come a really far way dude. Really happy for your success!
I visited Brisbane way back in 2005 and fell in love with Australia. If my budget ever allows it I would love to go back.
Those Mighty Max toys at 17:55 were my absolute FAVORITE things to play with back in the day! Totally forgot about them!
Thank you for sharing this journey and the history with us all 🙏🥰
Watching this after finding you from your Game Quest days brought the biggest smile to my face
Looks like you guys had a really nice visit! So wholesome and fun.
Loved the Game Quest throwback. That’s how I started watching your channel so long ago.
OMG, the fire red story makes me SOOOO freaking happy i am the youngest child lol
I love when Zac adds editing moments XD but also this was a lot of fun to see, thanks for taking us to Australia for a bit.
Ahhh yes game hunting 😌
What a feel good episode!! Reconnecting with old mates!! Old shops!!
Glad you had fun here! :)
Man I live for these kinds of videos, nice mix of game hunt with other stuff. Wish you would do more of these.
Love those kind of vlog videos. Please do more! 🙏
another great video, it warmed my heart today, thank you Wood, keep up the good work😁
Loved this wood, very wholesome and heartfelt 🥹
Idk why but I love Zack so much 😂 Even tho he only appears far few in between vids.
Wood, i just need you to visit every country and video game shop lol. these are my favorite videos ever that you do
Loved both parts!!! Wishing you all the best Wood!!
Imagine being the organiser of that Australian Comic Con and finding out the pool soul at the door tried to charge Wood a $50 entry fee.
One of my favourite recent vids. Enjoyed. Thank you 🎉
This is the first time I've heard someone talk about tasos in UA-cam. I remember having so much fun playing with them. It was the best part of buying chips.
Love the use of the Dark Cloud soundtrack!
we love you wood and kim
So trippy watching and being from Adelaide and going these places myself all the time
9:12 THAT THROWBACK WAS SO COOL
I have the astral chain collectors edition and yes, as far as my knowledge goes this version is released in Europe only, some cool artwork and the cd soundtrack is good
that was so sweet. thanks for sharing!!
Adelaide, now I know why UA-cam pushed your videos to me a few years ago. It's so surreal seeing places I know in a video like this.
The Port markets were great, I especially miss having lunch in the train along the side, even though I've only done it like twice
Ahhhh! I was literally next door at Comic-con and you guys were at the Mega Toy Faire?! I chose to teach tcg, instead of MAYBE meeting you? DAMNIT! You're definitely right about the market scene in Adelaide, it's dropped off over the last few years and it's mainly in FB Marketplace and garage sales unfortunately. Glad you guys were able to make a trip of it though!
In the Netherlands we had something similar to your Tazo's, they were called Flippo's here.
Oh my god! Croc! This brings back memories. We did have Spyro as well but we also had that Croc game! Totally forgot about that until I saw it in this video.
This is the most wholesome and fun Beatemups video I’ve seen in a long time.
Wood please keep doing the Vlog style videos, they're so great!
Omg I remember tazos we got them in crisp packets called walkers in UK, they had looney tunes characters.
Were they mighty max toys I remember those, such a great cartoon and toy I remember boys at school had those.
Those game places looked a mazing it was nice that you saw your old friends and family. What a great trip. Thanks for sharing. Australia seems amazing!
