I was watching this and all I could think about is "you are more ambitious than me." Really makes me appreciate the tools and equipment professionals have.
😄 Not sure that can be true with all the work you do, but appreciated! And agreed! Watching someone with one of those legit tire machines do this… just insane. Hope you’re doing well!
Some things must be done by skilled people with suitable tools. Time (+ Rim) do cover the cost of the mechanic by far. Better not mess around with this chinese steel stake in reach of your scrotum. Anyways, good to see progress on your dads car! Greetings from Germany
@@AndrewReuter I actually wanted to say, "Thanks Again!" I know things didn't quite work out for you, but you gave me the courage to try myself. I got the tires off and the new ones on, but ill have to experiment with some tricks to inflate the tires tomorrow and balance them. Once again, thanks! There's something wrong, if everything goes right, when it comes to vehicle repair.
Did that rear differential whine/noise go away? I know that Limited Slip differentials require the limited slip fluid or else they will whine and chatter around corners.
All is not in vain. Guessing that trying that gave you information that could apply to something else you work on later. Hey, and great exercise! You probably added a couple of years to your life! I'm even afraid to change a tire and let's not talk about breaking off a tire stem in -40 Fahrenheit weather while putting air in a tire. Won't do that again.
you used the tire soap all wrong, youre supposed to pack the bead not lube it. usually one side works but sometimes both is required. be very liberal with it

That thing worked you out!! Proud of you for trying. Can’t say I would ever attempt it.

Good analysis! Thanks as always man! Take care!
"I regret nothing" :D man - quite a journey you've had!
Argh. I'm actually planning on doing exactly this later today... waiting for the bead breaker
Ah, fun ahead! Best of luck to you! Let me know how it goes!!!!
