  • Georgia Aquarium is one of the largest aquariums in the world, so you're going to need a plan if you want to see and do it all. Watch this video for helpful tips so you know what to expect when you visit. Book your tickets here: www.getyourguide.com/georgia-...
Some of the highlights of the Georgia Aquarium include the 6.3 million gallon "Ocean Voyager" tank that houses two whale sharks, two giant manta rays, sea turtles, and so much more. I also LOVED the glass tunnel leading into the main viewing area. Their shark tank was fantastic, with great whites, hammerheads, tiger sharks, and more. They've got some of the best live coral reefs that I've ever seen outside of the actual ocean. And they have really engaging and interactive educational information throughout each space, which I really appreciate.
The Georgia Aquarium also features two live shows: a sea lion show and a dolphin show. Both give you fun opportunities to get wet, but also to see some amazingly talented and intelligent animals.
Because we care deeply about animals and the environment here at Perfect Little Planet, we're hesitant to support facilities that keep animals in captivity. When you do your research on Georgia Aquarium, you can find plenty of articles that denounce the facility for their treatment of animals, but you can also find plenty of honors and accolades for their treatment. Ultimately, because the aquarium focuses heavily on rescuing and rehabilitating marine life, researching and protecting endangered species, and then their considerable conservation efforts around the world, we are happy to support and promote the aquarium. You can read more about their research and conservation work, as well as their commitment to the ethical treatment of the animals in their care, here: www.georgiaaquarium.org/resea...

For anyone concerned about the Georgia Aquarium's treatment of the animals in their care, I put more info in the video description about their commitment to ethical and humane treatment. Ultimately, they do considerably more good than harm, not only for their animals but for those in the wild through their conservation and research efforts. I'm happy to support them, and I hope you do, too. Yes, I was in Atlanta on a work trip and had a few hours to stop in here. We're all doing well and having a great summer. How are you doing?
