My dad has started a few of his own very successful businesses over the years and he’s always trying to instill this business mindset in me. He has all these books you mentioned and more and suggests me to read them. I’m veryyyyy stubborn when it comes to him talking business because he spends all day everyday dedicated to work and I don’t want to become that way, but I know I should be more open minded. He has a lot of good information I should take advantage of. Thank you !!!
You’re dad sounds super hardworking! If your in the situation where you can learn about running a business & financially supported to eventually start one you should take advantage of it. Your still young so you don’t have to start it now but after college (if you decide to go) or during college you can study something like economics or business.

Profit margin, minus shipping, taxes. Also start up cash. It takes $ to make $. When filling taxes- business expenses cameras lighting web cost, travel..etc..are business expenses. And if your smart reinvest the $ in your business. It's much more detailed to not have to pay taxes at the end of the year. Starting as a Sole Proprietor has it's benefits, if you work from home and have a designated office, that and electric, internet and other are partially deductible. I am a home owner so I can make these deductions for business. You will work longer and harder, but the reward is your own it. It is not all Win, win. Some times you don't sell out. But if you don't take the risk you can't win. This is not for everyone. Are you mentally strong enough when the $ is not there. Just keep it real.

I truly agree with this, I hate how ppl are on here making statements that are more negative when ppl are trying to get an idea of how to start out in the first place. It’s very well put it even helped me out myself and I am also familiar with the sites mentioned. I recommend starting with cheaper services in the beginning just to keep a decent eye on business

I think one of the hardest things is having followers on Instagram in the beginning :/
Follow as many different people as you can, especially those who may be interested in things you're selling. And use a lot of hashtags that are relevant to what your selling. I did this, and that's how I got most of my followers so far.

If you want to start your own clothing line, you could start with selling items through platforms like Gearbubble. All you’d have to do is provide the designs. You could do them yourself or hire someone from a site like Fiverr or Upwork to create them.
