@jrk987 You failed to see my point. Learning parkour isn't about being able to run away. It builds mental properties as well as physical giving you confidence. However sometimes it's better to run. Also, it is possible to disarm a firearm from someone if you have the proper techniques and training. I do parkour to I enter my own world of possibility and block out the rest of the world. I don't need someone else to tell me why I do it.
um...that's not a baby giant...at least not in gymnastics (I assume the terminology is the same). That's just a giant with bent legs and closed shoulders - we call them hollowovers. A baby giant does basically the same thing but you bring your hips back to the bar to that cast position (front support)
@blackday97 To do a muscle up you just need some muscles and a good technique. The swing technique is the easiest one because you are not using so much strenght to do it.
whats the difficulty of this trick? I can do all the basic flips but cant really do bar tricks other than a cast, bar to bar or bar to cat so would I be able to do this?

That is a regular giant! It’s just with bent legs but also I recommend not bending your legs cause if you don’t make it around very good it could peel you off the bar. (Learned from an experienced level 8 gymnast) so yea don’t do that
Nick-HQ A giant is when you swing around the bar full extended, arms straight and just keep swinging around the bar. A baby gain is usually carried out from top support, cast to fully extended swing so you get as much momentum and power as possible and instead of swinging all the way around, on the way up, you close your shoulder angle, bring your hips up to the bar, spin around the bar (with the bar at your hips) and end up in front support again. The tutorial here is just a giant with very bad form. When practicing Giants, it is usually done on a steel bar with gloves and loops to aid the hands spinning around the bar.
He forgot that without grips and extremely strong grip muscles, this is both really difficult and pretty dangerous. I can longswing on highbar all day but I wouldn't dream of trying this O.o

Every instructor will tell you to learn how to fight so you don't have to. Also there are a lot of cases where people are chased and beat/raped/murdered which could have been prevented if the victims had knowledge and conditioning of pk to escape. Doing a flashy flip at a guy with a knife is just going to result in your death.
