    I just came across your channel. I’m from southeast Wisconsin. Great content! We’ve been to Colorado and Wyoming a couple times but looking for a trip like this that is closer. Where do I get a map to check out? Keep he videos coming!

    You do a great job of video and explanation. I hope this channel grows, more families need to see content like this vs all the negative social media and news in the world. I admire you going into caves with the little ones, gutsy, love it.

    Did you add turn signals or just use hand signals to your polaris. If just hand did you wish you had put on turn signals? Awesome videos. We head out this July, staying at nemo guest ranch.

      Glad you are enjoying the videos! That Nemo area has some great riding, you guys will have a blast.
      We installed an XTC turn signal / horn kit on our machine. It is definitely nice to have, I think it improves safety on the roads because people are used to seeing signals. We had a close call right after we got our General with a driver who tried to pass us when we were signaling a left turn - young driver and I think he got confused or maybe they don’t teach hand signals anymore in drivers ed?
      The install of the XTC kit was super easy too - just connects to the existing wiring harness and then you have to drill two little holes for the front signals. Anyways, we like having the signals.

    Another great trip video and more tips on adventure. If your idea of camping is motel 6 like mine, could I do a simular trip in the Black Hills.

      You absolutely could. The Black Hills are really only 125 miles north to south. With a little preplanning, there are lots of cabins, motels or lodges you could stay at.

      Awesome! Next spring we really want to ride the Trans WI Adventure Trail up to Lake Superior camping as we go. We gotta remember to take more drone shots. They always look so cool but I always forget.

    How wide is your General?

    • @TheNorthwoodsFamily
      @TheNorthwoodsFamily  7 місяців тому +1

      62”. XP models are 64” because of their flared rear fenders.

      Should be a great time to ride out there. July and August can get pretty dry and hot.

    Looks like a heavy unit, are you going to do any suspension mods in the future?

    • @TheNorthwoodsFamily
      @TheNorthwoodsFamily  3 роки тому

      The thought crossed my mind but we were actually impressed how well it handled loaded. It’s 1850 lbs dry. I bet we were 2400-2500 loaded. We really only bottomed out when we had the suspension set soft as it goes and we went over a good sized dip. We stiffened it up and it rode pretty good. Probably gonna see how it holds up. If we go on enough trips it’ll probably need suspension work down the road anyways.

      @@TheNorthwoodsFamily was clearance much of an issue? Looks like it's pretty close to the ground, expecially when you crossed over the log.

    what tent and camp table is that?

    • @TheNorthwoodsFamily
      @TheNorthwoodsFamily  3 роки тому +1

      Core 9 person “instant cabin” tent and an REI camp roll table. It’s a little over 2’x2’ top when setup. We like both of them a lot!
