All's good. We have moved away from the beginner stage of using Solars and now use only Artisan style roasters such as The BC, Arizona and Sedona models

+David Calver yes- the solar is basically a big BEHMOR. Very little control in roasting. When I first started selling these I know little about Artisan Roasting. Once I started using machines that have complete control heat, airflow, drum speed and more not to mention stainless steel cooling trays so you can drop roast and begin next roast so as to cool in cooling tray not in drum. For the price you can get an awesome 7-8 lb. artisan roaster with built in computer data logging-

Hi i'm in contact with manufacturers over in China but worried about reliability and parts - any good news on that front? Your videos have been very useful - thanks for those.

+David Calver if you buy from China without a business partner over there you might as well throw your money in the trash. You will get something but even if it works it will not be modified for the USA- you are best to buy from either Mill City or Buckeye Arizona Roasting company. Otherwise plan on buying 2-3 machines to have parts to get one working. The USA distributors above stock machines made for America and stock parts. Both will take good care of you. China and Alibaba look temping but even if you get a working machine by the time you pay shipping, bonds and customs you will end up paying about the same as the distributors sell for and still have to wait months for any parts you might need plus $100's in shipping costs per part- not to mention learning Chinese to fix machines- BUY USA
