Hey Paul & Wenda, what a great episode! We loved seeing the tour around Birdsville. Thanks for showing us so much, and for all the info you provided! The Big Red climb and the sunset were impressive. We didn’t realise that you were pool sharks 😁 Looking forward to next week’s episode. Take care, Corrie & Lyn ❤
@@lynbond5126 thanks Corrie and Lyn yeah Wenda has been hustling me for years 😉 We loved getting up on Big Red and then to sit up there on the ridge was amazing 👌 Cheers Paul and Wenda
Another great episode, thanks for letting us share the journey. It was so lovely to meet you both this week at the pizza van, thank you for talking to us.
Thanks for the great video. We stayed in the caravan park for a week this year and attended the iconic Birdsville races. It was fascinating to see the place fill up to capacity. The pub was standing room only. They do it so well
Birdsville has to be one of my favourite Outback towns in Queensland. How lucky were you to get to see a sunset and have Big Red to yourselves? This is a fantastic video. I can't wait to see the next episode.
Hi Paul love your videos we are about to get our new van 226R Retreat all electric, and about to start the big adventure. We have both retired and planning the trip now your Birdsville stuff is just what we needed to get us going. starting at the Flinders Ranges and up to Birdsville. Keep up the vlog love it hope to meet you on the road that would be awesome safe travels to you and Wenda XX
@@AUSklaatu59 thank you 😊 yes that would be great, hopefully we cross paths on our travels 👍. That is very exciting news about your van. The Flinders Ranges is supposed to be fantastic. We are hoping to explore them next year Cheers Paul and Wenda
Great to watch, especially your trip to Big Red. Love watching your episodes. Usually watch on the TV but decided to subscribe so we could let you know how much we enjoy following your travels and the tips you give. Jan & Rob.
We always enjoy your videos. Especially the remote places in Australia. Places where time has stood still, you show those places. Wonderful. Greetings from cold and wet Netherlands. I hope to go to Australia for the 9th time next year. Goal is SA.
my wife and I really love that area in and around Birdsville, it is really busy in peak times, we have been there for the BRB a couple of times, but I really enjoyed the first time we went, in late September early October. We got to enjoy the last day of the season for the Bakery, which was a nice evening, it has changed owner ship since then.
Re the courthouse. When we were out there a few years back we read that it still operates one day a year- the day after the races! Our niece was one of the police who attended during that time of the year. Accidentally drove up the top of little red on full pressures, thinking the road continued over and did a u-turn in our MU-X at the top and drove back down. We kayaked in the ponds around the town just because we can say we did. We also went through Betoota on our way out but at that time it had not been reopened (gazetted town with zero population) so cannot wait to see that on your next episode.
Love your work really makes me want to get on the road .I don’t really like big crowds so this time of year would suit me ,australia has its fair share of flies doesn’t it.
@@robertjennings9584 thank you 😊 we love going to some of these hot spots in the off season and having them to ourselves 😉. Oh and the flies omg they are thick as 😱 Cheers Paul and Wenda
