Question, so I am very scared of roller coasters and I have only rode one should I try the legend also do you have any tips to help with my fear. (I just noticed how random this was lol)
@@PickleLynnyo I can help ride a very tall and fast and intense roller coaster first like the voyage or any intense roller coaster then ride tamer coasters until you can work your way back to the intense coasters that is how I did it
@@PickleLynn yeah like the most intense coaster at the park you go to first so you have a feel for the scariest and then go to the tamest coaster an just go up and ride more intense coasters sometimes you have to ride some more than once until your ready to try the most intense one again it worked for me
Rode this first time just about a month ago and it instantly became one of my favorite coasters. It’s fast, long, smooth, and the double helix is possibly the greatest moment of laterals of all time!

I may be the odd one out, but just returning from holiwood nights and holiday world for the first time, I actually liked the legend the most. It's not as rough as either raven or voyage, and the laterals are awesome! Plus some great pops of airtime and interaction with the water rides. The voyage was too rough in valleys, because it's too fast for its own good. It's certainly a good ride, but legends roughness is more manageable because of the speed. And raven is just trying to break your neck at the end. Great airtime moments but those laterals at the end aren't laterals so much as they are hospital visits.
This ride's helix has some of the craziest laterals I've ever felt on any coaster! It also has some great headchopers going through the waterslides. The park just announced that they're closing The Legend early this year to get started on some extensive track work to it. They did the same to The Raven last year and The Voyage the year before. I love their commitment to taking care of their woodies.
They have an amazing maintenance team there that really takes care of their wooden coasters. They did a good amount of work to The Raven last year and now it's this coaster's turn! They said on Facebook they would be replacing the top two layers of wood on most of the track and probably doing some support work here and there where needed.

I was surprised because they did a major retrack to it in 2016, and I too have a high tolerance for rougher wooden coasters. Maybe I rode it on a bad day but still, I think this coaster is due for some track work if it's still riding like it was then. They've done a lot of work to the other two woodies the past two years so it's this bad boy's turn!
@@mhtube01 they could hire GCI or RMC to bank some of the turns, but that defeats the whole purpose of preserving the CCI layout. CCI laterals and turnarounds are famously unbanked.

Man, last time I road this it was not as pleasant as I remember. Rough ride, could’ve been who my passenger was he was a cornbread fed guy that just about popped ya like a pimple on the turns
If you want to have your brain rattled and body violently thrown side to side then I recommend this ride for you 🤦🏽♀️ Extremely rough ride and not for people over 35 years old 😳
This ride is so incredibly underappreciated. It truly is one of the best wooden coasters on earth. Holiday World is legedary.

The fact that the Raven and the Voyage are both even better than this shows how awesome the three wooden coasters of Holiday World are!

Wow! Fantastic use of the terrain and surrounding vegetation. It must be incredible at night. Need to ride this.
You know its a good ride, when you can feel the Airtime through the screen.
