You guys know the color wasn't an easy decision for me - but now that it's up, I'm obsessed with it. Thank you Mom!!!! Yes the trim just made everything pop. At first I was like, I don't know I kind of like it all blue - but after a few minutes staring at it I realized it would look too flat. Now with it all trimmed out - it makes it even more beautiful!
Jessica! What an amazing share. I am so happy for you, at the beginning of the paint application, I said oh they chose blue, then the lighting changed and then I thought oh no it's the green. I went back and forth. After calming down, I told myself just wait it out, it's definitely one or the other!!😅😂 It looks really beautiful!

Thank you!!!!! I just love those planters, and so glad you do too. I wasn't sure how it was going to come across on screen, but in person it really looks soooo good. I can't wait for you guys to see the final reveal. I bought several things online yesterday that I think will make the front porch pop for sure. I also am trying to convince Mark on an idea I have with some stones for the landscaping. Currently, he's giving me the side eye - but I'll keeping working on that. lol!!!

Yay!!! I'm so glad that you love it. Doesn't it look like a brand new house? It just feels fresher, more up to date, and I honestly can't stop looking at it. And the thing that I love the most is that Mark LOVES it. He doesn't get too excited about things like this, but he really loves it - so that makes me happy. We have zero regrets and that feels good!
Looking good! I like the basket looking pots a lot, but you may have to add a bit of dark stain to them to add some more depth/texture. Could just be my tv but they were reading all one color.

I love that this is all happening in real time. I almost went live yesterday as they were working on the trim, but decided I would just wait til next Sunday. It's really looking so good - and I went ahead and placed some online orders, so yea....the reveal is going to be great!!

Thank you!!!! Huge difference, right??!! It's unbelievable how a fresh coat of paint really has transformed this space. And yay about the basket planter. It doesn't show that well on camera so I wasn't sure what you guys were going to think - but in person it definitely gives the vibe of that Pinterest picture, and I love that! The Pottery Barn looking ones are great too - but felt just a little more modern than I think the house could've handled. Stay tuned!!!

So exciting!! I want to paint our house but we have an HOA so although it can be done, it would be a process. We’ve been here for almost 12 years so I’ll have to really think about it. And ma’am, can I just say your skin in full sunlight is 🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼!
Hahaha awww thank you!!! There was one point when I was filming and in the shade and I said "why do I look so grey" and then I stepped into the sunlight and I was like "therrrrre you go" - and I refilmed the clip. So thank you for noticing, lol!!! Luckily our HOA is pretty lax. They said as long as we didn't paint it "anything crazy" they were fine with it. It's amazing how a fresh coat of paint can really transform your home! Good luck with you HOA once you decide to move forward - hopefully as long as you don't paint it in rainbow stripes, they will be ok with it.

I'm so glad you discovered it too!!! We went back and forth so many times, but in the end the blue won because it just felt right. Now seeing it on the house - it just feels so good that I have zero regrets. Making the trek out to Queens (I actually lived in Astoria for a couple of years!!!) so that you can go to At Home is worth it. It's overwhelming for sure - but I always find some great items every time I go. They have the best holiday decor too!!!! But if you don't feel like making the trip - I do believe you can buy most everything online!

Oh wow! That looks so much better, its gorgeous. You have a beautiful property. One thing Ive always wondered, Why do some people have their chimney covered in siding? Personally, I could never do that. I would just have the brick painted and leave the siding off. However, its your home and it is Simply Beautiful 😊❤
Thank you!!! I'm so glad that you like it - and I agree, it looks sooo much better! Trust and believe if I would have built this house, I would have absolutely left the brick alone. I l also love the look of stone, and that would pretty on the chimney too. On one side of the chimney you can actually see how the siding warped at some point. We would love to get that replaced - or maybe even taken down completely BUT that's a different project for a different day, lol!!!!!

I ACTUALLY THOUGHT I WOULD LIKE THE GREENISH COLOR BETTER! But this is beautiful too! I have never painted a wall! LOL so you know I ain't trying a house! Really looks fantabulous Jessica. And I'm a burger person too and I'd fight for that burger too...I think I saw avocado too! Sooooo...Have you put pottery on the back eye for a while or will you maybe pick it back up in the fall? At any rate...Anyway both you and Mark did a beautiful job on the house!
For anyone considering this- Vinyl siding can be painted. There has been some concern in the past about color choice in that darker colors absorb light and could potentially lead to the vinyl warping as it heats-up in the sun. The paint we used is from Sherwin-Williams and is a type of paint they call 'Vinyl Safe colors' and is purported to hold-up well in the sun and heat. I could envision getting 10 or more years of life from this house painting. Jessica links to the Sherwin-Williams vinyl colors above, in the Description (the text right below the video).
