I've said thos again and im gonna say it one more time, it's t*mothys fault. Since 2017 every good opportunity was taken away from Melanie. K-12 the album and the film + the EP would have been a massive MASSIVE things in nowadays. Her career went down after t*mothys lies. Melanie could have won grammies by now and so so many awards. Yes i know, a golden trophy cannot compare with her talent neither with her art, she is more than just a trophy, but her music + the message and the hard work deserves attention, no one has ever done it like Melanie ever, lets be real. Its not fucking fair for Melanie its not for god sake 💔

While the bullshit allegations did take a hit on her public image, I wouldn't say they had long lasting effects? Most people I talk to have no idea that ever happened. Plus the people who were still following her during it got the whole story and all was forgiven. Like her k-12 album and arguably the After School EP were still quite popular. People clearly still listen to her. The problem lies with her shitty record label. They're notorious for dragging their artist through the wringer then dropping them. Melanie could honestly do soooo much better then them I have no idea why she stays. And as for why she never got an award I'm going with the genre as my guess. Go too far off the beaten path and the big wigs don't care :/
