I played the drums on this album. It was a blast recording with Kryptos. I’ve known the guys for over a decade and filled in as a hired drummer for them at a few shows and I can vouch for the fact that they don’t hate drummers. As far as I know they just don’t have a permanent replacement for their previous drummer Anto. Cheers!

I’d say about 80% of the parts were what I envisioned the drums on a Kryptos album should be. The rest of it were specific parts that Nolan wanted.
If I had it my way there’d be a lot more double bass everywhere 😁
The whole album was rehearsed and recorded in just under two weeks. They’d sent me the guitar only demos a couple of months in advance so I had enough time to come up with the drum parts.
As far as the mix goes, it’s not what I was hired to do. All I can say is that there are no triggers or hit replacements or any of that. It’s all real live drums.

I was relieved when I clicked on this, and it wasn't another modern metalcore or Euro power metal band.
Same, it sucks that core metal is the most popular right now. A lot of upcoming death/thrash metal bands are selling out and making core music just to get recognized, so its only gonna get worse. We need another musical revolution!

I don't blame the bands as much after hearing why some of them say they have to do it. I heard some bands (like Living Sacrifice) explain that once metalcore starts to dominate their local club scene, they can no longer get gigs as a regular / death / thrash metal band. So in order to survive....
@@mr.d.572 yeah i understand that part, its just a bummer considering that will just happen more and more. Especially considering club owners used to take chances all the time in the 70s 80s and even 90s, now its all just so programmed and everyone just wants to get the biggest bang for their buck.

What a great band! I never heard of them before but they are awesome. It's always awesome to see heavy metals playing traditional heavy metal in the nwobhm/thrash style, so many newer young bands play the same hardcore, or death/black metal crap it's good to see some young bands playing some great old school shit.
@Padma Vajra Wikipedia is saying there first album was 2004 so they are not quite 20 years old yet. I think of most bands that came out in the 2000s as younger bands even though though that is almost 20 years ago now.

The most promising band in the world. Though they ve got several LPs already.And they re getting better and better.l m 61 and l became a r n r fan when l first heard Razamanaz when l was 15 in the USSR. Since then l ve been a crazy fan of this crazy kind of music.l ve been to India many times but never expected Indian's to be so kicking ass rockers.

the first time i heard these guys was in Delhi (GIR) wayyyy back in 2004-2007.. dont remember the exact year... they were the only decent hmmmmmm only the good band that night. During the show, me and brother were like 'its ok for a weekend getaway' but when Kryptos shows up, they took the show to another level.
