    PV is very expensive now( for Mexico). I’ve heard it is the most expensive in Mexico. But there is a reason for that-it’s a truly awesome place, that everyone wants to be in. I’ve lived there for 17 years. Best years of my life. Love it.

    Yes, I think it’s a great idea to get out of the heat in Puerto Vallarta. Totally get that is where your heart is.❤ MÉXICO is such a large country. I’m glad you’re out exploring and can’t wait to see where you go next.

    How is transportation between PV & GDL? Like you, I think 7 months of hot & humid summer weather is too much so I'm thinking of living in GDL and going to PV for 2 or 3 months in winter. Does that sound reasonable? Love your informative videos.

    I am also from Vancouver. I bought a beautiful waterfront condo in PV in 2007. $210,000 USD. Put another $50,000 into renovation. I know they are more now- but- a cabin on a lake in BC is $1 million. Not good in the winter. I spend 6 months in Mexico- 6 in Canada. Great weather all year.

    Don't forget the leaf cutter ants.... you need to put a barrier under the raised beds and ant proof covers for the top... and you need to cover at night for sure or there will nothing left the next day! 🤣 🐜😧
    Btw there are a lot of PV refugees here who now live on the lake, that hot humid summer season in PV is as bad as being snowbound in Canada... no one likes to be stuck in the house for months because it's so miserable outside. 😉

  • @traceyb715
    @traceyb715 4 місяці тому

    Btw…they are asking too much for that house. There are many houses with unrealistic prices in VDL. Most have sat for over a year or more.

    • @LarissaSokla
      @LarissaSokla  4 місяці тому

      The asking price is what the owner wants, it doesn’t mean market value. Average days on market for a property in Vallarta is around 196 this year, so yes, the house can sit on the market for up to and over a year.

    Tourist hotspots are definitely NOT good locations to retire in. Mexico is a very large and diverse nation with many options for climate, infrastructure, cost of living, and of course most importantly, the PEOPLE. Mexican people are Awesome, hard working, family oriented, freedom loving, good people.
    Find a local town/city and enjoy a much more authentic Mexican lifestyle.
