Kevin Doyle brought so much heart to the role of Mr. MoIesley I hope that he and Ms. Baxter get together in the film and find some happiness.
In the latest fi.m he proposes to Miss Baxter and is accepted
They do get together and he proposed ❤🥰🥲 so exciting 🎉
This scene when he talks to students was brilliant. He was honest, fair and was not behaving like the children are stupid idiots, but somebody who may not have a knowledge but that doesn't mean they are not intelligent
Moseley brings the comic relief so needed. Absolutely love his character. Kevin portrays him with excellence.
Molesley is iconic!! He’s so innocent and sweet, and Baxter really suits him, and im so glad they got together in the new movie :)
The acting in Downton Abbey is superb. It's like they're not acting.
It’s 2 moments that truly endeared me to Moseley…. When Matthew died and he confessed to Anna that he was at his wit’s end. I almost instantly burst into tears! The moment when he found out he passed the test and the teacher asked him to teach with him at the school is such a magnificent moment also. Again, almost instant tears. He is one of the more humble characters of the series. He is also, to me, the most awkward.
And OMG his last scene in A New Era. I was holding my breath.
@@tangenty6987 I haven't cheered at a movie in a long time, but I stood up & did so for him
& then bawled like a baby the last 5 minutes, but I do that all the time
Mr, Molesley is one of those innocent people that look like a child, so pure they have no falls no evil in them.
The peaks and valleys with Moseley have been my favorite laughs and heart tugs. He and Anna are my favorites. Great stories with him and Baxter.
The bit where he was working on the road crew hit home for me. I had an English teacher who was layed off and pumping gas for a living the following year.
02:14 Is my favourite Moseley moment😍 the little smile that blooms on his face as Mathew praises him for doing a good job in getting rid of the stain off his sleeves😍
It is one of my favorite Matthew moments. He realized Moseley considered this as his job and Mosely took pride in what he did.
I think Molesley has a pure heart and genuinely love his job. He never hold any anger nor revenge whenever something bad happens in his life especially when he was forced to mend the road because of Mr Carson wanted to teach him a lesson.
I love Molesley !! He brought such kindness and was so funny.
They forgot my most favourite Molesley moment of all! In the movie, when he speaks out of turn with the King and Queen dining, that was absolutely hilarious!
It was the "curtsey" afterwards that was most hilarious!
@@deborahpinkey1264 ah i forgot to mention that part, the look on the Dowager’s face was priceless
@@mikeconnolly6845 I was glad everyone was so understanding, particularly, the Queen. Had she not said what she said, Molesley might very well have been in big trouble! LOL
@@deborahpinkey1264 particularly with Carson, i would say Carson would have nearly beheaded him!
@Mike Connolly For sure! 🤣🤣 Carson was definitely a stickler for proper protocol.
Moseley is for sure my most favorite character, the most honest of all and I’m glad he got into teaching.
Kevin Doyle has a way with poignant moments. I saw him in a murder mystery and he was amazing as the lovelorn magician. But his squeaks when he gets caught in a moment, think being asked to take on more classes or being recognized by the queen at dinner, are endearing.
Molesley is and has always been a brilliant teacher!
I absolutely love everything about Downton Abbey. I love the cast and setting and most of all the time period with its array of neutral tones and warmth. Dear Mr. Mosely is a character that exists in all of us…in him, triumph, a desire to learn, love, share, and mentor generations to come, making sure that our human vessels are emptied onto young minds. Young minds eager to pick up the baton and do greater things from all the resources bestowed upon them from so many….this is why NO ONE IS SELF MADE
At first he was just on for a bit to play Matthew's valet. Fellowes said that he'd seen Kevin Doyle mainly playing losers or creeps, and then saw that he could do comedy, and that was that.
we just all love the character of Molesley
I feel Julian Fellowes did such a fantastic job of writing these characters, I believe there could be ‘spin offs’ of each character and love it for the 90 mins. It would be.
Mr. Moseley and The Dowager are my absolute favorites and I miss them.
'See how my grip is firm but tender... Cherish the ball, don't crush it' 😂😳
I hope in the upcoming film Mosely and Baxter are married or at least formally courting! I Need it. Love Moseley a lot, would like to see him properly happy.
Thanks for the upload. Mr. Mosley is one of my favorite characters on Downton Abbey. His development throughout the season is a different sort of Rags to Riches story. He begins his story as the Butler/valet to the reluctant Crawley family. Matthew and Mrs. Crawley lived a life with very minimal staff and were used to doing things their own way. When Matthew died, Mr. Mosely lost his job and security. As such he worked repairing roads and laying gravel. Fate stepped in and he returned to Downton as a footman. A demotion, because he is a trained butler and valet. By helping Daisy with her studies, he caught the eye of the local school Headmaster and gained employ as a teacher in the village. He was credited as knowing more than most graduates from Oxford. (Which I can actually believe to an extent.) Mosley is always kind, friendly and supportive. He stepped up when he saw Barrow bullying Baxter. He stepped up to find a witness in York, that would clear Mr. Bates' name when Mr. Green died. Of course we'll never, ever forget (and bust a gut laughing 🤣🤣🤣) when he did a curtsey before the King and Queen.
That’s a much better summary of the kind Mr. Mosley than the video! I wish they also included how Daisy raved about Mr. Mosely’s talent in teaching after that last scene in the video. It was sweet and a rare recognition for him,
@@AlisVolatPropiis I agree. Daisy's praise of Mr Mosley was just the confidence boost he needed. Of course the attentiveness of the students was most welcomed, but it never hurts to hear it coming from friends/family. What I really appreciate is the budding friendship between Mosley and Baxter.
@@m.layfette6249 totally! Love the friendship between them, they’re supportive to each other, come to the other’s defense, and ultimately, how can you not root for these two who have been down on their luck and yet have plenty of kindness to show others?
have you seen the movie? you need to update your summary 👍🏻
Just the comic relief Downton Abbey needed!!!
Mr. MoIesley was/is my favorite character on Downton abbey and I really wish he would have gotten a lot more happiness in the end than he did, because he really was/is such a kind, sweet, good, intelligent and decent man.I had really hoped that he and Miss Baxter had become a pair in the end of the series.I can totally understand why Molesley was completely blown away by Miss Baxter, because she is incredibly beautiful, sweet and also very very hot and I think that she was actually the most attractive woman on Downton, she even made Mary look plain actually.
Well, your wish . . . but with comedy; it's always comedy with Moseley.
My favourite moment, acting-wise, is when he makes us (at least me) feel how much he is hurt by Baxter's secret.
He was such an awesome character
Love Mosley!!!!
I love Molesley, I especially felt sorry for him when Matthew Died , and he had to get jobs that he knew weren’t right for him
I hated how Carson treated him . And how Spratt ruined his chances with the other lady .
❤ Mr Molesley. ❤️
What a fabulous, believable character!
Thank you Kevin Doyle! ❤
And thank you for uploading this video!
The dancing is hilarious
I like these short videos of the individual characters.
They gift Ed much insight into they're uniqueness.
Thank you.
I love this show and would really like some do video essays/breakdowns on certain episodes and themes. Is there a suggested way I can obtain/use show footage for this purpose?
Mr. Molesly is one of my fav. charachers! I hope both he and Miss Patmore find love in the upcoming film. Would love to see him and Miss Baxter marry...and for someone to sweet Miss Patmore off her feet! Bring them both full circle.
I think Mrs. Patmore and Daisey's father-in-law (edit: Mr. Mason) have eyes for each other. Of course, Daisey is against it, even though Mrs. Patmore has been like a mother to her and her FIL has been better to her than her own father ever was.
@@deborahpinkey1264 I agree. I could definitely see a spark between them. Now that Daisy has Andrew...maybe she would let them explore a relationship. At least I hope so.
@@1CathyHendrix Me, too.
Loved him so much, and was equally furious at Spratt for sabotaging him during that luncheon.
I love that line "D'you mean the King was a liar" - duh!!!
Matthew didn't seem to understand the role of a butler/valet. Kevin Doyle played Moseley's disappointment perfectly.
Matthew was quite right. It is a silly ocupation. Humans, even rich one, should be able to manage dressing themselves come on now. i do love Matthew's kindness that he allows Moseley to do his job in the end despite his beliefs of how stupid the job itself was. Not because he needs help getting dressed but because he wants to make Moseley happy. The job in itself should never have been a thing though. The only people who should get help getting dressed are those who literaly can not or struggle greatly to do it themselves due to illness or age or injury.
Love Mr. Molesly!!😘
Who doesn't love Moseley??? ❤️ Easily one of the best characters on Downtown 👍👍👍
My fave character 💖
On another video someone asked people to comment who was their favorite character and oddly I can hardly identify ONE that I like above all the rest. In fact I am finding it difficult to pick out any of the regulars who I don't think of as a favorite. They're all so special to me in their own ways. I mean I do think the dowager countess perhaps is my favorite favorite but I can't even eliminate Molesley from the list of possible "favorites".
Moseley was one the best characters on Downtown Abbey. He was clever and smart man who was under appreciated. He helped Bates innocent as well as the maid in waiting for Lady Grantham
Such a sweet character!
7:20 Toffs aren't necessarily clever. Look at Robert, a farmer who knows nothing about farming and made some very bad investment decisions.
Molesley, Gwen and Rose are my favorite characters.
I'm gonna tell my husband I wanna get my hair treated with a special substance and see what he says. 😂😂😂
Moseley finds he's a brilliant teacher ... remember that even cinema's greatest teacher, Mister Chips, had a bad first day.
That poor little thatch/hair island. He's giving my former Canadian colonel Russell Williams' vibes😂🤣😂
🥰🥰🥰🥰
I love this video downtown Abbey
I loved the curtsey.
I love his character. 👋
Molesley is such a cutie pie
Molesley est vraiment le plus gentil des domestiques...
Adoro essa série mais bem poderia ser em português..ajuda aí..
Carson pulls out a straight razor: Tend to your hair Mr Mosely or *I* shall.
0:31 Why does Lord Grantham think that Irish blood could explain the Latin look?
My mum said a lot of the Spanish sailors from the Amanda were saved by landing in Ireland. That Accounts for her dark hair and her easy ability to catch the sun.
@@maureenkennedy9492 The Black Irish. Many historians think their numbers are greatly exaggerated. But that’s still Spanish blood, at any rate.
He has no clue how the other 98% live?
From DA to the Gilded Age, these poor servants have no privacy. Ugh
☺️ 💜
*Those who are reading this comment may yours parents live 100 years* ❤️
I don't remember Molesley become a teacher or not by the end of the series but I'm wondering why not leaving service...
He did give Carson his notice in the last episode when he became a teacher but said he d come and help out during holidays and big parties . Carson then only had Andy ( and only part time since he helps Mr Mason at his farm ) so it was nice of Molesley to offer
It was so sad when Mathew told Molsley he had a silly occupation for a grown man.
Always liked Moseley and wished that he had married to Baxter.
Moseley laaaaaad, what a player
Funny
😂😂😂🥃🥃🥃
。
Matthew's reverse snobbery was so irritating when it came to his interactions with Molesley.
