The bedbug scare in Paris has seemingly gotten on your nerves and it looks like Elton was clean of the infamous infestation! Tourettes Levens is deservedly famous for the blue chairs and the toy version is a perfect souvenir. The food appeared to be delicious and the drone overview of the town showed off its character. You guys will never run out of places to film in the French Riviera. Today’s tour was much appreciated! 😊
Thanks Norman. Safe to say the bed bug scare gets a lot less attention in the French media!
The tabloid news papers in the U.K. have really got excited by this bedbug story. Next Thursday, we all have to stand on the doorstep, banging saucepans in support of Rent a kill
Insecticide !
I always love those Mr. Boo random facts about the places you visit. If you ever run out of villages you can always revisit the ones you've been to, to see if the church or restaurant is then open 😂. Being France, though...
True…
I have to admit, with “Tourettes” in the title, I was hoping for a little more uncontrollable swearing. 😜I did love how well Mr. Boo’s shirt matched the color of the chairs. Thanks for another lovely (vicarious) escape. Happy Elton has escaped the "plague". Since heat is one of the main things that kills them, it could be the silver lining to his high temps.
Ha never thought of that!
Great to hear hanna stone “ Emile “ .love her voice . And new drone music . I think the colours of the buildings in these villages make them so special. Eating out in these villages looks amazing . When are the tourist board going to start paying you , for the wonderful advertising. .? More please .
I wait with bated breath!;
I hope Twiggy got a taste of the bavette.
Another beautiful trip.
She had a sliver!
I was quite eager to hear the rest of the "I knew a plumber's mate once who..." story, shortly after talking about a plumber's tripod. Although I might be able to use my imagination...!
He was a very handy man!
Just watched on of the funnest Ami youtube. On car wow channel "smallest suv in world" These Amis are bringing happiness across Europe.
They do!
The Paris bed bug story is all over the news here in the US, glad Elton was bug free.... loved the little town and the history of the blue chairs of Nice. BTW, blue is certainly a friend of Mr. Boo....It always amazes me how little restaurants there have such great food and so reasonably priced. Another great time, and the drone shots were just perfection!
Yes it seems to be bigger news abroad than here!
This is why I love you tube.
The shot of Twiggy on the blue chair - beyond adorable! Yet one more excellent vlog.
Thanks Peter. She is annoyingly cute;
Incroyable! La Belle France.
That bavette was huge! Really great value. The village was fascinating
Glad you enjoyed it
I think Mr. Boo made the best choice of food today. Very different flavors and nice to just look at the plate.
I always find Mr Boo eats what I would chose if i was fluent in French as he is ! Not the raw stuff I see on your plate!
I can only say Bavette Bleu!
If you want to kill any bugs and odors in your vehicle, use an Ozone Fogger Bomb. Let the AC or Fan circulate on high, close the windows, let the fogger work for 15 minutes. Open the car let it air out for 15 minutes. Use a microfiber to clean the interior and glass however you normally would. Enjoy an odor free and bug free car!
Thanks top tip!
Oh wow Lada Niva. One of the best 4x4 to come out of Russia. Love it
Pretty rare sight now?
@@MeandMonAmiyes very
Wonderful as always! Many thanks 🙏
Thanks
Magic just magic. Truly a lovely place and the meal looked Devine. Again bravo. Bravo. 🚙🚙
Merci!
Another amazing Episode. The scenery was so good as well as the Information. Keep up the Great work. 🚙
Thanks Jamie
Great video can’t wait for the next one 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Thanks Bobby
Another beautiful authentic mountain village called Tourettes Levens. The lunch looked delicious, it made my mouth water. The drone video was also great so all in all a very nice episode!
Thanks Henk
Wonderful, thank you for bringing us along on these virtual trips out-would love to be there for reaĺ ❤
Our pleasure!
Another brilliant episode. The AMI is such a unique vehicle, it has its faults but so enjoyable. As I'm watching another episode it reminds me of recently being shunted in the rear by a Chelsea tractor so I had it in the repair shop. Now it's back and now continuing my visual enjoyment with your most entertaining shows. Sean.
Hope your rear was redeemable
Yes and thanks for replying .All good as new. Ready to go. Was parked in Morrisons Supermarket carpark today and the AMI had acquired many admirers whilst shopping. Just watched another couple of your videos to end the day on a good note. Honestly it cheers me up no end. Thanks again for the opportunity to have a small part of your content having some feedback. Wishing you all the best to you and all. Sean.
Beautiful drone shots, well done, thank you as always for a great video!
Thanks Jorg
the place is so beautiful, typical south of France/mediterranean mountain village with all the glamour and scent, really amazing place and so nice when you show the delicious food, thanks folks ;)
It’s a lovely village.
I loved the story of the blue chairs. I’ll think of that man when I park my bum on one this week when I’m in Nice. Those drone shots were spectacular! Thanks guys !
You are here! How fab!
Brilliant episode
Thanks
Ooo I just love it when Mr Boo talks French. I also love your history lessons Tim! x
Yes he goes very native!
Another great video great to see the sunshine sitting here in -4 northern ireland
Glad you enjoyed it
Friends used to say "your arse in parsley" not a clue what it means :)
That’s a good one too!
I have been to Tourrettes-sur-Loup many times but never to Tourrettes-Levens. It will have to be on my next outing as it looks lovely. Your videos are always a pleasure to watch!
Thanks Chantal. Yes it’s a lovely little place and the walk is nice
Another great video! I am positive if we had lunch together I could successfully order for you- Babette, pan bagnet, fois bras or steak tartar. Love the new music!❤😊
I do occasionally go off piste but…
🐞Acccckkkk....I got a bit worried there reading the caption but was very relieved to hear that Elton is bug free! Your drive to Tourettes was incredible, as usual, as I watched this with my Sunday morning cuppa tea...and promptly found myself spritzing with laughter as you announced the little 'parcel' you drove over as you entered the village! Oh Tim, you have me in stitches! Your Mum sounds like a real character, and my Mum used to tell us kids when we asked after school what was for dinner?...'pigs ears and bums' she'd say, for a joke. We kids never thought it was funny, but she did! lol ...BTW, amazing drone footage and that meal....yum! I laughed when you said that you two could always do CGI villages if you ever run out of places to go....lol...Never! I'm sure you two will continue to find amazing places to visit...cheers!
I often drive over bags of poo it’s very annoying
@@MeandMonAmi How maddening! ....If I haven't said it enough, thank you two for your incredible vlogs...they are a treat for the eyes, a laugh for the heart, an education for the brain, and a joy for the soul...Merci beaucoup! 😘
@@louiselage7740 Thanks so much Louise. It means a lot that you enjoy them so much.
The chips looked that good that could only be improved by being consumed on a Chez lounge by being hand feed by a servant. And maybe a massage to ease the indigestion Another lovely Village ❤
I don’t like massage I’m no good at sitting still
'AI - create a short video in MeandmonAmi style about a French Riviera village cuter than the MeandmonAmi average village'..
10 minutes later, the WWW breaks down...
Another nice trip guys, thanks for sharing and..
stay charged!
It’ll probably come…
phrase is headstop
Terrific episode, thank you. Sorry if this has already been asked but I loved the drone music, would you mind sharing the details?
It’s crystal sunrise
The Nice railroad station looks like it was built by a committee of architects that couldn’t agree on a design. They took a whole bunch of extra building parts and put them all together. It will fit in very well on a Dr. Seuss movie set. Thank you for this beautiful trip! I was surprised to see the Cadillac Ranch. The village architecture and the drone footage are gorgeous! Love from Vermont🍁
The rail station is lovely but the hotel is perhaps ‘jury out’
You do make me laugh. My mum always said " your arse is parsley". Quite a few sayings in our family are not suitable for polite society! Twiggy looks a real sweetie. All the best and keep up with the good work.
Merci mates! The aerial tour of TOURETTE LEVENS was astounding. Perhaps an Aerial montage of Les plus beaux villages perchés de France might garner some interest from new viewers.
Btw, might you have happened to encounter any Neanderthal drivers suffering from Tourette's Syndrome on the way up?
Yes keep meaning to do one
Another good one.
Thanks again!
Its hydropneumatic suspension not air suspension though. The fluid is called LHM.
Thanks
Terrific stream of consciousness rant in this episode, Tim. Possibly my favourite one to date. You were in fine form. Oh, and by the way, here in Canada the loonie is iconic.
Yes I’m not quite sure where that came from!
Thank goodness the food's back, made my Sunday. Did you name-check the good restaurant? Seems only fair since at least they were open and I heard the name of the other one that wouldn't answer the darned phone.
Probably not but it’s the only one in the village as you go in opposite the town hall!
@@MeandMonAmi Fair enough then. Probably worth mentioning the good ones. 8-)
Sh!t, sugar on a shovel, was how they used to say it down south. My dad’s specialty was named Cop-hold-er-this. It was difficult to say what was in it, anything and everything. He wasn’t known for his culinary expertise 😅
Sugar on a shovel now that’s a new one on me!
Very nice little trip as always! They even have a huge Blue Chair monument right on the Promenade in Nice. There is nothing the French would not make into a national monument. 😉
It’s true. They love a grand projet!
My son has booked a ticket on the Channel tunnel rail service over to France for a Paris visit on his Birthday with his girl friend. I have told him to get a couple of cans of insecticide "Just in case". Vigilance is vital!
lol. I think quite a bit more of it is being made in the foreign press than the French press
Hydropneumatic suspension . Nothing to do with air ! As always most enjoyable Sunday viewing.
No air! I was reading isn’t the same system still used on some aircraft?
@MeandMonAmi He was being pedantic, they use nitrogen rather than air. Of course air is 78% nitrogen. Definitely something to do with air.
Air is a dirty corrosive mixture of gasses, nitrogen is pretty unreactive. It's sort of refined air.
@@MeandMonAmi It has nitrogen filled chambers which acts as suspension by compressing the gas. The compressed gas works as both spring and shock absorber.
The gas and hydraulic fluid is separated by a membrane, the hydraulic fluid transfers the force from the wheel to the gas chamber .
The pressure in the system is kept by a hydraulic pump. This also gives it the leveling function .
The hydraulic system also provides the power for the brakes and steering.
That DS was beautiful, a four wheeled space ship compared with what most automotive manufacturers were turning out at the time. If Citroen could make a modern version nowadays, they'd sell like hot cakes despite being very expensive.
Hi lads from Spain. Personally I have never encuntered a bedbug but when I was doing computer auditing I took a team oop North somewhere and one of the team got badly bitten at the place we stayed. My current bugbear is roaches - a place we used to go for breakfast on shopping days had them on the wall next to our table. We now go elsewhere - they've probably got them as well but while they keep out of sight ...
We once had dinner in Thailand at a place with flying roaches, the food was great though
What a pretty village! And I'm kind of falling in love with the Ami.. But can I live with 45 kph... :)
Depends where you are and what you do..
@@MeandMonAmiI know. I live in the Dutch countryside and work mostly from home. So I do need to be able to cover longer distances, but by far the most are quite close to home really. Or otherwise would just take a bit longer.. It it a good solution? Don't know, but it's really fun to see others love them! (Electroheads also bought one, you really are trend setters 😃)
Fab video…but can we have the old drone footage music back ta 👍
It’s only restin!;
@@MeandMonAmi yay 👍💕
That lunch looked lovely. Better than shit with sugar on, which my mam used to say as well! Great video chaps.
I’m amazed how common these strange phrases were!
I don’t think that anyone is doing more than you guys in showing how much fun you can have in a Citroen Ami. How much planning goes into each journey?
Thanks. More these days than we used to do but TBH we still get it wrong in terms of filming time etc/ chargers
So beautifully produced! Amazing you guys! Thank you!
Last thing you want to share is your bed with bloody bugs 😱😱😱😱 hope that guy on the scooter keeps his hair out the damn wheels 😂😂 My mum used to reply sometimes to 'what's for tea mum'🤔with 'shit wi sugar on' too😂😂 those chips 🍟 😄 💖 😋😋😋😋lovely village & another delightful drone footage ..excellent entertainment with quips a plenty stay well & stay charged Mister Me and Mister Boo and Elton and Twiggy 🐶🐕❤
That hair was special! Thanks David!
@@MeandMonAmi ya can say that again Tim 😄
I want to move there just for them chips!!
Indeed. They were epic
Bedbugs will not survive inside Elton as they die in heat. That said Elton could do with a bath as he was looking a little grubby on Saturday evening.
He’s filthy!
Was looking forward to something about bed bugs - or was this just a whimsey ! ? That meal WAS good value... just my style IMO your 90 euro meals way out of my comfort zone
It was satire! Yes very good value. But not as many courses to feature!
I have a small holding according to my last girl friend!
She must like very big gardens
It’s not everyday you get to see a plumbers tripod…
Not in the open air!
Tourrette's Syndrome? OK, only one r in the affliction that causes people to have 'bloody' ticks (sic).
See what you did there !;
Will it be open 😂😂😂😂🎉
The eternal question!
@@MeandMonAmi😂😂😂😂👍👍👍👍💯
Lovely, you havent made a single naff video..but thats not a suggestion.😅
Thanks
School kid humour I know but we can see that village name without saying “F*&k me it’s Tourettes”……
….can’t see….
I don’t approve of school boy humour!;
@@MeandMonAmiNoticed That!
Stay charged!
Merci
I expected to see people shouting rude things there.
I know!
My arse is a partridge?
Yup!
Thanks for trigger warning ⚠️🤮🤮🤮
I knew you’d love it!;
hey guys!..
Why do you torture both yourself and the people in traffic by driving slowly on the roads?
There is a solution!..
Install the "software" written for ami to your car and your speed will increase...
Didn't you hear?
Come on, speed up a little..
But our issue is seldom speed its range!
@@MeandMonAmi If it went faster you would not be licensed to drive it.
But if speed increases range decreases and that's already a problem with the Ami....
@@davidperrott5743 You are so right dude..
But Ami has some interesting benefits due to its "structural feature". (We tried it and got positive results)
When going downhill on non-dangerous slopes (e.g. 5% - 7%), press "N" and release the car.
Ami may not accelerate due to his aerodynamics, but he will maintain his speed and will not waste energy..
With this trial, we exceeded the maximum range of 75KM. (82KM)
When you feel like you're going downhill:
--Speed up Ami (45KM)
-- Press "N" and release the accelerator pedal..
I admit, this car is ugly.... but it is very useful and economical..
There are many inclined roads in the city where I live, and I benefit from the low slopes and long roads.
Also this car is the victory of 48 Volt..
