Great video and just what I was looking for , I'm making my first York pinafore in a denim but I was baffled with the binding (I'm a beginner at clothes) thanks to your video I know how to do it x
So glad I'm able to help! Binding can be a bit tricky but once you master it, it's such a crazy valuable tool!
This was so helpful. I'm making the york pinafore and have never used bias tape before. I found their instructions to be a bit confusing but watching you do it cleared it up for me.

i was a bit anxious your iron might fell over to your keyboard and burn the hole thing.
My iron's pretty heavy, it doesn't fall over without a decent amount of force.
hi Paige, I'm making this pinafore and wondered what size binding you used? On the pattern they recommend half inch binding, but yours looks wider and if that works better, I will do that too
You know I'm not too sure, it's been awhile since I had any of that binding in my stash. It's more than likely wider though!

Hey Ruth! Not sure where you're from but this pattern is a pdf download (anyone can purchase and print it at home) and it works with lots of fabrics.
@@verypaige8263 i live in northern ireland ...its the choice of fabric we dont have ..just 2 fabric shops in 40 miles ....and both closed because of the extreme response to the sars2 chinese virus x
@@ruthirwin8222 Yeah there aren't a ton of options for dressmaking weight near me. Lots of quilting shops. I order most fabric online.
