- The premiere contest in RCT2 is back! New Element's Head2Head contest occurs every 3 years and showcases the best the game has to offer as teams of builders compete with their parks against one another.
We conclude Round 1 of H2HX with an amazing park by the Lonely Hearts Club. Constellations comes from JK, deanosrs, SSSammy, and CHE and features our first use of a new plugin in the contest for a really incredible effect. But there's plenty more to see in this constellation and zodiac themed park so let's jump in and take a look!

always an honour to be reviewed by the mighty Brian! my 15% felt like 80% of a regular park - just goes to show just how much Deanosrs and J K smashed it!!!!! they built so much incredible stuff in such a short amount of time. great experience to build with them, along with CHE!!
You guys really crushed it. I was so impressed with the overall design and than the plugin just elevated it even higher. I still can't figure out how some of the coaster stuff works haha. Great job!
Hey CP6, deano here! Thank you for doing all these videos, such a cool showcase for the contest.
The zodiac wheel is another plugin trick, based on the location of the coaster trains it uses the OpenRCT2 API to alter the chain lift speed of the zodiac wheel rides.
Hey Deano-- thanks very much for the comment. That's such a cool plugin. Really opens up a lot of possibility for similar things to be done like dive coaster water splashes and other synchronized elements. That's far beyond my skillset, but very clever indeed. Great work!
The accelerating wheel is easily one of the most incredible tricks I've seen done in the game.
I'd agree! It was done so smoothly and feels very natural. I appreciate hacks and plugins like this where it just feels like it should have been something doable all along. Very clean.

I hope Chris Sawyer sees what kind incredible things like this park are made with his game after more than 20 years.
He never acknowledged OpenRCT and doesn't support it. So I'm not sure...
A few folks in our community have corresponded with him so I'm sure he's aware. It is pretty crazy to see how far the game has been taken.
