Skipz began development of the update shortly after the release of Version 1.11.10 on July 22, 2024. Ten days later, he announced the development of "something huge" coming to the game.
On August 13, 2024, he confirmed that development was still in progress and shared a video of himself working on terrain near the Skarloey Slate Quarry.
A trailer was released on September 4, 2024 at 5pm EST, confirming the additions of Mighty Mac, Frank, the Culdee Fell Railway, and the Mainland expansion. The update was released the next day.

Hope they must add London and the rest of the Mainland, including Scotland, Wales and Ireland, as well as the Isle of Man.
