    I thought this was really good. The only problem i noticed was the scene where she is interviewing the victim's sister. There didnt seem to be anything in the dialogue that causes her to become offended, yet she does so fairly quickly, and then proclaims it was a clickbait piece. If that's how she felt, why did she agree to the interview? Other than that, this is definitely one of the better short films ive seen on youtube. I personally liked how you ended it.

      It's a short so some of these movies you have to fill in the blanks. Think of it as a little background teaser to the finale.

    • @coryanntopanga
      @coryanntopanga 6 років тому +13

      RAW is WAR In my opinion, I think she became defensive and began to project her probable guilt over not getting on with her sister. There was still a bit of animosity and resentment in the way she suggested that her sister was more than likely seeing married men. That's probably why the deceased sister didn't tell her much. She would've been judged harshly by her. Now that she's dead however, the sister was probably feeling some guilt over their tumultuous relationship and also over the fact that even after her death, she still feels resentful over the way she had been leading her life. She took it all out on that poor reporter.

    AWWWW. poor girl. I HATE CHEATERS. it's all she is thinking about and here it was just a one night stand for him, while he cheated and for her she must have been in heaven and thought how amazing he was and now knowing he's taken and she can't have him is driving her even more crazy, i know the feeling one night i was in heaven and then the next day hoping the text i got was going to be a let's meet up it was a hey i'm really sorry i can't do this but i had lots of fun, but if i wasn't in a relationship i would love to hang out, i just can't do this to my partner i'm sorry, this is so crazy so it was ok to hurt my heart and take it out and stomp on it but then you have the nerve to pick it up and throw it back in my chest and tell me we're still friends but then act like i don't exist? how is that a friend? after replaying the night over and over in my head i'm left feeling so empty inside while they're posting pics of picnics, and happiness love, and kisses, and then this post was awesome "it's so easy to be faithful when the person your with is perfect." yeah right like FUCK YOU. i hate people sometimes. so i know exactly how this girl is feeling, thinking it was the BEST day she's had in forever and was starting to think about how this isn't real it's way to good to be real, it's like she's not lonely anymore and she was smiling and happy to now being so miserable and lonely, used, and feel like the pain is so harsh like how can a person do that to another person, its so harsh, and then to say i'm sorry but i can't do this to my partner? like seriously but you already did. so you have NO PROBLEM hurting me, and using me, and making me so amazing only to take it all away and act like you don't even know who i am? that's unfair.

    Great tension and the construct of discovering the connection with the necklace worked well. In hindsight getting the phone call from "mike" was maybe a little over the top as the record of the call and accident would be known. I don't think Mike would have been that foolish, maybe a flash of his face just as he's running her over would work. Love the production, I could taste the drive and commitment of the lead actress, in character, as she works agonizingly over the story really came through! Music score gets big points too. Glad I found it.

    PLEASE DO NOT READ UNTIL AFTER SEEING THE FILM SINCE THIS CONTAINS SPOILERS:
    I think the actress did a great job...I saw the plot coming but it was still a good film....The only thing I would complain about is why would anyone with common sense answer the phone in the middle of the street????? That makes no sense especially if we are to believe that she is smart enough to put 2 and 2 together yet answers the phone in the middle of the street???? Plus the way he had been brushing her off why answer his call at all???? The dude was a scum bag for leading women on and cheating but his wife is the dumb ass that chooses to tolerate it by staying....So he's worth risking possibly going to jail for murder even though he can't keep his dick in his pants???? It takes 2 to tango, if she's that pissed and bitter she should kill his ass....Sorry I have no sympathy for that bullshit...Infidelity is infidelity regardless if it's the husband or wife...If the roles were reversed and the wife was the one cheating on him I would feel the exact same way....I know it's always easier to put all the blame on the other woman/man....But the person you married is the one that took the vows with you....Then again you can also take it as he is the one killing them off to tie up loose ends especially since we don't exactly see who drove the car....It's up for interpretation.....

      I suspected the cop early on, when she began to think it was something premeditated. The addition of the other seemingly unrelated victim, and then the hints about how the women were seeing someone, but not seriously or publicly sort of clinched it--as it was clear in her first conversation with the cop there was some sort of romantic thing that was squashed by another woman (seemed to be a GF). By the time she sees the necklace, I think most viewers already knew what she realized. I'm not saying that's bad though. To be honest, nothing is more annoying than a movie with a mystery murder type plot where they hide all the relevant data till the end, and you're sitting there thinking "Well crap, who could have figured that out with all the relevant pieces withheld till the end?" It's like a cheat--like they want the viewer to be wondering what's happening, but are withholding all the information needed (or even one necessary piece) to solve it. What I really love is when I can't figure it out, and there's a reveal at the end, and *then* I realize the pieces were there, but I wasn't sharp enough to recognize it.
      I guess if I had to offer advice -- and I'm just a horror buff, not really big on murder mystery, and certainly no film maker -- I'd say maybe you gave too many clues, and it was more heavy handed than was necessary. It's a fine line though, and as I said, I prefer one I've figured out (at least I get to see the protagonist put it together--which is worth something) early, than one where it's impossible to figure it out.
      I liked it.

      Tracie Harris cool thanks for the info, happy you liked it. To be honest, is asked because I like to know what conclusion people actually come to. When you really think about it, there are at least a couple other answers than « it was the cop », but I wanted to put the audience in the journalist’s shoes, showing how we all are guilty of creating truths only from our interpretation of the info we have, which is what we do here, as does she. Thanks for the feedback !

    Ridicilous. It takes n number to die for the cops to notice they wear same necklace and she is the smart one!!!.

    The man that gave her the necklace is the killer it’s like most serial killers they always leave the same mark on their victims in this case, a three triangle necklace... well at least that’s my thought

    What did the angry exchange between the reporter and the deceased woman's sister add to the story? Did I miss something? It seems to me that the story would be exactly the same without that.

    Who do you think in there right mind would stop in the middle of the road to take a phone call & not even move when the car Comes at her.....

    I thought this was amazing! I forgot I was watching an indie short! The production alone was outstanding! I am a little disappointed that she would stop to answer a call in the middle of the road. A little too cliche, but, I loved it regardless! And, I REALLY love that I still am not sure of who did it? The detective? Or his wife? I am leaning towards the wife, but that's the beauty of it.
    The lead actress was amazing as well

    Ooiooo, my swing is it's his wife/girlfriend killing off the side tail, so easily identified by the jewelry. He appeared to be trying to get rid of her and the "no I feel like driving" comment sealed it
