I am in a field hockey club in Belgium. I am playing for already 4 years. But there is one thing that is still hard for my and that's backhand shot. Thanks to you guys I know how to do it better 👍
In future videos, couls you repeat some of the hits in slow motion to see what the correct form looks like when it’s being done at a normal speed?
Good idea. But the tempo of the video will be a lot slower then...🙈👍🏼🏑💪🏼

So according to the kockey rules if a ball is hit and it doesn't connect with the backplate of the goal box it is not a goal but a scoop/flick shot can hit the net does the same count for a tomahawk shot or not really unsure about this and I really want to know. Thank you keep up the great work!

If it hits your leg, you will cry like a baby 🚑
If that ball hit him he would be in serious pain
When you hit iT raster its more power in the ball and iT Goes way faster
I really want to play hockey since I can’t play ice hockey I’ll start this in the summer I’ll ask my mom or/and dad to go to sports direct and get some training clothes and a tennis ball 🎾 and some other shop for the stick and I’ll practice on my backyard 😇😎😎

this may be a dumb question, but you can't do a tomahawk going into the goal from the left correct? you would just do a regular hit or sweep?

Whenever you guys hit or stop the ball, the sound that the stick makes is different to my £200 stick is there any reason for that??

It depends on what stick you use
Bc if you 90% carbon it makes a different noise than 75% glassfiber or wood
It probably depends on how much carbon is in the stick and sometimes how old the stick is

Is it better to step and hit off your right foot rather than left? I usually hit off my left.
Well the standard hit is with your right foot in front. But sometimes if you have a lot of speed, you can end up with your left feet in front. So basicly it is Good to train them with both.
Does it make a difference which foot you lead with on the tomahawk??
Yeah you always step forward with your right food because your left foot will block your swing

Like the exercise cos its quite simple but we never focus on the reverse they say its something to practise on your own
But training it is also important.
