Thanks for that video and info. Where did the tweeter wires connect to? And the tweeters are running independent of the 6" in the doors? I updated the factory 6" speakers and head unit and floor mount all in one sub thing, still sounds terrible lol. Haven't done tweeters or amp though.
Hey. So for this particular set of speakers they go. Amp signal wire > woofer > tweeter (via a Y connection at the woofer). I've actually upgraded both woofers in the doors because it sounded crap with mismatching speakers. These are the wooders in the front - Pioneer TS-A1601C. That's strange your speakers sound bad if you've just upgraded. Are they splits or coaxial? Maybe the Head unit just needs tuning...
@ianpgonzaga ahh ok makes sense wiring wise. The speakers you chose seem like a good pick. I got some sony co axial speakers. Not very expensive though. I'd just hoped for improvement over stock. I might add some sound deadening in doors and parcel shelf. Or try something like your pioneer setup and an amp. Enjoying the minimalist style vids on small improvements to the S15 anyway. 👍
@@DriftLifeAus yeah you def. get what you pay for with speakers. I always try and get ones with a good low end frequency range and ones that can handle high power for amplification. You can get decent 2nd hand off marketplace and stuff! Just need to know what model is good.
Looks great mate!
Thanks! Sounds better too 🥳
if you use the hole saw on plastic, run the drill backwards to prevent hard rough edges! install looks nice though!! 😎
@@ketchupheadd ahhh damn if only I knew prior. Thanks for the tip though!
