Thank you so much for shouting out the gofundme. It really means a lot that you took the time to edit it in. Your support for your own community shouldn't be taken for granted on the internet. Thanks a million
I can recommend a mod called „Dragonborn speaks naturally“, which adds voice recognition to Skyrim for example in dialogue. Really adds to the immersion imo.
You're content is awesome! Always making me smile and laugh. Keep up the great work Habie! Also as a fellow Floridian, stay cool! Pause gang is filled with kings who are dressed dapper! Have a great day y'all.
I'm more amazed ya never seem the dude who jumps to high and fails at landing for those curious: In Marrowind there was an NPC near the beginning of the game that made a scroll to increase your acrobatics by 1000. When you jump, you go up hundreds of feet. Problem is the scroll buff only lasts for 2 seconds, but it takes longer then two seconds to reach the peak of the jump and come back down to land. When the scrolls buff ends, your acrobatics goes back to normal and you cant survive the jump. One of the best moments in gaming history.
This made me think of an old game, Drakan: order of the flame. That was such a fun game, now I can do nothing but wish that game would be recreated in VR.
I know you probably get quite a bit of support from your followers, but after hearing your genuine concern/care at the end of every video, I feel compelled to comment. Though we'll never talk face to face, it's still nice to hear the words of encouragement that you always include. I hope you had a good day today, and I look forward to watching the next video.
if you have a pc you can buy an oculus quest 2 (which is wireless and only 200 €/$/£ iirc) and still play things like skyrim. even without a pc, you can play games like saints and sinners or superhot. it's crazy how accessible vr is now
Imagine going back to the 1800s and putting a VR headset of Skyrim in Apocrypha on H.P Lovecraft. I'd tell him it was a gateway to his Eldritch horrors. Lol
Skyrim came out the year I graduated. It's still odd to me that people were 12 years old when this was released. I know kids existed when I was a teenager, but I'm an only child and seeing what I grew up with and hearing how it was perceived by people almost half my age is kinda cool. Also kinda scary since I'm 29 now and Skyrim came out like 10-11 years ago. I'm class of 2011.
I have > 500 hrs into Skyrim over the last decade, and forgot all about this DLC.. only just made landfall there when I stopped playing years ago. And now I have Skyrim VR! So thanks for reminding me, I'm headed back there. Although I have to start over with a new character. ugh.
The one dude who kills himself is an obvious reference to Tarhiel, an npc from morrowind who invented a spell to jump higher and jumped so high he died. Which is a perfect moment to inform you that there is a morrowind VR mod that came out recently (still in developpement) and is already somewhat playable, so, if you ever wanna give it a go... Obviously I'd recommend playing the original flatscreen release but you can still test the vr version just for fun
Nexus Mods is the most incredible place on the internet - with SkyrimVR mods I felt like a kid again, getting every mod I want, designing my own perfect version of the game...until I learn that half my plugins are incompatible.
Idk if anyone said it yet, but the guy who yeets himself into the air is a direct reference to Morrowind. They always said the hardest part of flying was the ground.
I died when he was saying "you can not command me forever, pfffft, you're a lizard bro" as he was reloading his save like only a true Dragonborn does 🤣
Hey, Habie, I'd love to see you do some Mod DLC playthroughs in VR. You're very entertaining, and you also have that charisma that can drag out a video and still make it enjoyable.
He makes it look way more fun than it actually is. Skyrim VR is so jank compared to actual VR games it feels like a basic mod of the 2011 version. Its only worth it for nostalgia
OH man, I had never actually gone to Solstheim in VR or standard. Decided to do the story before watching your video and OH MAH GOD that shit was amazing! The first time being pulled into the book and seeing that new realm!!! With all those hentai tentacles!
I really hope you check out Dragonborn Can Surely Fly at some point. It's not officially out yet, but you can download a beta on the author's UA-cam channel. (In the description of their preview video) You get to flap your wings, glide, a whole wingsuit physics system, it's _great_ fun! You're even able to attack mid-flight, shoot arrows, throw weapons with the mod that allows that, it's so good. It also _sort of_ works with Worldspace Transition Tweaks, so you can fly directly between Solstheim and Skyrim, but you lose momentum when the teleport triggers, so you need to be up high to get your speed up again, since you can't easily take off if you land in the water.
Ever since I've first seen How to Train your Dragon in a 3D theater, I've been wanting to try this so bad. I just wish I could work out the bugs on my Quest 2 to play games through Virtual Desktop. Shit is annoying to deal with. I also donated to the gofundme, because I also have a sister in current medical care and know what it's like, so thanks for shouting that out, God bless and keep up the amazing content.
I can definitively say that riding the back of a dragon isn't my dream it is more like your whole life flashing before your eyes and wondering why did it take so long, wwwhhhhhhyyyyyyyyyyyyy.
Just throwin this out there... When I finally got to the end of skyrim when it first launched and it cut to black rather than letting me ride a dragon, I legit stopped playing for 3-4 months out of sheer blue-balled rage. I'd put in my 100+ hours, sidequested until I new Skyrim better than my home town, and then they just slap me like that? It was a while before I trusted again...
omg habie broooooo. i fucking love DRAGONS! My cat is litterally called DRAGON! I walk around yelling DRAGONNNNN! I love them, I even have a squishmello dragon! I need Skyrim VR right now for this amazing experience!!!
I was looking to buy Skyrim on steam, assuming that VR was just a mod for it. But then I saw that it's a separate game for the full price of $60 and I changed my mind 😂
10 years later I still wanna ride a dragon but much differently

Here's hoping those medical bills aren't as bad now
They're about 2k past the half way point
"You're a lizard bro"
Is legitimately one of the funniest things I've ever heard in relation to skyrim
"Florida man rides giant lizard and set's people on fire"
Sounds like a standard evening in Florida.
"Florida man rides giant flying alligator"
"And this one dude who killed himself that I've somehow never seen before "
Things not to say out of context
Who ever guessed habie went from flying a plane to riding a damn dragon.
I sure as shit didn't, but HELL YEAH!

These videos have been some of the most entertaining I've seen on UA-cam. So happy to see when you upload in my feed!
My smooth brain hasn't clicked a video this fast in awhile. Haha, love the content brother. Keep doing what you love.
I’m so happy this channel exists. All the wrinkles in my brain are gone, and it’s all been worth it.

@0:44 I'm pretty sure that's a reference to Morrowind! Keep up the VR work, love to see it.
My index is coming tomorrow and you've made the wait a little bit more bearable, thank you!
Im just happy that the animation i made made it into the video!!

Twas' indeed a vacation, always a laugh. Can't wait to hit this hot vacation locale on my own. "JAKARIS!!!" That is all....
That guy that kills himself is a callback to Morrowind. Where a guy does the same exact thing, and leaves behind a scroll that lets you do it too.
THIS is why your videos are so popular. It feels like old UA-cam, so relaxing.
VR looks really fun but I've never had the money for it. Thank you for letting us enjoy this secondhand through you

This by far is my absolute favorite feature in Skyrim VR. It is *criminal* that you can't do this in the base game.
