I honestly don't know why people hate the MK characters are in this game. the two are made by the same people, nobody complained when jason or Predator were in MK and they have zero connection with the creators. The dialogue between the MK and DC characters is amazing, and I like the connections. Especially between Raiden and Starfire.
From what I heard, they just don't want them to waste character slots on MK characters that they are already familiar with when they can have other popular DC character :s
