best way I have ever described a dissociative episode is that its like feeling like you're playing a video game. It feels like your mind is somewhere else from a 3rd person view moving your body around and having you do things. Less of a "none of this is real" mental break, more like being aware you're in the matrix, or that moment where you realize you're in a dream and you have control over everything that happens. its a very unnerving feeling a times and can quickly ruin my mood, headspace, and the vibe of whatever I'm doing. I could be out with friends and suddenly I dont feel happy, I feel like none of it's real, like the "fun" experience I am having feels the same as reading a story.

Soosh that weird disconnected feeling you’re talking about after a night of drinking is called “derealization/depersonalization, very weird and scary feeling you literally cannot fully describe no matter how hard you try. I always explain it like I’m just now realizing everything around me is life and I’m disconnected from reality.

hey boys, I just want to express my appreciation for being able to conduct this podcast, especially during rather more sensitive topics such as the BLM and navigating through political topics with such poise and openness to fair discussion because not only was it a relief to see the conversation be conducted so respectfully but also it allowed for someone like myself and most likely many others to remain engaged and follow along. I gotta say, hearing everything said, it has got me wanting to become further educated on these real world topics, with global politics so that im not a "sheep" so to speak as mentioned in the video by Kenny. All in all, I've been following you fellas for a few to several months now and y'all keep it as real as possible. Quite honestly some of my favorite people within the fitness industry/community to keep up with. Keep achieving big things brothers!!

Regarding the ayahuasca stuff, When you take psychedelics you are in an incredibly suggestive state. Anything that you perceive, either in your environment or through communicating with others will manifest itself in what you see or experience in the trip. It's not unreasonable for people, even strangers, to experience the same things in a trip due to the environment they are in or what people around them are saying / how they are acting. For example, say you were tripping with someone you'd never met before. If they started looking at a corner and they seemed scared, you would also probably look at that corner and see something scary. Their reactions and how they are acting will rub off on you and completely bypass the wall you have in your brain. It will become part of your experience and almost instantly manifest itself in your head without you having a chance to think about it first. This is why bad trips happen, some sneaky little bad thought enters your head and that's it, you can't get rid of it. Also even after a trip, psychedelics are (mostly) very long-acting compounds and the after effects can linger for hours and even days. You will still be in a somewhat suggestive state for a while. If you're talking over a trip with other people that were tripping, you'll latch on to all the similarities of the experiences and build it up in your head, even if the experiences were completely different. A beautiful thing regardless but not exactly what it seems. Just some insight from someone that's done a little too many psychs. Source: trust me bro
Soosh I completely understand what you said about the disassociation with reality. It hit me pretty hard after smoking for about 5 months it felt permanent. Also, my visions for an alienated reason got deteriorated so it was blurry but I thought it was that disassociation that was causing it. So i lived for a few months thinking I was in a fake world and I was fading away. I stopped smoking and now I'm normal again. So yeah it completely fucked my personality and mood.
