Lol. I have just assumed, when it's small bugs like this, that some individual developer opens up Hammer and fixes it without having to ask the rest of the team.
I seriously Valve employees must be thinking like this lol: "Man, why would I waste time testing maps when this youtuber does it for free? I'll just release it, watch this guy make a thorough analysis, point the issues and fix them." Jokes aside, Valve giving 3kliksphilip a CS2 invitation was very smart in hindsight. Dude should get at least an acknowledgement in release notes for his efforts.
I think it's a good thing that Philip has some influence in the Counter-Strike development team. He's critical of the important details but not harsh, so they're more likely to listen to him than if he made a rant video screaming at the camera. I hope Valve continues to pay attention to this man for ways to improve CS2 going forward!
@@namgge2612 You are right, but most of these details are so small that I personally wouldn't be bothered by them. I play CS to shoot people, not inspect random models in game, although it's good they fixed the unclimbable bins, which didn't make any sense. Rest of them are pretty insignificant

@@generalh1044 Ripping out all the character and grit from a game for the benefit of "e-sports" is how you get the terrible bland and empty maps like in Valorant.
This is the little issue of having an actual E-Sports game. E-Sports games do not benefit from "creativity" in the map design like that, because some of them will inevitably lead to overpowered abuses, and then they HAVE to change them for balance reasons. Would be nice if they made maps classified as "anti-competitive", maps where they deliberately build in a variety of potentially creative things, and just let them be essentially badly balanced. But again, they can't do that with maps that will be used competitively.
I like these 2 clipping videos a lot, because when I played overpass in CS2, I actually noticed a few of these things, and found it to be strange and annoying, and then you made a video elaborating on the stuff that players might have actually experienced.
I feel like the garbage can in playground should be readded with removed clipping. Even though you're likely to never spot anyone in this position, it would make for an interesting boost for CTs trying to get a little too aggressive, much like the elevated areas between T spawn and Ramp of Mirage.
"Ah great Phill! Thanks pay attension to your clipping matters, so we have decided to remove every bin and ladders that caught your attension, have a great day! - Regards Valve"

Valve is always keeping an eye on Philip's channel in some capacity. In fact, Philip spot all the map problems in such fashion way instead of going to the CSGO subreddit.
I'm sad to see these bins remove because you can tell the people who used to walk around overpass still leaves some trash in these spots. As if they were so used to put their garbage in that location but the bins only exist in their mind. Becoming merely a vague memory that belongs to the past now...
I really don't like them removing all kinds of stuff just because they don't know what to do with it. I love these details and props, and it's an awful shame to make the maps feel so much less real and alive by making them emptier. I hope they won't ruin the maps just to please the most competitive players. Most of the playerbase is not that competitive anyway.
I believe that the most effective way to solve any type of inconsistency would be to have two different configurations of the same map, one that is totally and completely random, even promoting fun based on imbalance and interaction with the environment, adding extra elements such as more interactable doors where they aren't, (things like destructible objects, interactive lights, doors, and little less clipping to play with mobility) adding some destruction and so on (which would create original playable concepts) and another that is polished where the factor that matters is gameplay removing all the elements that are removed such as those now, and promoting skill and tactics, so you would enjoy the scenarios and the competitive mode much more, counter strike is for everyone, not just professionals.
