Good shout out to John Cordy. I watch his Channel regularly, very informative and great legato technique. 😎 I started importing some of the new Presets into my old HX Stomp Setlist. I then decided part way through that I'd get more benefits and fix some of the old mistakes I made if I imported my best Presets into the new 3.50 Update. This is made easier by using the "extract" features that come with HX Edit. I can then switch out an old Cab Block for a new one, and take advantage of the substantial DSP savings. Or, I can replicate my settings in a new Preset.
Trev Lukathers artist preset was added in the 3.0 update. Richie Castellanos was added in 3.0 as well. Theres a ton of artists presets that were added in 3.0.
I saw John’s video and installed the new presets. They sound great! Like you, until I saw John’s video, I had no idea the new presets were available with V3.50. 😂
I’m impressed that it seems you didn’t research the sounds at all before showing us them, and about half the video was you testing presets that already existed since 3.0
@@SteveSterlacci a bit sarcastic, just having the helix guide would help the videos be more informative. your video was fun to watch. @dannyplaysguitar of course I can! But the Helix should have gig ready presets already in there. Why should I have to spend $1500 on a Helix then go buy third party presets? I guess I just don’t have a lot of time these days!
I feel like this happens from time to time, I always backup the factory presets separately in addition to a full Helix backup, in case I ever want to browse their stuff again. I also save the presets I like to another setlist (you can save them to an internal folder on your computer if your device doesn't have setlists) so I don't lose them during an update.

Steve, When I did the update. I followed the instructions and created the back up , did the update but I restored my full back up which would have over written the updated factory presets. Should I do a factory reset and only bring in my built presets?
This is actually a prototype run they did at the Heritage plant. They were gonna try to make all USA series there, but it never worked out. This is 1 of 6 that they did as a trial
Hey Steve thanks so much for this video! I tried to load the new presets on to my hx stomp but for some reason they are not loading. They just have the old ones. I'm not getting the drop down arrow on my preset list? Do you have any advice?
Hey buddy. I've been looking for a video and can't find any information on it. Maybe one into the front of the other or in the FX loop, witch unit into which, the order and such. I understand if you're unable to help. But if you could make a quick video about it I know you would be the first and a lot of people would probably be interested in it. Thanks buddy. Keep up the great work.

It's too bad that with such a great overall update Line 6 kinda (IMHO) botched the rollout. I think its hard to pull off 2022 level of updates in 2015 level hardware. Think about if you didnt upgrade your cell phone for 7 years how it would react to the new firmwares.
