In 1973 I was 16 and I saw the Z 1 at my neighbor's in the color maroon brown. I knew then that one day I would buy the best motorcycle. It took me until 2003 when I bought the ZX 12 R.
Mine was a cb 500 four. Next was a 73 Z1. KZ 1300. Yamaha venture. FJ 1100. FZ 700. Kawasaki voyager. Cbr929. ZRX 1200. Still riding at 67 years young!
Wow ! I could identify with both of you ! The way neither one of you interrupted the other while speaking was awesome. I enjoy listening to an interview when each person is a good listener, as well as being a good talker. Thanks for posting the video. It was very inspirational ✌️.
One of my earliest Kawasaki specific memories (maybe 1984?) was a fellow who commuted on a black GPz and passed my school bus every morning. I remember one of the sixth graders calling it a Ninja. The following day I looked for the Ninja logo and sure enough, it was. Pretty cool bike.
My best friend about 10 years ago went to Michigan to get a Kawasaki Zephyr, was a California model with a bunch of air pollution stuff in it and sand in every. He put a lot of money into it, in the end he didn’t like it. It looked good repainted and NOS Zephyr badges from England in it. I myself wasn’t a fan of it either. We are both old Honda guys. I taught him how to ride in the late 80’s on an old CB450.
Great interview! Normally I cannot sit through an hour of discussion, but I could this one. Nice job Eric!
Thanks so much. It was fun. I really like them. Hopefully you guys do too. Thanks for watching.
I got the book. Love it! ❤
It's so good!

Used to have an I believe early 70s chopped Honda twin 350 scrambler. Wish I never sold it.
CL350’s are some of my favorite bikes to ride. Thanks for watching.
