Welcome to The Frey Life daily vlogs! We are Peter & Mary, a married couple in our early 30's, showing the ups and downs of everyday life with #CysticFibrosis, a genetic lung disease that Mary was born with. In August 2019, Mary started a new CF medication that changed the trajectory of our future, and life has changed dramatically - including our son, Elijah, joining our family in December 2021. We also have an adorable standard poodle, Oliver, and a hairless sphynx cat, Harry. It's our hope that these videos can be an encouragement to to celebrate the little things in life and find joy amidst a world full of hard realities!

My daughter didn't understand adorable. I would say are you adorable? Her response: No, I am not a door.😂
Omg my daughter would say the same
When my son (who has a disability) was about 10 or 11 . I asked him to draw the curtains (meaning close the curtains). He went to his room and was taking awhile, he came back with a drawing of the curtains. I praised him for the great picture. Then I asked him to close the curtains.
I love seeing Elijah doing his signing. Can you do a video on how you taught him, and the signs that he knows? He is so cute, what a happy little boy ❤
Oh yes please do .
He is so stinking adorable 😊 his face expressions when he knocked it over is to cute
A boys reaction lol joy I destroyed it.
He's like hey lady, I knocked it over like you asked, and you didn't even notice! 😂
We had our babies 11 months apart. Having a newborn and a toddler was a blessing in disguise. Life slowed way down again and my toddler enjoyed the slower pace. Also, and the best part, we were so forgiving of ourselves as parents. We were usually one on one with the boys and since we could only fix one baby at a time we were able to give I ourselves grace. With only one baby we rushed to "fix" him, or we felt bad leaving him on a blanket while we showered. Somehow, being even more "helpless", we actually had a better perspective of what was urgent and what could wait and that actually, the kids were fine playing on the bathroom floor while we showered. Patience and grace will get you through. It seems scary while you preplan how everything will work out and how to schedule the day, but I promise you, you will find your stride sooner than you realize. I had a friend who had babies a year apart tell me this very same thing while I was pregnant with our second and I didn't believe her! Lol, she was right! And absolutely take another day off from us at You Tube during the week. We follow you because we love you and we want the best for you and your family ♥️
I totally agree! ❤️
Life is beautiful isn't it congratulations on your new little one. I think Elijah's going to make a great big brother God bless.
Seeing Elijah enjoy playing is always so precious. You and Peter are doing such a fantastic job parenting. Elijah is blessed as will his new brother or sister. So happy for all of you. A beautiful blessing to for everyone. 🙏
Elijah is growing up so fast. ❤ new sweetie will be very fortunate to have the Frey family love her. ❤
My older kids never said it but my youngest would lose it every time we said love you to the moon.... he would be like I don't want you to go to the moon.. I'd miss you! :)
Such a doll baby so much fun at that age.💙💙💙💙
Are you fostering to end in adoption? Love the way affirmations are used to encourage Elijah!
I wondered this too x
When did they even announce they were taking in a foster? I watch every vid?? It’s great but I was just wondering.
The channel Happy Hoppe has lots of fostering tips. First time foster parents, the three kids have just been reunited with their mum and dad after over two years. Lisa and Peter put stickers over the kids faces on their vlogs and kept privacy that way, rather than disrupting the vlogs. Lisa and Peter are lovely people, about the same age as yourselves.
outdoor play is so good, fresh air, birds chirping, and not many distractions as usually just one toy and attention from mom! Adjustments, but Elijah will learn that change happens and it's fine, we help each other adjust!
Exciting news that little sweetie is going to be coming home. She is definitely getting some awesome Foster Parents. She is going to be introduces to so many wonderful things. I pray she adjusts well, and feels the love, and warmth of the family. Elijah, is going to be a big brother!! God bless you, Mary, and Peter. Thank you for your love, and willingness. 💖
That is very exciting that we're going to have baby 2 joining the family.
Soon.
That looks like an excellent way to spend an afternoonxxx
I love that he can sign! It was sweet!
Do Elijah's birth parents see his sweet big boy grow? He is a good person! He will be a great brother so much like his daddy! And he can be like his preacher daddy! He will strong!
Interesting watching Elijah trying to figure out how the legos connect together.
Ahh I can't express how frigging cute he is! Lol
your both such amazing parents your son is so blessed
I love his signs!!! He may have an easier time using bigger legos. They are much easier for smaller hands. Also magnatiles are great too!!!
Eijah is so smart and adorable..
Around age 3 1/2 he will be entering a preschool program either year round or seasonal school year program..
@@ivark56ofPA That's interesting. I don't think I've heard Peter and Mary talk about their plans for him that far in advance. Have I missed a video?
My kids are 23 months apart and it was wonderful - the adjustments are minor compared with the gifts
You will do fine.
I had 5 children and with each it was a small change but a great change.
Praying for you all.
You guys have got this 💜💜💜
Praying for all the best to come your way❤❤❤❤
I am happy to hear you all are doing so good you and peter are going to be amazing foster parents you both are so wonderful!
He is so cute! ❤️
Even now I still love my Lego sets 😀.
He’s adorable ❤
you all are one of my favorite families to
watch here on youtube. I just love your little family and your love for one another shines through the screen. Elijah is so precious
and I will be praying for your little sweetie. ♥️ you guys are beautiful from the inside out!
Stay healthy. You guys will be Super parents.Happy for your family
Love and prayers
Watching you as a mom is just so wonderful. You are such a good mom. ❤
My heart overflows for Mary ♥️
He's so cute. I remember telling my daughter to "hop in the car" then couldn't figure out why she was jumping up and down...😂 Write these things down...so when you are a Grandma you can tell them what there Dad did.
Can't wait to see your new sweetie
Sweetie in the hospital makes me sad. 😢
Based on what they've said, it sounds like little sweetie is a newborn, or else I've completely misinterpreted everything they've said about him/her.
May I ask how old is your sweetie is?Best of luck to you! Have you decorated a room for little sweetie?
It is nice to see Eli signing, seems very smart, yet will this stop him from using his words? I have never heard him speak.
Developmentally kids are able to sign before they are able to say many words, it really helps in reducing frustration for them. But from the research I've heard of on the subject, it does not inhibit speech in any negative way. Kids are well able to do both at the appropriate times. Eli is still pretty little for a lot of verbal speech yet, so developmentally it is totally normal that he can sign words that he is not able to say yet.
He is so cute.
Mary those hooks where that swing is hanging don’t look all that strong, makes me nervous! 😮
Elijah is getting so big!
Surprising that he is already 1 1/2 years old as of this month on JUNE 21st..
Your smiling face makes me smile! ❤❤❤ I love that you are becoming a family of 6 and there are so many things changing. Congratulations on living out your dreams ✨💟 -Sonia ☺️
family of six?????
Counting Oliver and Harry,lol😊
Omg…I scratched my head when I read “family of 6”…I was thinking “what did I miss!?! I thought I was only away for a few weeks”…but then I remembered.
With Harry and Oliver …..Hahaha…..I had to stop and count to make sure I had it right lol 🙃💟
❤️❤️❤️
He makes me laugh!!
I havent watched you both for a while are you adopting another baby? you talk about adjustments!!!!! hope your keeping well Mary and Peter is enjoying spending time with Elijah xxx should have watched the vlog further on congratulations....... so pleased for you all. It could be a very challenging time I have a 4 year gap between my IVF (now 31 year old daughter) and her sister. She found it hard she had dyslexia and dyscalculia so even now takes things very literally!! x
I’d love a video or anything on how you taught Elijah sign language! My baby is 7 months old and I’m trying to start with him. ❤️
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
❤
My sons middle name is Noel when I would call him his entire name he would respond no/yes 😂
He was like nope not making it tall. I am going to slap it.
Maybe you might adopt the sweetie but please don't stop doing your videos I really like them
I hope not quitting for sure . I know there is now going to be a later release time for the latest episodes due to peters new job happening.
And adoption of baby 2..
Im looking forward to the day when baby number 2 come home
And that looks like a bigger of version of Lego blocks I think there
Called locblocks Ive seen on tv at a one time commercial.. I see Mary
Your putting the blocks together and building something while little boy
Elijah is knocking it down.. Its going to be another year before he starts voicing despite doing well with sign language communication .
Today's episode is released on JUNE 14th about one week til summer solstice at 10:58am next Wednesday morning..😊❤
Duplos, from what I can tell.
Has Elijah met little sweetie yet? I think he’ll do fine.
We haven't has of yet..
Just a question will you and Peter be adopting this little one? If so Elijah is going to be an awesome and amazing big brother.
That's what im wondering if baby 2 will be a boy or girl..
@@ivark56ofPA me too!
@@ivark56ofPAi think it’s girl
Didn’t she said she’ll ne discharge soon
@@Pam836 that what I thought too.. She will be a great sister
If a girl or great brother if another boy comes home..
Are you adopting or fostering the little sweetie ?
I said a litle prayer so you wouldn't get a truck in the face with those little flailing arms.
It will be interesting to see how Elijah reacts to not being the centre of attraction.
Did I miss the video introducing the decision to foster a child? I can understand that filming a foster child has many special protective and possibly legal limits so this new member cannot be shown…or spoken about…but I have just been trying to pick up what is going on bit by bit. Is there a possibility you have already sat together explaining how this came about or will work? Is this child moving in fulltime? Are we not going to see the family together anymore? I respect the privacy, am confused and think whoever this new sweetie is will be very very lucky
Those are very good questions that can be used for a future question and answer episode at some point when the time comes and when the
Family decides to do one..
Yes, they announced it a couple or few weeks ago (I forget which day exactly, but it was pretty recent).
As SnowySpiritRuby said, they made an announcement within the last couple of weeks, and I think it was the episode named Our Lives Are Changing.
@@SnowySpiritRuby I replayed it…not sure why I didnt catch all the details…thx I have been watching this family for years….this is so great.
did i miss something
🤎
Fostering? How'd I miss that news?
Why do you teach him sign language? Is there a special reason?
It's a great way to communicate with your little one until they are od enough to talk.
Mary is well aware I’m sure
Thats how many new parents start out communicating the first two years of a new childs life with sign language before voicing. Later on.
Really, I don't know anybody that teaches their children sign language. That's wonderful, but it would be nice if he could communicate with other people in case he needs help. I wouldn't be able to understand him if he asked for help.
@@ckelly7870 I doubt seriously I'd be able to understand a one-and-a-half-year-old who was a stranger to me even if he was talking, lol. Used to work with that age group in church nursery, and it took several months of getting to know them before you could figure out what they were saying:-)
She said "she" so its a girl. Not sure but is this a foster to adopt? Wondering if its a premie or an infant with health issues. She has said no facial photos due to fostering situation.
I am curious about why Elijah was taught sign language? Does that hamper his progress for speech?
He seems more frustrated today.
I hope it works out well.❤
Lego can be frustrating! It's not likely to hamper his speech especially when he has his hands full of toys and they talk to him a lot.
A lot of people teach their babies sign because they can often pick up sign before they can speak and its been shown to actually improve overall communication
Teaching sign is kind of like being bilingual. Keep it up, there are a lot of kids who can only sign and will need a friend who's good at it.
It doesn't hinder it actually makes things better makes them a better speaker being able to use their hands and mouth to speak
HOWS YOUR SISTER RACHAEL?????
Wait what happened to Rachel I noticed on Instagram someone else asked that as well ? I hope she’s okay ❤
@@natysm25 as far as i know she died saw on her blog ❤rip❤
I have not seen anything about that on any social medias or blogs ❤I hope it’s not the case and sending much love to the family ❤
Lexc UK km look l
hey, I’m just curious, but are you adopting another baby or are you conceiving? Naturally? I am just curious. either way congratulations on the little one. Can you do a video whether you’re adopting this little one or rather you are conceiving naturally I mean it’s most likely adoption, but your viewers want to know.
Outside play is the best. I’m hoping you are doing Foster to Adopt with your foster cutie baby. We did Foster to Adopt with our youngest. Extremely stressful but so worth it all. 🩷
