Oh..my..GOD..What did I just watch!?!? Drill and formations were perfect, J-Settes on point and the dance routine was amazing. The boom left that field on FIRE!! Haters cant do nothing with this one. The eruption of applause at the end of the show says it all.

+Edward Allen And THAT'S YOUR OPINION. I have no problem with that, but I played in the Band and I do have EARS. And J-STATE while they do SOUND GOOD. There not on SU LEVEL. They Never Were. They have some Great Battles, but always #2. They go to JACKSON and take the CROWD away from J-STATE With POWERFUL ARRANGEMENTS.

Awesome season opener JSU! Love the drill, and the Jsettes were amazing as usual. Loved how the crowd participated. I noticed the percussion section drilled the field as well. I hope they continue to do so. The only thing I dislike is the DM's removing their hats. They can still dance with the hats on. They look amazing with the hats on. Good job JSU!

Right! I feel like the crowds out of conference exactly appreciate the performances and that is beautiful to see. Our HBCU crowds are spoiled with this every season so they are use to it, but damn I long to hear this type of reaction for bands from our own again. This was good

As a Skegee grad, this was a clean show for the first of the year. You are gonna have mistakes, but this is one of the best field show I have seen. I.never got to see the bands perform because I played football my 4 years at Tuskegee, but I am a band head.....this is a very clean show, and the crowd was into it. This is a 9.0 show out of 10.

Damn straight! Very well said & I totally agree! I was at the SU vs UGA game last season and it was amazing. It's great when OUR exceptional HBCU bands play at these large universities and share our wonderful tradition. I'm always amazed and celebrate how well the crowd embraces and gets into the performance. Thank you UNLV for so graciously welcoming the BOOM! Wish I could've been there.

I'm surprised that there's an entire channel dedicated to marching bands. This is insane.
You should check out some of the other channels that showtime mag is subscribed to. These channels have been around for years. If you enjoyed Jackson State you will definitely enjoy the rest of the HBCU style bands out there.

These "fans" go at it harder than the actual members....When facing each other it's war but when we step out of the conference it's support. Sounds like TF is trying to come back sitting on the G's again.
i like this band, but the intro is to drawn out.. it takes a whole two and half minutes to start the show .. i be falling asleep during the beginning.. thats why i like southern, they give you high energy from the beginning to end.. their drills start off with a fast tempo to wake people up

Su show was no where near as good as this show...they attempted to spell out #LIT in the show and it didn't quite come across as that...then they just ran to a spot and stood still most of the show and tried to crank up...you might want to go reevaluate it...

Yea, that was awesome to see.
They're not small the boom was this size in 00s even late 2000s. A larger boom wasn't good on the field they were doing drills that matched a smaller band causing messed up lines and stuff but here you can tell the drill fit the actual show. You know the tnstate game they doing a new show they can't do this show vs tsu
