I love the video scene of the fighter jets in AC 6--it is pretty much the best in overall quality and the most cinematic among all AC.

I like it when you fly around and watch the battlefield, you will see paratrooper jumping from the planes. very cool!
I still think aside form Zero's Glacial Skies, this is probably one of the best intros for an Ace Combat Game.

I was able to, using the F-14 and SAAMs, kill three Strigons on this mission. Strigon wasn't prepared for Garuda 1 to ignore G forces entirely to shoot them down.

Just a heads up, Ace. This is still 30 fps even if your capture card claims to be recording in 1080p60fps (as is the case for Elgato HD60 and similar hardware). Why? Because Ace Combat 6 runs natively at 30 fps. The only way to get a 60 fps effect, would be to use motion interpolation software like pandazooka, Dantofu and I use for our videos. I hope you understand that I'm not dissing this video and just giving you some valuable information.
Really? Because I am getting a 60fps input in my game capture and when I checked in my editing software there were 60 frames in every second of the video
Ace combat 6 running 30 fps , whit Ace combat X (PSP), Ace combat 1 2 3 and infinity
Like I said, that's just an indicator of the maximum output your capture card can record for games in general, but the game itself cannot go to that frame per second threshold (it was made way before 60 fps and high definition games came along, after all). A good eye can instantly tell this gameplay is in 30 fps, and nowhere as smooth as 60 fps.
For your editing software, it's the same answer: it says it renders in 60 fps, but the recording itself is an obvious 30 fps, and only a few specific software can artificially produce more frames per second. What you're doing is just unnecessarily making your file size larger.
You could use motion interpolation to achieve a 60fps effect, but it would not be perfect. Ace Combat 6 runs natively at 30fps
probably whats happening then is that for every frame that the game puts out, 2 frames are recorded

Worst cutscenes in any Ace Combat game... but some of the best gameplay of the series.
tbh Melissa's story could've had a bigger punch.. if only the game gave the time (and the missions) to let her and Matilda grow as a character.. idk show them in their daily routine while sprinkling hints here and there that shit's about to go down south.
This applies to all of the characters, they didn't have enough time to show themselves as individuals rather than just some blatant characters that you just gotta sympathize with from the get go.
There is a reason why we love Edge, Chopper and Archer more than Swordsman in AC5, because we "grew" with them from when we were nothing. From when Blaze was just your average Joe Schmo of an Osean fighter pilot to a war hero praised by many feared by all, and then into a fugitive where everyone turned their backs on him and Wardog Squadron (even AWACS Thunderhead, someone that have been through the shitter with them throughout the entire Circum-Pacific War) and at last being the "Unsung hero" we know and love.. While Swordsman is just like "Hey, I'm the new guy here.. yeah, you've probably seen me like a couple missions ago. I'm just here to fill in the void Captain Davenport left... just uhh.. don't mind me, I'll just.. uhh.. yeah".
If only they would let Melissa, Matilda, their late husband and father, Colonel Voychek, Shamrock (Garuda 2), AWACS Ghost Eye and all the other characters grow just a bit longer.. like maybe 3 to 5 more missions before the assault on Gracemeria, we could've had a great story on our hands... huh...

I don't get the complaints about AC6 story or script...
I don’t think ac6’s story is really bad, just a bit lackluster. the war that goes on in AC6 is good, but the story of matilda and melissa are imho boring and takes time away that could be spent building more character out of the main / allied squadrons
I see an F-4J in this cutscene. I usually see an Su-37 flying in and shooting the missile.

I'm just wondering...... How did Emmeria not notice a big submarine (Hrimfaxi) from another nation lying in their waters? A sub of that size near your nation, is more than likely to cause more than panic among the people, even if they're not aware of its armament or capability.......

Why does this game give players so many missiles? I find it very unnecessary and to easy, in Ace Combat 5 you had to manage every thing and time your attacks precisely or risk running out of everything. Good hunting guys and girls.
michael garcia unlike AC5 where you fight a few enemies at a time this game has you fighting enemy battalions, the areas can get crowded at times and some enemies are tough to shoot down
Honestly ace combat 4-5-0 really made you learn how to use your guns over missiles, especially with ground targets.
88Mobius Not really for AC 4. Having a return line for every mission means an unlimited supply of weapons and repairs.
oh yeah, i forgot about that. I would try to avoid that though, so i did not run out of time.
The return line in AC4 felt like cheating.

call me crazy, but I actually liked AH. I thought AH focused more on action rather than story, and to be honest it was not bad a story.

I will agree it was not bad game play wise, story wise it could literally put me asleep.
The level's felt long and way to drawn out. The allies system was a cool idea, but it felt forced at times. on the other hand the first time i played through i completely ignored the allies system. AC 4 5 & 0 are the gold standard for me.
poor graphics, strange dialogue. (japanese esque) i would rather hear it in japanese and read the subtitles, it just sounds too weird in english.
