- While I agree that this game wasn't quite as good as the PS2 trilogy, I still had a lot of fun with it.
Here's hoping Ace Combat Infinity will at least be just as good as AC6 or better.
Speaking of Infinity, apparently the Aigaion has been renamed to Moby Dick. I guess it does kinda look like a giant whale in the sky. - Ігри

My dad thought me a genius when I first tried this.
And then Strigon don't know how to tail a plane so slow and they overshoot, and end up right in front of the brrrrt too.

I try to complete it with only SP weapons and MG
@@LOLMAN9538 you get a medal for only using mg in a play through. No sp weapons or missiles allowed. I just started today and I got to mission 11 before it was time for rest.

This game was so good that it trumped 7. Wish they had a remaster or a sequel to this (not seven). Being Able to control the whole squad, great squads. Great lore. *chef Kiss*
ah, the Su-35 Flanker featuring Yellow Squadron's paint scheme, well played. best way to kill Aigaion is using RCL's

Yellow squadron Does use su-37s. But this is in ace combat 6, where there are no su-37s or su-35s.
The Flanker in AC6 is the Su-33, which makes sense as only the Strigon team use it, and it is a carrier fighter variant.. The one in AC-4 used by Yellow Squadron is the Su-37, which externally looks very similar to the 33, but lacks the ability to land on carriers.
For me, I always use the Su-33 with the Estovakia SP paint and RCL loadout.
out of all ace combat characters, talisman is one of my favs.
And to think, this level kept me stumped for over a year.

Even for 2007, AC6 has beautiful graphics.
2007 was an awesome year for timeless graphics.

Don't forget Burnout Paradise, 2008 technically, but graphically it still blows me away. Still find it silly the "remastered" it, like it already looked great!

They are, but after playing AC7 I can't help but notice how washed out and grey the sky is in the majority of the levels in AC6.
Sometimes it's grey, or maybe a brownish grey, maybe a blueish grey... I believe one level has a greenish grey sky too if I remember correctly.
This is probably my favorite ace combat mission. I used to play this all the time with my own background music. Galneryus - New Legend. Syu's badass guitar shredding and Yama-B on the mic while I take down this fuckin behemoth. The sheer awesomeness actually brought a tear to my eye.
SU-47 with UGB is similar to this. A single UGB can take out a whole engine block, so you can get a lot of TGTs destroyed in a short amount of time. The RCL is probably more efficient overall, but UGB makes me feel like a dive bomber.
For me it was the special estovakian plane equipped with the 12 missile driver system but for the early planes I did not think of this
CFA-44 Nosferatu, it's missiles are stupid strong
Very nicely done indeed! I love flying through it as the Strigon Squadron starts to take off, such a rush. The gameplay looks very smooth, a lot more than on my 360...am I making this up?
I took it down with the F15 using Guns to destroy the engines
I know I’m 6 years late, but I just wanna say, this is by far the fastest way to take down the again. If I’m doing a speedrun on any differently, this is the only mission I’m NOT using the cfa-44, rather using the su-33 with rcl’s
I can vouch, the unguided rockets are the way to go on this mission
Ace combat 7 would have been worlds better if count had been your wingman and you could have tasked him with either covering you or attacking targets. Not to mention having the ability to call allied attacks.
It would have been nice to issue command to your squadron after you get free from the Spare Squadron and get assigned to Strider, when you become Strider 1.
Hot Take, I wouldn’t have been mad if AC7 looked like this but just had, higher quality textures, anti-aliasing, an extremely long render distance, higher resolution and smooth frame rate.

Ac6 had amazing gameplay held back by less than stellar writing. Which is a shame because barring the actual writing it was a great game

Can someone explain how his friendlies and wingman are able to shoot down the strigons? I play this mission and absolutely none of them are competent enough to even hit them.
Use your allied support commands. I think the game only mentions it once when played for the first time. Basically hold the D-pad up or down depending on if you want your allies to missile spam enemies in front or behind.
Its always fun if there is logs of aircraft with you against 5 huge flying ships
FAE bombs is good on killing big air targets too
i did not tried using it on SOLG and arkbird....
For the rocket luncher it is like other Ace combat or the rockets are more concentrate to the target . On Ace combat 4 the rocket can kill a huge number of target .

The only way I EVER got past this was like my 30th time and I used the A-10 with the FAEBs, little did I know an attacker performed better than my fighters

I would like to bring up the F-22 with its anti ground weapon you can take out an engine pod in one hit
Use the A-10 arm with air burst bomb and you can take that heavy cruiser very fast. Hit it with one air burst bomb and it will destroy all the AA, SAM on that cruiser.
I just dumped FAE bombs with an A-10 and spammed allied support when strigon team got on my tail

I always follow them out but they're invincible until they start maneuvering.
Well knowing this would have made this level a lot easier... I used normal missiles/AMAA6s.
My favorite way is with a A-10 with Fuel Air Bombs.

the cheesiness in the maneuverability of these fighters is too real. Pulling 17Gs like they think the body can handle more than 9...

『Yukikaze Flyes』 and a giant rail gun that fires supersonic torpedoes which destroys all planes in the area, and the giant rail gun built on a ice shelf that fires cruise missiles that disperse into many more, or the other giant Flying Fortress, or the giant tower that fired a laser.

The only thing that I don't like about the Aigaion is how it's powered by conventional jet fuel. In real life, aircraft carriers are powered by nuclear reactors and they are only around 300 meters in length, shouldn't a 900 meter airborne aircraft carrier be nuclear powered or at least use a source of energy that doesn't require refueling. And did that ship really explode 6:30, shouldn't that ship be able to crash into the ground in one price
The whole design just looks impractical to me, as well as how frontal sensors fail during refueling, and the seeming lack of weaponry leaves it far too vulnerable, even with strigon defending it

While hearing what the enemy had to say was funny at times, it never really made sense to me that you could pick up the ENEMY's radio chatter on what seems like OPEN radio frequencies. Generally, if you can hear your enemy, then THEY can hear you as well. Has no one in Strangereal ever heard of "operational security"?
