  • Dear friends
Time flies, without realizing it I’ve already posted close to 70 videos in this one and a half year. I must say it with was fun when I first started but it’s getting quite a chore now since I’m running dry of places to feature and perhaps my scripts are not getting any more compelling. Admittedly good feedbacks from you motivate me tremendously. It’s mainly your support that inspires me to do better. Thank you and see you in the next video

I live in Kajang since 2002 and i dont even know the history or good places to eat. When i asked around, i was given two recommendation - haji samuri and hong kong lat thong. Your video is so informative and no one legit can say much when they jus watched in their pj and munching cookies. You rock! And those -ve comments, jus flush it down.

Another great video on Msia street food. You have invested a lot of hard work and time in researching and editing, etc. I don't know how you did it.......I supposed this is your passion. Thanks to your wife as well. I have left Msia many, many years ago. In the 70"s when I was in KL, Kajang was like a kampung. There was only a 2-lane highway to get there. Of course, now things are completely different.

Hi Uncle Lee, I always enjoy watching your video with especially the introduction part about history of the place / food. It's a very good information. By the way I always have a doubt in my mind about 香港猪肠粉。I always think that this is not right as I don't really see this type of 猪肠粉 in Hong Kong. In fact if you search for 广式猪肠粉 it seems to be appearing the same 猪肠粉type (the 广式 seems to be appearing as 广东,广州式). I have an impression that because of the pronunciation of 广 is very similar with 港 in Cantonese. That's why people slowly saying this as 香港猪肠粉. Would you able to confirm this ? Elmo, another great video. Historically, satay is from Indonesia, but somehow Malaysia satay taste better. Putera satay is a tourist attraction because the upper floor is an art gallery. Satay Willy and Satay Haji Samuri is anytime better Putera satay. Satay has to be made by Malay to taste better, Putera is a Chinese owned, a branch out from Restoran Malaysia previously. I do not eat Chinese nasi lemak too.
The Kajang wet market food stalls is on the upper floor but it is not worth mentioning.
Elmo is right about Cendol Tokong, only the cendol is good, any other food is so so only, the cendol is better than SS15. Whenever I am having the SS15 rojak, I will always forgo the sub--standard cendol. Not sure anybody realise how inferior the cendol is, looking at the crowd. The rojak did the crowd pulling.

Let's reflect on some of your complaints received:
    1. Uncle Lee speak Cantonese instead of speaking mainland Mandarin.
    2. Uncle Lee is a braggart / show-off / pretentious for making videos of places he visits.
    3. Uncle Lee is a bad food critic as he makes judgement based on one bite.
    4. Uncle Lee sucks because he never featured my favourite food joint.
    5. Uncle Lee dresses poorly, he should be more dapper for the camera.
If your inbox is full of these level of complaints, just tip them into the sampah. Taking up 2 minutes to address such complaints is just making the vitriolic jerks more gleeful to make your life more miserable.
I understand your disappointment with your viewership numbers compared to Dancing Bacons, Food Hunter, etc. I don't think its fair to compare you to ASMR channels, they cater for a different experience, a visual experience; your's is a more informative variety. But that being said, maybe you want to try going into the ASMR type videos too if you have the right set-up. Maybe that can be your B-roll footage, a separate video that accompanies each week episode, less edited to give us your POV.
Your core viewers enjoy and look forward to your content like a friend making personal recommendations, and giving us heads-up to look elsewhere besides the over commercialised (tourist trap) type (eg. 10:36 and 12:38) and the overlooked gems.
Thank you again for another week of food recommendations, keep it up.

@@malaysiafood328 I understand your intention, yet like I said what I mentioned was let's hunt... Simply means like treasure hunt, discover something unexpected. It's an interactive comment, which I don't understand how it became so sensitive to you. We're here to share the fun, not here to create hate, hope you'll agree with me.
