I hate this representation bullshit, but I like the Swann queen ship because there both Henry's mom,and I love the concept of a biological and Adopted parents coming together trough their Child.
SwanQueen has been my ship from the pilot episode. The chemistry between Lana & Jen (Regina & Emma) is explosive. Not only is their relationship (along with their son) the cornerstone of the show but, It's my opinion, that it is also the best story. Their relationship and the repercussions of it would serve up enough drama that they would never have to visit another horrible CGI infested world/realm ever again. Holidays would be a hoot! I simply find it far more interesting than any other pairing on the show. However, now that we are here in S6 and I see how these writers write romance, I'd be plenty happy for them to keep their grubby little pencils off my SwanQueen. Fandom does it better.
SwanQueen is the only ship I have really ever gotten into. I think that it is very easy to see a good healthy paring between these two women. Both are trying to be the best versions of themselves but also have always struggled with finding love and trusting in it. I thought outlaw queen seemed forced and dull. And captainswan hurts my soul because it's so cookie cutter as far as relationships go. But that's my opinion. I have given up hope this will ever be a canon but am so thankful to all the awesome fan fic writers out there
Swanqueen is my favourite ship of all time. I loved the viewpoint on this but it delves far deeper than most realise. Although they say that its now how the show intended, there are so many conflicting arguments about that. For instance they parallel the clothes they wear with snowing (a true love canon ship) they have phrases openly used throughout such as "true love is magic" and then show scenes such as emma touching Regina which jump starts her magic or the multiple times their magic isn't strong enough until they use them together. (Weird how none of the other ships include two magical beings) also "love is sacrifice" something that Regina and Emma continuously do throughout the seasons... there's so many more parallels/hints/scenes or moments that show this also, but it would take all day! it's why there is the subject of queer baiting. I honestly believe that the writers know exactly what they are doing in terms of SQ (especially as all swanqueen centric episodes are directly written by the creators, unlike the CS/OQ episodes which tend to be written by others) Just elaborating as it wasn't really covered. It all goes much deeper. I don't think it'll happen but I'm imaginative enough to re write the ending if it wasn't to my liking! I agree that people should ship who they wish to ship, I feel a bit sad for people who don't see the swanqueen ship, as I think it's a truly beautiful one, regardless of who you ship.. it's sad if it is not acknowledged. Thanks for this video, if anything I hope people will understand a bit more about why we are so passionate about this ship :)
I ship Swanqueen because, ultimately, it makes a lot of sense. They're powerful together. With the two of them, their magic transcends realms. I also like their gradual relationship of mortal enemies to opening up their vulnerabilities to one another. Their story is just a satisfying slowburn with a happy ending waiting to happen (but sadly did not have).
SQ shipper here! And proud! I ship them because they make SO much sense to me, and the evolution of their relationship and how their magic works together. They complete each other so beautifully and have a beautiful relationship.
You're so perfectly diplomatic, I'm so glad you're addressing these issues without malice and without opinion. I'm so glad there are normal people in fandoms!
This got a lot deeper than I was expecting! Also Swan Queen is my OTP, because they have major chemistry and obviously care for each other (and would be like the hottest, most badass couple)
Been a SwanQueen shipper from the word go, and it was pretty much what kept me going through season 5 (after which I quit because things just got too ridiculous). In season 1 I merely enjoyed the chemistry and tension between Emma and Regina, while being fully aware that they were enemies at that point. Season 2 was what got me rooting for them in earnes (and even, for a while, seriously believe that this could happen) - Regina's redemption arc and Emma starting to confront her trust issues fit together so beautifully, and Jmo and Lana played off of each other so well... I'm still crying about what could have been. Oh well.
Thanks so much for covering Swan Queen and putting so much work into showing different perspectives on it. I'm a definite shipper. It's my one and only OTP. No other ship compares for me - not even the ones I am also genuinely passionate about. In my opinion there's just no other ship that fits as perfectly as these two do. And I think there's a lot of different aspects playing into it. First, of course, the whole yin/yang type of relationship they have going on. They perfectly complement each other, which makes them such an amazing team. At the same time, though, as you also mentioned in your video, they are very alike in a lot of ways, which makes them understand each other way better than any other character on the show seems to (just my opinion here, I know that CS or OQ shippers would think otherwise and I totally accept that kind of interpretation, even though I disagree). Sharing a son obviously also connects them in a very special way. Henry was the first person to believe in Regina, just like Emma did later on, despite her past, which was huge for her. And from everything we can piece together about the 10 years Regina spent raising Henry alone, she did in fact love him and only wanted the best for him, even though things escalated once he found out about the curse and brought Emma to town. She even put his happiness over upholding the curse way before Emma even came around, when she found out about him being the saviors child and making herself forget about it for the sake of being able to raise Henry without their relationship being tainted by her knowledge of his biological mother undoing her curse at some later point. By giving Henry her all, she cared for Emma's biological child the way she herself was scared wouldn't be able to, thereby giving him the life Emma had hoped he would have when she gave him away. Of course things got messy when Emma came around and Henry ended up right in the middle a couple of times and some of Regina's choices back then to try and uphold the curse were pretty damn horrible and pretty much unexcusable. But the beauty about it is how once Emma came to town, she set things into motion for Regina to be able to start owning up to her past and working on becoming a better person. And while this process was full of setbacks and pain for her and she's still suffering because of the loss of Robin and her internal conflict (which is now external, I guess), I'm convinced that this entire process is still part of Emma "bringing back the happy endings" as Henry told her she was destined to in season 1. And ultimately, what better way to tell the story than to have Emma and Regina slowly go from antagonists to reluctant allies and co-parents to sorta friends, then actual friends and basically family while never quite finding a true love that lasts, only for them to realize at the very end that their happy ending was right next to them the entire time. Supporting them. Protecting them. Believing in them. That all of the pain and suffering they both experienced along the way, losing their loved ones and doubting that someone could ever truly love them again, was actually all part of a bigger story that led them to find true happiness and fulfillment in each other, to a degree to which they were never able to feel it with their previous lovers. And that is why I ship Swan Queen and don't just see them as friends. Their story could be the best modern love story I have ever seen portrayed on screen, if the writers were just courageous enough to go for it. And idk what to think about the intentionality of making SQ look romantic or not. I mean yes, the writers / creators did state that they're not doing anything on purpose. However, if you look at the actual scenes Emma and Regina have together, the show keeps paralleling them (very blatantly) to actual established true love couples (i.e. Snowing, Rumbelle, Ruby Slippers) and pretty much every single definition of "true love" made on the show fits them to a T. Especially on the nose are the ones that involve "magic" (i.e. "Love, true love, is magic. And not just any magic - the most powerful magic of all." - Regina, 1x18; and "It's the most powerful magic in the world. The only magic powerful enough to transcend realms and break any curse." - Rumple, 1x22), because if you take it literally, Swan Queen's combined magic is stronger than anything else on the show. They were able to get the hat to work in the season 2 premiere (transcending realms, because of one little touch), destroyed the failsafe at the end of the season that was supposed to be unstoppable ("You may not be strong enough, but maybe WE are."), defeated several strong enemies throughout the seasons and even broke through a curse that Hades himself (a god) had created to prevent them from getting back from the underworld. On top of that, there's the quotes about sacrifice (i.e. "That's what true love is. Sacrifice. Giving up everything for the person you love." - Regina, 5x21; and similarly also Mulan 2x01) and not only do they risk their own lives to save each other constantly, but Emma even made one of the biggest sacrifices of the entire show so far by taking on the darkness instead of Regina and letting it turn her into the dark one instead. (Which paralleled another couple, by the way, Lancelot and Guinevere who ended up in almost the exact same situation - Lancelot almost being consumed by the darkness, Guinevere fighting it, saying it can't have him - except in that case, they actually kiseed afterwards. ;) But anyway, there's tons more of things to consider and analyse and I could go on here forever talking about them, but this is getting way out of hand length-wise, so I'm gonna wrap it up now. If you're still reading this, thanks again, for both the video and dealing with my ramblings. My point is: Keep doing what you're doing, I really enjoyed watching your video and got inspired by it and I hope you're having a great day. :)
estou lendo e concordando , 23/09/2024, desde o primeiro dia elegi SQ . É real nas historias de ficção romantica ,regina e emma , é a mais solida , humana e sensivel , totalmente ao amor . não foi canone , mas para mim é , na minha teimosia dos 78 anos , mulher , mãe . avó . swanqueen forever . Obrigada @NamelessAcquaintance , seu texto me alegrou , estou lendo fics SQ , ainda , e me emociono , com o true love. beijos.
I never really shipped outlaw queen but I was a die hard Captain Swan fan until the end of season 5. the relationship seemed kinda forced and eventually found SwanQueen. I'm now a die hard shipper and really passionate about it. I also ship Captain Charming. I think it's cute and works as a couple. I could honestly ramble a out any ship on the show. it is my bae.
As someone who watched Season 1 without any knowledge of Shipping or even Fanfic in general, I watched it wondering what that certain something was about Emma and Regina.. I just could never put my finger on what made their relationship different yet intriguing... I grew up in the American South and basically Heteronormativity is the only acceptable Normal so them being Gay for Each Other never not one time crossed my mind... So when I saw my first SQ fanfic I was like Whhhaaaa?? But I decided to give it a read to figure out Wtf this even was... Then BOOM... It all fit together... Things finally made sense... They had been flirting this whole time and that's what my Everything's Straight Programmed Brain couldn't compute... I think even if you don't ship SQ you have to admit to yourself had Emma or Regina been a dude then SQ would have happened... Maybe not a permanent ship but it would have happened... And the people just refusing to acknowledge it is just so frustrating I can hardly deal with it... Plus this show in general has an aversion to anything that isn't Straight really... And before people start shouting "Buhh buhhh Ruby and Dorothy" we all know that was Blatant Tokenism and nothing more... They were a random ONE ep ship to get people off their backs and we have never not even one time heard from or about them again... They queerbaited people Season 1 hard to gain viewers from the LGBT audience and they've been dragging them along ever since... it's ridiculous
the reason why i stay away from the fandom on tumblr and so on: ship wars the reason i'm putting up with ouat's bullshit: swan queen nice video. love your content in general
SwanQueen has many many moments building a relationship romantic or not....it actually reminds me very strongly of Xena and Gabrielle....many people saw a connection between them from episode one and their friendship arc is amazing, yet the romance was also palpatable! Only because they have romantic capability it doesnt mean they arent friends. Plus boys who are just friends get shipped all the time without much ramification. Nonetheless I think this ship is fun and has SO MUCH POTENTIAL.....and who knows maybe we get surprised in the end and they end up single or even together :)
I don't think with ships like SwanQueen you can simply say "I SHIP IT" or "I DON'T SHIP IT". This is an interesting pairing of two strong female characters and their relationship goes just beyond them being together or not. In the essence, they're two women with their own complicated backstories whose path cross and they build this relationship over time that grows as they go through challenges in their adventures. Howsoever way you ship it (or not) is entirely based on your personal interpretation and preference. What I always say is LET PEOPLE SHIP WHAT THEY WANT TO SHIP and let's not burn each other out over our fandoms.
Well, this was interesting. Despite being more into crack pairings than canon one, the potential of Swan Queen totally flew over my head. Not that I'm going to ship them romantically now - I prefer them as platonic friends - but at least I understand why people are into it.
Yaku I'm glad it's made you see it, please look more into it though... have a look at the parallels and the set ups, honestly there are times that I've asked myself "how are they NOT going to end up together?" My cousin was the same as you, when I mentioned it to him he was like omg it hadn't even crossed my mind and now it's so obvious 😂😂
That was actually a really good one, it raised a lot of questions I've been asking myself about that pairing and all of the ships in general. Thank you for making it, it was awesome
I am a Swen... have been since season one I love this video because it's true we do get bullied by other ships (mainly OQ and CS)but yet we have so much goodness and love for our ship we has fanfiction turned into books and we continue to be stronger
I really love SwanQueen. I'm not even sure why, I just really like them together? But I also like them as friends, so I won't be upset now matter how the show ends up going (unless they bring frozen back. Then I'll stop watching).
YAY!!!!! My weekend has been made. This video was informative and awesome as always. Once Upon a Time has been favorite show for a while and seeing this makes me very happy. In this video you mentioned shipping across different shows/movies. Maybe you could do a Basics video on why that is.
One response to why not CaptainSwan over SwanQueen...Hook got written into the story- as did Hood- after SwanQueen was noticed and supported. Also Fate Enchanted Forest as oppose to Neverland, and I know they are all connected in OUAT but they are doing everything they can to not make SwanQueen happen as oppose to it being canon. It would shock no one and would make so much sense even in Rumples books.
I loved this video. It is very refreshing and should be shown to all shippers (oncers or not) that have a tendency to judge and berate people whos opinions dont match. Thank you
I have always shipped Swanqueen and I know that they probably aren't endgame but I will always love the ship. They have sooo much chemistry and they could really be great for each other.
I've always shipped SQ and I've respected and a knowledged CS (in the beginning before hook changed from better to worse). i appreciate the dynamic of acknowledging each other's past and not letting that define each other, helping each other grow and build, not just for themselves but for their son. Emma can help regina relax and enjoy new things, Regina can comfort Emma's insecurities and help her mature in certain areas emma never had to confront. i also enjoy the idea of them talking about their past with no shame and becoming comfortable with it, as well as emma forgiving regina. The thought of emma waking up to apple pancakes one morning and regina waking up to a sugary breakfast then criticizing Emma's unhealthy eating habits: it's cute. they both share similar demons and they're both independent. they know when to be strong and when they can both be weak around each other. that's why i love swan queen, i see what i want in a relationship. stability, strength, production, equality, and love.
I don’t ship swan queen, I think they work well as friends. However, I think Regina should’ve been bi/pan because it would’ve been more interesting in Daniel was a woman as they could’ve added homophobia to the plot which would’ve added to Regina’s self-hatred and journey to acceptance across the series.
Although emma and hook lied to eachother and Emma and Regina did too but i feel like Emma and Hooks lies we're BIG lies when Regina and Emmas we're a lot smaller and that's part of the reason why i prefer Swan Queen over Captain Swan
Even as an outsider to the OUAT fandom, I know this ship exists. People ship it enough for someone who has never watched the show to know it happens. Also, as a fanfic reader who doesn't read much femmeslash (because as a straight woman I don't care for lesbian erotica), I do hope femmeslash always has a place in fandom, for totally intellectual reasons.
I love Swanqueen in the way of them being mothers, but not lovers. They are terrific together in the sense of partners, but not 'partners'. I guess I just never saw the chemistry everyone else saw in the first couple seasons until I found out about the ship later on and looked back. I was a bit oblivious, I admit, but I got really into Captain Swan anyway and I knew I wouldn't fall out of that worm hole any time soon. While I wasn't super into Regina's and Robin's relationship, however, I was happy she had someone who was finally there for her, so it made it all worth it for me. So, although, this pairing could never possibly be endgame, I appreciate the Fandom being so into it and even the actors and actresses for showing their support. I hope there can be some more representation for the LGBTQ+ community in the future that can have characters like Emma and Regina to back up and see together so easily.
me too and i love robin and regina together but i feel like she had more chemistry with emma and they weren't even together so that should say something
My favorite femslash ships are: Karma/Amy (Faking it) Amy/Lauren (Faking it) Harley/Ivy (DC) Santanna/Brittany (Glee) Rachel/Quinn (Glee) Korra/Asami (LoK) Sharron/Natasha (Marvel) Maria/Natasha (Marvel) Harley/Natasha (DC/Marvel) Peggy/Angie (Agent Carter) Robin/Lily (HIMYM) Anna/Rapunzel (Tangled/Frozen) Sam/Carly (ICarly) Jade/Tori (Victorious) Jade/Cat (Victorious) Trina/Cat (Victorious) Penny/Amy (BBT) I think I have more, but I kind of stick to slash pairings, but these are the obvious ones. I was a really hardcore Karma/Amy shipper since the beginning of the show and I was very dissapointed by how it ended. I didn't count my Steven Universe ships since a lot of people say that they are gems, not women.
Tammy it's an amazing yt web series that just ended. Carmilla is a story about two lesbians. one is a vampire, the other is human. love it because the ship is cute and the story is set in a university. am 20 so i love stories that have college aged characters. each episode is 5 minutes and there are 30 episodes per season. it has 3 seasons. it's rly rly good. just type carmilla into youtube and the series comes up. Ah, now that I've talked so much am going to go and watch it all over again.
Holy crap I love your videos and honestly swan queen wasn't on my radar until I dived deeper into the ouat Tumblr fandom. I love how you talked about how people get so aggressive about swan queen. While I do enjoy Hook as a character and I liked outlaw queen for a while I don't ship either heterosexual pairings anymore. But I think it's amazing how you don't ship shame. Could you please talk about Fuffy? Keep up the good work!
I have watched over five seasons of this show, and never once saw any romantic sparks flying between these two. I'm not one to shy away from same-sex pairings, but their scenes together never fostered any sexual or romantic tension. Granted, pretty much every pairing in this show has better romantic chemistry than Snow and Charming, but that's because they're so good and pure that they're boring. However, the mainstay ships of Captain Swan, Rumbelle, and even Ruby x Mulan are a lot clearer and identifiable than this ship. It's just not something that ever reached out and made itself known.
I still ship Swan Queen. Always have and always will. Even if it's never gonna happen. For example OQ: They only got together because Regina saw Hood's Lion Tattoo, before that in the Enchated Foredt they didn't get a long at all. Of course you can ship what you want if you like it. 😄 It's just my opinion!
Are you still considering doing a Zutara video? Ever since you mentioned it in the Korra & Asami video, I can't stop hoping for it each vid you put out xD Thanks so much for this video though, I think you addressed a lot of important points that needed to be stated!
An interesting topic you could discuss (love your videos!) would maybe be Phan/ Larry Stylinson etc. -> popular ships of real people and all the issues/ topics around it
can I suggest a second video on Hannigram to talk about the A.us? i have never been in a fandom before where people would take all the characters actor have played and shipp them together! Hannigram has so many! Spacedogs, BasicChickens, Charhann, etc
this is such a friendly comments section! all the stuff on twitter is so aggressive, I'm a SQ stan AF but i hate the hatred that can be found so often between all of the fandoms! this was a brill video, explaining people's views without actually casting judgement! well done x
I ship Captain Swan, but I love how far Emma and Regina have come in their personal development as well as their relationship with each other. I thinkthey have learned and are still learning a great deal from each other.
SwanQueen won something??? :)))) If I wasn't sooo mad at OUAT writers for many things they have done I'd start watching again haha :) In this case I'm a realist but a shipper is a shipper forever :) Don't worry I'll never forget who I will always ship in Harry Potter :)
This was great! I agree - Swan Queen is a fun ship and I enjoy it XD Since we're on the topic of 'Once Upon A Time' do you think you could do a Panry video? You know, Pan and Henry? That was a good one for a while ahah XD
Their not my main ship but I can see were people ship them. I actually kind of like the idea. Do you know any Rumbelle and QueenSwan fics? Where both ships are represented.
I don't watch OUAT, but I've been stung with the "It's never been a thing" BS before, when it's as you stated totally a thing. It's such a rude and dismissive comment to throw at the things that other people like, and it's usually motivated by general dislike toward another ship, or worse by love for a rival ship. The thing is, these type of comments only serve to create a bigger rivalry between the different fandoms, as I personally find myself growing to hate whatever ship the people telling me "it's NOT a thing" seem to support, even if I was OK with it before. As a long WonderBat shipper, I've seen this type of comment A LOT, event though WonderBat is not only a "thing" but is also canon. Things have gotten worse after BvS boosted the popularity of the ship, and it's really sad to see people reacting that way to seeing people enjoying and supporting things, simply because they personally don't approve of. It's the pettiness of it that annoys me. The idea that there are other people out there enjoying different things can prove to be too much for some people to handle it seems.
I'm not fond of fallacies or moral arguments for or against ships. But then again, I dislike ship wars and think that the most vigorous it should get is ship essays from ten years ago. I'm very much a ship and let ship kind of girl who thinks multi-shipping (and polyamory) makes for a happier fandom experience. Though my ire is definitely raised in some fandoms when people declaim that some ships aren't 'real' because they're never going to be canon. 1. People ship it, thus making it a real thing. 2. Canon has never stopped shippers. 3. It's canon, not a cannon. It's not a weapon to be used. Though with the rise of the acknowledgement of fandom by the show/producers/directors/writers/the media at large it has increasingly been used by fans as a trump card of superiority over non-canon ships, or used as a way to subdue non-canon ships from critiquing canon ones. Yes, canon ships have always caused ripples in fandom and fandom muggles have gone 'but there's a canon ship?' when faced with non-canon pairings, but the popularity of using canon as a fire extinguisher to quell the flames of all non-canon ships seems pretty recent. Which leads into some pretty heavy arguments about whether the author is dead or alive and results in me being grumpy because all I wanted to do was read fic and have fun. Btw I do ship SwanQueen. Mostly as part of the Swan-Mills Family dynamic because I love them as friends, I love them as co-parents and I would love the series to end with them as platonic partners raising Henry together, romance between them optional but welcome, and romance with other characters EXTREMELY optional and largely incidental. I also ship it because holy cow the similarities and parallels. And a little bit of spite, because I hated Hook on sight with how obviously he was going to end up with Emma.
it's a good ship and they could possible make each other happy. The first the first same sex pairing I did learn about from this show was Captain Hook and prince charming.
I ship SQ because it is blatantly obvious to me, but I think the problem in the fan community is the attitude of some swanqueen shippers . I think the problem is that some people are way too passionate and it comes off as anger. A lot of them tend to come off as rude and overly defensive towards people who do not see the ship calling them homophobes and whatnot for no reason other than that they don't ship the two. I think they unknowingly put this stereotype on the rest of us that we are some aggressive mean people when that's not the case. And it is probably due to the fact that they are so used to people being rude to such an idea of two women together, that they react before listening to what is really being said in these situations. We are all fans. Whether you ship SQ, CS, SF, OQ we are all the same community and it shouldn't be this shipping war.
All I have to say is where I can see the chemistry between Regina and Emma and I do believe they would make a great couple, I prefer them more as friends. I think there friendship is wonderful and I have enjoyed watching it grow from the start of the show. I also prefer CaptainSwan and OutlawQueen as my 2 major ships. Just because I don't support SwanQueen though doesn't mean I don't think of it as an interesting take on the relationship between Emma and Regina. I just always found their friendship to be way cooler in my opinion and I have supported that dynamic between them sense the Beginning.
Honestly, it took until season 2 maybe? Basically when Regina started her redemption and her and Emma were starting to form a more positive relationship that I REALLY started shipping them. Becoming my dominant ship, though with show again it's like being in a candy store in regards to shipping.
Honestly I just want Regina to be happy whether that means she is with someone or not.
The Shelander damn that was deep.
Me too. She deserved Robin though.
yeah, i also really loved her with Ribin and even with Facilier
I love SwanQueen. They have real story, development, legacy, bonds and chemistry. They would be the real equal respectful LGBT representation.
🤨
Fandom does it better.
i agree. the villain and the hero being true loves would've been refreshing and different and it really would've tied the story together as a whole
I want to hug you so much cuz yes you got it on point!
I've been shipping Swan Queen since day one tbh
i was on tumblr and found out about that swan queen show that turned up to be called ouat, i dunno
nisha31b Same🤘
nisha31b same 👌🏻
nisha31b 😊
nisha31b omg same gurl
SwanQueen is the only ship I have really ever gotten into. I think that it is very easy to see a good healthy paring between these two women. I liked outlaw queen but captainswan, legit did not go with the plot at all
you forgot to mention how hook and hood are basically bad copies of regina and emma, sharing a lot of the same qualities/tropes.
davidmtgregorio wow lol that's not a bad theory, I can definitely see that
davidmtgregorio ragina is emmas step grandma
davidmtgregorio thaaaaaaank you!! been freaking saying that for ages!!
I'd never thought of that but I can see it!! make sense why Hook and Regina butt heads a lot!
and how they came in, in later seasons
Just elaborating as it wasn't really covered. It all goes much deeper.
I don't think it'll happen but I'm imaginative enough to re write the ending if it wasn't to my liking!

Thanks for this video, if anything I hope people will understand a bit more about why we are so passionate about this ship :)
Aidyl14 i totally agree!!
Aidyl14 agreed
Aidyl14 i
Aidyl14 It is the greatest bullshit ever
another parallel is charming and snow say how they will always find each other and regina has said the same thing to emma in one of the episodes
I ship SQ because I realy like they together, but in end i just want Regina to be happy
I ship Swanqueen because, ultimately, it makes a lot of sense. They're powerful together. With the two of them, their magic transcends realms.
(Which paralleled another couple, by the way, Lancelot and Guinevere who ended up in almost the exact same situation - Lancelot almost being consumed by the darkness, Guinevere fighting it, saying it can't have him - except in that case, they actually kiseed afterwards. ;)
But anyway, there's tons more of things to consider and analyse and I could go on here forever talking about them, but this is getting way out of hand length-wise, so I'm gonna wrap it up now. If you're still reading this, thanks again, for both the video and dealing with my ramblings. My point is: Keep doing what you're doing, I really enjoyed watching your video and got inspired by it and I hope you're having a great day. :)

regina in my opinion is honestly one of the most complex characters i've ever watched because of the actresses extreme talent
Captain Charming is the best thing in that show, lets be honest.
Sis I shipped Captain Charming from the Neverland arc
Captain Charming is cool too
As someone who watched Season 1 without any knowledge of Shipping or even Fanfic in general, I watched it wondering what that certain something was about Emma and Regina..
They queerbaited people Season 1 hard to gain viewers from the LGBT audience and they've been dragging them along ever since... it's ridiculous
...and then this was said. Thank you. So much truth on this words.
It's my OTP
Momo Pendragon same
the reason why i stay away from the fandom on tumblr and so on: ship wars
the reason i'm putting up with ouat's bullshit: swan queen
nice video. love your content in general
"This isn't supernatural" BURRRRRRRRNNN
IKRRRRR
Right? Obviously, Emma and Killian are together. We watched that relationship develop and there wasn’t anything between Emma and Regina.
I'm not a hardcore swanqueen shipper but they are DEFINITELY a thing. You'd have to be blind not to see the potential there
Swanqueen IS a thing wether you like it or not 🌞
If Emma were a boy, SwanQueen would have been a canon from the beginning.
Amen.
Preach
Now I wanna see a captain Swan video so I can squee and fangirl. I know you do all the ships you cover justice, and i love it!
This is the perfect pairing and no one can proof me otherwise
Well, this was interesting. Despite being more into crack pairings than canon one, the potential of Swan Queen totally flew over my head. Not that I'm going to ship them romantically now - I prefer them as platonic friends - but at least I understand why people are into it.
Yaku I'm glad it's made you see it, please look more into it though... have a look at the parallels and the set ups, honestly there are times that I've asked myself "how are they NOT going to end up together?" My cousin was the same as you, when I mentioned it to him he was like omg it hadn't even crossed my mind and now it's so obvious 😂😂
Regina was my favorite character even in the beginning when she was the evil queen , not because she was "symphetic", but because she was awesome.
Yay thanks for all the support :) What ship do you guys want to see next??
There are so many shows that is hard to choose one, but I'll go for L and Light from Death Note 💖
ShippersGuideToTheGalaxy you need to do phan! I'm surprised you haven't done it yet, tbh!
JOSHLER!!!
ShippersGuideToTheGalaxy maybe you could talk about some gaming ships such as five nights at Freddy's bonica (bonnie and chica) thnx 😄
klace (keith x lance) from voltron would be amazing. and especially with the next season coming out next week
Aww I love SwanQueen :) Thanks for the vid :)
That was actually a really good one, it raised a lot of questions I've been asking myself about that pairing and all of the ships in general. Thank you for making it, it was awesome
I am a Swen... have been since season one
I love this video because it's true we do get bullied by other ships (mainly OQ and CS)but yet we have so much goodness and love for our ship we has fanfiction turned into books and we continue to be stronger
Rocio Ponce I'm an OQ but I have nothing against SQ mostly bc I'm more on Regina being happy w/ herself and chill for once.
Solution: ship Robin and Hook and all your OQ and CS problems will be solved! We have Swan Queen and Robin Hook.
Please do a Merlin/Arthur video
Omg yes please!! I just started watching that show and I'm on S2
I really love SwanQueen. I'm not even sure why, I just really like them together? But I also like them as friends, so I won't be upset now matter how the show ends up going (unless they bring frozen back. Then I'll stop watching).
Swan queen as friends I ship but not in a relationship ship because there are more a help to each other when there friends
i ship swanqueen now after this Video😂
welcome to the ship fam! ;)
I ship SwanQueen! Thnx so much for this video! It mean a lot.
14:29 This isn't Supernatural
Anybody else say 'I know right' at this line?
I loved this video. It is very refreshing and should be shown to all shippers (oncers or not) that have a tendency to judge and berate people whos opinions dont match. Thank you
that stucky art at 7:35 is so damn nice
To me, people who shut down other people's opinions need a lesson in maturity. It is possible to disagree and be civil.
I love swanqueen it’s one of my favorite pairings! As a queer woman i appreciate the found family aspect of swanqueen. There are So many good fics!
ABC’s Once Upon a Time is finally over but I do like this ship while it last!
I don’t ship swan queen, I think they work well as friends. However, I think Regina should’ve been bi/pan because it would’ve been more interesting in Daniel was a woman as they could’ve added homophobia to the plot which would’ve added to Regina’s self-hatred and journey to acceptance across the series.
im a huge swanqueen shipper but if we cant get them to be real on the show might as well have some good representation
Swanqueen nation!
I ship SwanQueen, they have more character moments together and opposites attract!
my otp 💗 they're the best ship on ouat, I seriously ship them since the pilot ksjksjsks 💗
Although emma and hook lied to eachother and Emma and Regina did too but i feel like Emma and Hooks lies we're BIG lies when Regina and Emmas we're a lot smaller and that's part of the reason why i prefer Swan Queen over Captain Swan
SwanFire and OutlawQueen is my OTP , but I also LOVE SwanQueen! ♥
Swan Queen is fucking everything and will go down as the most under-utilised ship that had the most potential *sigh*
It was reading swan/queen fanfic that got me started watching the show.
That's a terrible reason to watch this show.
Okay but here’s my problem. I’m a swan queen shipper AND an outlaw queen shipper.
me too and i love robin and regina together but i feel like she had more chemistry with emma and they weren't even together so that should say something
My favorite femslash ships are:
Karma/Amy (Faking it)
Amy/Lauren (Faking it)
Harley/Ivy (DC)
Santanna/Brittany (Glee)
Rachel/Quinn (Glee)
Korra/Asami (LoK)
Sharron/Natasha (Marvel)
Maria/Natasha (Marvel)
Harley/Natasha (DC/Marvel)
Peggy/Angie (Agent Carter)
Robin/Lily (HIMYM)
Anna/Rapunzel (Tangled/Frozen)
Sam/Carly (ICarly)
Jade/Tori (Victorious)
Jade/Cat (Victorious)
Trina/Cat (Victorious)
Penny/Amy (BBT)
I think I have more, but I kind of stick to slash pairings, but these are the obvious ones. I was a really hardcore Karma/Amy shipper since the beginning of the show and I was very dissapointed by how it ended. I didn't count my Steven Universe ships since a lot of people say that they are gems, not women.
Tammy have you watched carmilla. hollstein is for life.
No, what's it about?
Tammy it's an amazing yt web series that just ended. Carmilla is a story about two lesbians. one is a vampire, the other is human. love it because the ship is cute and the story is set in a university. am 20 so i love stories that have college aged characters. each episode is 5 minutes and there are 30 episodes per season. it has 3 seasons. it's rly rly good. just type carmilla into youtube and the series comes up.
Ah, now that I've talked so much am going to go and watch it all over again.
That sounds intersting. I'll be sure to check it out :)
Tammy no Clexa
I can totally see how people can see it that way but I always just felt it was bonding with step grandmother lol
I still love this video so much.
Keep up the good work!
even though I stopped watching the show I still ship swanqueen
3:39 I remember watching this scene and SCREAMING. That's the moment I started shipping Swan Queen
Are you still considering doing a Zutara video? Ever since you mentioned it in the Korra & Asami video, I can't stop hoping for it each vid you put out xD Thanks so much for this video though, I think you addressed a lot of important points that needed to be stated!
Omg yes, I love Zutara
Great vid like always!
YESSSS SWAN QUEEN FOREVER
Of course ima swan queen shipper like oml there so cute together don’t even lie like ahhhhhh pls help XD
This isn't Supernatural-GOLD!
Loving Swan queen as an alternative possibility to the story. Great video!!
An interesting topic you could discuss (love your videos!) would maybe be Phan/ Larry Stylinson etc. -> popular ships of real people and all the issues/ topics around it
Swanqueen has been my otp since day one. In my opinion, they are each others REAL true love. It makes
The only reason I watched the show was to see these two beautiful women share the screen time. I do ship it ♥️
can I suggest a second video on Hannigram to talk about the A.us? i have never been in a fandom before where people would take all the characters actor have played and shipp them together! Hannigram has so many! Spacedogs, BasicChickens, Charhann, etc
this is such a friendly comments section! all the stuff on twitter is so aggressive, I'm a SQ stan AF but i hate the hatred that can be found so often between all of the fandoms! this was a brill video, explaining people's views without actually casting judgement! well done x
Can we have a sleepover? and most of them are from Cs and outlaw queen shippers
That's not true, I see bad things equally from both sides
I ship Captain Swan, but I love how far Emma and Regina have come in their personal development as well as their relationship with each other. I thinkthey have learned and are still learning a great deal from each other.
I shipping Swan Queen always and forever.
evil charming
You should do Keith x Lance (Klance) from Voltron Legendary defenders.
SwanQueen won something??? :)))) If I wasn't sooo mad at OUAT writers for many things they have done I'd start watching again haha :) In this case I'm a realist but a shipper is a shipper forever :)
Don't worry I'll never forget who I will always ship in Harry Potter :)
I love your videos. Could you please do one on Hollstein (Carmilla) or Sanvers (Super Girl)? Both interesting f/f couples.
I’m more into RedKansas (Rudy and Dorothy) even though it was short and I love that ship!!!
Kudos for that Zutara mention 😊😊😊
I completely agree with you.
Random_JMO_Stuff
I wish the fandom was all people like you.
I still ship them❤ swan Queen
I just love co parenting so much
Honestly, it took until season 2 maybe? Basically when Regina started her redemption and her and Emma were starting to form a more positive relationship that I REALLY started shipping them. Becoming my dominant ship, though with show again it's like being in a candy store in regards to shipping.
My otps are outlawqueen + swanqueen! Nice video. 💛
I love the idea of Alice from wonderland and Dorothy from oz getting together.
SWAN QUEEN FOR LIFE!!!! Also I always shipped Pan and Will Scarlet just for the hell-lols of it.
I've never subscribed to a channel so fast!!!!
Gotham- Edward/ Oswald. Tho I do love OUAT.
