Haven't been to Exmoor Steam Railway for many years now. Trevor and his son built the loco "Ashorne" for the railway at ashorne hall, which I drove on many occasions. I built the rolling stock and constructed the line as well.
I drove past the old Exmoor Steam Railway today. Its a real shame its no longer open to the public. I see you still have the South African Garretts just rusting out in the open. I wish they were still running and fully restored. :-(
As a kid I want to go on this railway, we drove to the gates but it was closed, maybe a private event was on? Anyway it sad ti hear that it has been closed to the public for good. I would Relish the chance to ride on the steam trains at Exmoor Steam Railway one day. Maybe someone can be kind. Cheers for the video to see what might have been
