Thanks for sharing your thoughts, ideas and videos. Feed bunk looks good. Nice to see the cows and corn, also looking good. Like the experiment you have going on, sounds like a good way to have happy cows. Have often seen a tractor tire used on the front of a tractor or such used to push the feed back in a bunk like you built. I think the ones that are allowed to rotate seem to work best. Might be something to think about making during the winter as a skid steer attachment. Often pondered if you could just pull a tire down thru the center on a cable but I’m guessing it probably wouldn’t work that well, maybe with a pulley anchor on one end so you pull it back and forth. Wishing you and your family the best.

You have one of the best recycling crews out there👍 applying molasses to the fodder and then wrapping it would be an interesting experiment.

Nice looking herd!:) We harvested our last corn (second of two fields, only had 30ac of corn) with 32% but we HAD to because after we harvested it and got the wheat in afterwards all fields are FULL of water.

What will you do with the little goats during the winter? Can they stay outside? I’m interested to see how the wrapped fodder bails turn out. Thanks for the update and video Travis!

Hi from oz Travis. What about heating the molasses. Will make it thinner so should soak in better.

What's your honest opinion on the Kuhn? Could you replace the deere with one?

How much of the old barn can you still use for cows to go into for winter weather protection?

Hey Travis, The cows still look good. Hope the syrup does what you want. The hey feeder looks like it will hold up. I hope and pray the crops do very well. Is a Kuhn bailer in the future? But being able to use one is nice. Take care, Take it Easy and Trust JESUS!!!!!!!!!!

Run a sucker rod in and out of the bales and the molasses should seep down easier.

Thanks for video. You talking about the store coming out and treating your bales with molasses brings back memories from when I was a kid of the truck coming to fill to fill up the molasses tanks in the pasture. Always a good smelling day when that happened.
Pretty cool demonstration as well of how tight the Kuhn made those bales with how the molasses just sat on top.
Hope y’all have a great and smooth harvest.
