He is more of a one touch pass ahead in the final 3rd of the opponents half, smooth deceptive runs kind of guy. As for his work rater, I think the English are used to players running around like an chicken with its head cut off and don't appreciate the subtlety and refine beauty of his game. Also, putting big name stars into positions of leadership i.e a fuck up is all on you and Ozil doesn't seem to function that way. I think he thrives when there is not so much pressure and have players around him that have a football IQ and not just football talent.
thats a good analysis actually. right now, arsenal doesnt play 1 2s. we used to have that give and go style with players like sanchez, carzola even Giroud lol. Now everyone in midfield just stays far apart and plays long passes waiting for a clear cut opportunity and if we are not clinical in those opportunities, the whole team is told they played bad. we need more spanish midfielders who are not afraid to pass and move quick
