Boyang's interactions with yuzuru and other athletes looked so true and spontaneous. Fellow athletes and friends having fun. So enjoyable. I feel ashamed for those people criticizing Jin for taking selfies or posting them. That's crazy
Thanks Jin for being a great athlete and a normal person

Jin Boyang is a great skater, often cited for the best example of quad Lutz and displays great sportsmanship, on and off the rink. As he said, skaters are competing and are rivals on the rink, but clearly can be friends off the ice. The video posted of the gala rehearsal and gala performance was a lovely record of people enjoying their skating and letting off a bit of post competition steam with friends. After all, the Olympic motto - Faster, Higher, Stronger, Together, the last word most recently added to demonstrate unity.
What a shame that what was supposed to have been a social media post that someone genuinely meant for other fans to enjoy has been soured by mean, nasty, negativity. Personally, I loathe bullying in all forms and will endeavour to speak up against bullying behaviour
Well done Boyang for taking some really nice behind the scenes footage of athletes having a good time TOGETHER and sharing these images with fans, all of whom have been delighted to see joyful displays of friendship and camaraderie.
I hope that in the future people will still have the confidence to post things that make them happy and not pay attention to detractors who seem to thrive on discord and hate.

I love you Boyang! And this just proves that my initial emotional delight with you last year (yes, I'm sorry, I was late to the figure skating watching party), when I first saw videos of you skating and interacting with the other skaters, was CORRECT!
You are correct in that you have every right to post pictures and videos of yourself and your friends! Ignore those haters and know that 99% of your fans and the world DO NOT think like those haters. . . Haters like to post and make their opinion known, as if anyone cares. Most of use just watch and enjoy in silence. And watch. And enjoy. And watch, over and over again. Thank you for sharing with us.
You are wonderful, you are amazing, you are a prince. Good for you! And, DAMN, you can skate!!! :D

This has to stop. Hanyu’s close friends are literally being bullied for sharing pictures on social media. Didn't this happen to Evgenia, and now it is happening to Boyang. These Haters are sociopathic and evil. Let them capture their memories together, and if they choose to share on social media it is their right.

Boyang was there to comfort yuzuru when no one from his team do and it's hurt to know his getting hate for that and I'm very dissapointed to Shoma for not showing he care and support yuzuru when yuzuru was there for him when he was in his down fall but he didn't even give back the care yuzuru give towards him

I don't understand what this is about (I'm assuming it's about photos of him and Yuzu at the Olympics, especially the gala being posted online) but why should Boyang care about haters and their filthy mouths and ugly opinions? These haters are of NO consequence! They have no redeeming qualities. It's an intentional mental deficit, this online hate and since this is how these people choose to be they should be ignored and blocked. It's just a waste of time trying to justify yourself to anyone who has a hate agenda.
I think it's a concerted effort to try to ruin Yuzu and the ONLY good thing Yuzu had at the Olympics. He certainly didn't get any attention and support from his Japanese teammates, they acted like he was not even there and were too focused on themselves to give any thought to being decent to him the way he has ALWAYS treated them, which is a mark of Yuzu's excellent character that unfortunately isn't shared by his teammates.
I am grateful that he had true friends to hang out with because without them he would have been alone and shunned by two people he had nurtured for YEARS.
Boyang should just ignore the hate and be very proud of himself and his accomplishments and that he is a kind and good person. I want to say thank you to Boyang for being a friend to Yuzu at a time when he needed friends. I have always liked Boyang. I wonder if all those other skaters who took pics with Yuzu and posted them are getting hate about it, too.

Basically what happened was Boyang posted a pic on instagram with him and Yuzu wearing that panda hat during the gala practice (shown as the cover of this video). Then, the story started. After Beijing Olympics, Boyang updated his insta story with two short videos instead an actual post (so that people can’t judge under the post I guess). Haters were never satisfied. Those two videos were actually highly requested by so many fans as we all saw Boyang and Yuzu were recording something with a GoPro.

Yeah I got the gist of what has been said by the things Boyang was NOT saying. I can just imagine how bad it was. People are trying to make something out of friendly interaction. And seriously what business is it of theirs what the nature of someone else's relationship is anyway? They were cute and got a lot of attention, of course they did (they were the most engaging with the audiences than all the others combined) but I seriously doubt it was an agenda to take the focus off the "others" like is being hinted at. Yuzu has ALWAYS gotten the focus wherever he is, that's just the way it is and if it bothers the others and by extension their fans that's just too bad. So they have to try to kill the friendship by making things ugly for Boyang and making him feel he has to "explain" things to them. I hate those kind of people. They don't deserve any recognition at all.

I don’t understand either the fuss around that. They are long time friends. I would have posted pictures of me and my dear friends too. It’s just showing appreciation and happiness.
I’m wondering who were the haters? Opponent skaters or their fans? Why do they even care? There was nothing wrong in posting pictures of happy moments of you and your friends. Won’t they go get a life.
About his teammates, yes I’m very disappointed about what Shoma said. Yuzu promised to support him when he was a small and young kid, he shielded him in competitions, supported all the pressure so the youngsters would not have to.
Now I wouldn’t put Yuma in the same basket as Shoma. Yuma has always been a big Yuzu fan and still is. He said that no one can replace his presence and praised Yuzu for having given him advice even though they were competitors.
I’m sure JSF is pushing the Japanese skaters to diminish Yuzu image, push him aside. Did you see that the judge who scored Yuzu the lowest for his FS was the Japanese judge?
I hope JSF dies the day Yuzu R. They can go to hell if they think their favorites can replace him.

I was thinking the same thing about JSF pushing the others to treat Yuzu as part of the past. But you know what? He's bigger than the JSF and he's bigger than the ISU. And as far as I'm concerned he's been funding both since Sochi with his ability to bring in the hordes of fans to the competitions. I don't understand their mindset about him other than he has his own ideas on how things should be done and the others can be controlled more. Yuzu has a lot of power in his support system. Many skating professionals back him completely and his fans have the power to make a competition successful or a bust depending on if they attend or not. Personally I wish he would leave comp skating and go pro. He's got all the medals and legendary status. This next phase will be so phenomenal. He can do whatever he wants and the fans will be right there with him.
On a different note, have you heard anything about why Boyang wasn't at World's? I was hoping that this was his year.

@@tonya--7704 - I stopped following FS a while after the scandals years ago. And I moved out of Europe to a tropical country. So I discovered Yuzu just recently. I’d be super sad not to see him compete but well, I’ll support him whatever his decision is.
If Yuzu goes pro, where will we see him skate? It’s quasi impossible to buy tickets to the galas in Japan. And also, will they be broadcasted on YT for us to enjoy?
Regarding Jin Boyang, I don’t know and pretty sure none of us FS fans knows. There’s no official announcement from the Chinese officials. There are lots of rumors on internet but none is verifiable.
Btw, did you see that article published in a sports magazine in Russia? I used google translate. There are some links to an analysis of the 3 Japanese mens Free programs, another separate article on the American contender program. I don’t know what to think about it. It’s enormous. If the analysis is totally valid it’d be the biggest robbery in sports ever.
