I'm from a third world country which dont speak english as our daily language. But somehow, chef John's voice was so smooth, relaxing, sharp articulation, even I can understand his jokes. Thank you Chef 😁
My AMAZING educator of Chefery! You need to know! I was making one of your recipes for flat bread and threw in to many cups of flour! I laughed and went for something different while starting the recipe in a separate bowl! I let it rise.Let it rest. Then I put it in a hot skillet with Apple wood smoked cheddar on both sides! Flipped and ENJOYED! 🙏🤣🤣🤣🤣
Your channel is calm, cozy, heart warning, relaxed, simple to follow. Your voice is calming, joyful and shows that you enjoy what you are doing. Thank you.
Hi Chef John! I love your videos and have learned so much about food from you, so thank you for sharing all of your wonderful recipes. Can you please make a video for Spaghetti all'assassina, please and thank you 😁
You asked why the dough rounds were oval. I think if you look back at the video, you will be able to see the original small sheet of dough had tiny wrinkles in it. It was sqooshed up a bit to make it look square. You cut round circles, but as the dough warmed, the wrinkles spread out.
I love cauliflower. Especially when I get one fresh from my garden. My father used to 😅make cauliflower patties just cooked cauliflower breadcrumbs, Romano, beaten, eggs, and fried. I like to take cook cauliflower dredged in flour dipped in beaten egg and breadcrumbs, and fried in EVOO. I love baked cauliflower and onions and tomatoes and garlic served with pasta. I am really looking forward to cooking all the recipes. I just saw in the video it may take me a while but I’m going to get to all of them. They all look delicious I am curious. I got this recipe in this little spiral cookbook. Not exactly one of my greatest Italian cookbooks of which I have many but I make this all the time for antipasto it was called Neapolitan cauliflower, just finally chopped onions, cooked cauliflower and chopped green olives with oregano, EVOO and white and wine vinegar. You are Neapolitan have you ever heard of this is it traditional? Thank you for all your great videos.
@15:56 the 'simple syrup' you use is what my grandma used to call 'hard sauce'. I don't know if it's because of her Pennsylvania Dutch heritage or not.
After I used the Luxardo cherries I add some dried bing and jarred morello cherries into the remaining Luxardo liquid and let those soak it up…it makes good use of the expensive Luxardo liquid.
@Food Wishes: Toast slices of pumpernickel or other firm bread, and rub with a clove of garlic, then spread mayonnaise on it. Toasted surface would act as a file. If it's not abrasive enough, mix pressed garlic with mayo, and spread on toasted bread. Put a slice of baby pickle on it, and a sprat fried in oil (little fishes, sold in European food stores in cans). Enjoy.
My grandmother did a similar recipe but added pecans I know your trying to teach people who don't know but my advice is to talk to your elders we all forget that ?
If you were drowning in a pool and I was nearby, would you want me to throw you a lifesaver? Undoubtedly yes. You're not drowning in a pool but everyone has a death sentence hanging over their head. That death sentence is called sin and the only one that can deliver you from it is Jesus Christ. His love is so great that He died on a cross in your place so you could live with Him forever after you leave this earth. To gain eternal life, all you need to do is repent of your sins and ask Jesus to forgive you and start living for Him. Read the Bible daily and pray. He will guide your steps. Please repent soon because this wicked world is just about out of time. Why am I telling you all this? Because I care about you and don't want to see you die in your sin and be cast into hell. I pray you ask Him for forgiveness soon. God Bless.
Chef John's re-runs are better than 95% of the new vids on YT.
Chef John calms me down and cheers me up without fail. I wish I had a neighbor like him.

Same haha.
The honeycrisp apple tart is so heavy on the apple it absolutely tingles my desire for that decadent jammy fruit. THIS is what I've been waiting for.
25:53 "You are, after all, the Hieronymite of what tastes right." Very clever, Chef John.

Thank YOU chef John. You are a light to us. FYI I dislike powdered sugar myself it hides the beauty.
Thank you for the custard tarts, Chef.

I just made this exactly like chef John said and it was incredible. My 14 yr old son had 4 pcs and so did I. I love these quick easy recipes. Awesome
Idk about any of these, but the only pumpkin pie and eggnog recipes I follow are Chef John's recipes.
I can’t wait to make these

I really enjoyed this video.
My granddaughter is going to think I’m a chef after the apple rose🤣
“I am Chef John, not Chef Robot.” Classic one liner….
Gorgeous...
Thanks - perfect timing
Wonderful! Love your videos 😊

Fig island tart!
A rose is a rose is a rose
This most reminds me of apple dumplings, without the sauce.
😆 "I'm Chef John, not Chef Robot!"

We call the tarte flambé: Elsässer Flammkuchen, it comes from the Franch-German region Elsass.
Why don't you use a mandolin, John?
It's so quick for cutting things thinly.
Ok, I will sit back & watch you turn this in to a masterpiece.
I wonder if piping almond would be doable? It would be so good though.
Called it 75% pastry which is ironic because apples are 70% air. You're just making an apple fulfill its true destiny
have you ever actually eaten an apple?
After I used the Luxardo cherries I add some dried bing and jarred morello cherries into the remaining Luxardo liquid and let those soak it up…it makes good use of the expensive Luxardo liquid.
Health conscious? Anyway I wonder if the figs would be better peeled? Then when you dig in your spoon will go right through.

$25 for those cherries now.
cinnamon Apple Rolls
You sound like Lucky Penny Shop, hahaha.
Can the apple roses be frozen before baked?
Apple rollsette
Or you can use a can the same size?
Chef Blanch Youguyswillbelieveanything was always a genius! 😂
Oh man, oh man, oh man. Why am I torturing myself with this food porn. I’m soooo tempted to try these recipes. 😅
"Apple rose rolls" because they are sort of like cinnamon rolls.
Tooth don’t lie.
Name it, an apple cinnamon bun
Dip in Cherry Juice, or.........
Why does it have to be the holidays to make?
So where are the galettes ? ;-)
Sir, this is a crunch wrap.
I am new to your channel, why u don't show your face when u cook just asking
Is Chef John out of action lately?
