This is my biggest year for gardening yet. I'm starting over 50 different varieties of flowers for a little cut flower garden. I'm still doing a small veggie garden so two days ago I planted lettuce, carrots, and radishes. Nothing has been keeping me going these past few months quite like the promise of those beautiful rows of flowers and veggies💛🪱

All I have is a small patio, too. There’s a lot of inspirational gardeners growing a big harvest in a tiny space. Check Her 86m2 channel for more inspiration. 😊😘
You can fortunately still grow on a balcony! Maybe not if its north facing, but otherwise it works! I grow chili, cucumbers, carrots and potatoes, and will try some Chinese radish as well :D

Do you get at least 6 hrs of direct sunlight in your balcony? Container gardening would be best for you. I am doing this with my two little kids. We only plant what we eat...actually what "I" eat since they act like I feed them poison when they see some thing green on their plate 😂😂😥😥 We have planted lettuce, broccoli, Swiss chard, and pak choy for spring veges. In May, I'll be transplanting my eggplants, cucumbers, and tomatoes. Then I'll plant the okra and green beans directly in the pots. Unfortunately the soil does get a little expensive though if you have too many containers 😢 But as a beginner, start something small especially veges that don't require large, deep containers. Every day my kids and I check on our green leafy babies in the balcony, it feels amazing to watching something you grew from seeds ☺

Gardening is one of the ways I've stayed sane with the on and off lockdowns in Europe. Last year we grew enough to feed the three of us and my in-laws, this year promises to be even better!

lol. We're in zone 4. No putting anything in the ground til end of May at the earliest. :( For us, having spring harvest involves indoor grow lights and either a hydroponics set-up or a green house.

Ive been wanting to plant a garden but the ground where I live is so hard it’s like impossible just to dig a hole haha. We do have some brick planters that I’m going to plant some things in tho haha

we built them with untreated cedar planks just from the local hardware store!
What kind of recipes can u do with radishes?
hmm....we always devour them raw with sea salt, but i've heard that pickled radishes are delightful too!
