Hey Kxng, I'm using the same cheap laptop (the HP Victus) instead with an Intel Core i5 11th Gen and GTX 1650 and I have no problem with framedrops in BR at all. Just using a stretched resolution makes the gameplay feel so much better.

How you stretch resolutions
@@jvdonnright click on your desktop click NVIDIA control panel open it go to resolutions and click create custom resolution then make a new resolution 800x600 is really good for frame boost but will look quite pixely but if you fine with that it’s worth it. Then whenever your about to play Fortnite go back to NVIDIA control panel go to your custom resolutions then apply 800x600 or whatever you used
just use a fixed fps not unlimited with a 144 Hz u can easily do upto 160 but i suggest 120 or 144 for no delay
i have the hp victus, i plug it to an external monitor, its really good for the price, i would recommend it if you're looking for a budget gaming laptop

@@VaridEditz i never use unlimited fps cause it causes drops for me, i just set it to 165, and its stable for both creative and br, it could go mmuch higher than that though

@@VaridEditz rtx 3050, ryzen 5 5000, 16 gb ram, but the only downside is the monitor which is 60 hz, but its not a problem for me, since i use an external monitor

A monitor doesn’t make you get more fps, fps is how many frames u get per sec and hertz is how many times you screen/frames refresh.
Yes it does make a difference cuz its directly connected to your laptops gpu cuz of the optimus technology , By bypassing the integrated graphics and utilizing the discrete GPU, you can achieve higher frame rates and an overall better gaming experience
