nice beast! back in 1995 scratch built a 1/8 scale pan car to keep up with the .21 powered gassers. had two rear half shafts with an 05 powering each wheel (no diff needed) through 16/44 32p gears. two 7 cell Sanyo SCR packs in parallel got it doing 50 anyway, wasn't bad for a couple brushed motors. right side timed 30 degrees for CCW, left same but for CW rotation. my old Tamiya Road Wizard F1 was nearly as fast but a lot less stable for being so light weight, if it wasn't doing 30-35 mph to get some down force it slid everywhere.
@@AdventureTimeRC no doubt it'd work, with low Kv motors you could even direct drive to 2 or 4 wheels. 1000-1100kv 2212 size would be 7500-8000 rpm wheel speed on 2S and only need hubs to mount the wheels to. with the old DC motors and their cogging, they always tried to run in step with each other when running straight, and when cornering the traction was enough to overcome the cogging so it didn't need a diff. the brushed motor cogging did help for slowing to enter a corner, but cruising through and powering out it didn't behave awkwardly.
