"quirky little religious idea" you can tell this guy works in defense of companies instead of individuals.

This was so helpful, not only for my business class. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and we have faced a lot of persecution to this day by not only atheists but those in other religions as well. Simply going on social media, I have been insulted and ridiculed for my belief, and it hurts. Knowing that as I join the workforce, I will have some protection against these harmful people gives me great comfort. So, thank you for helping me out.

Yikes, that's rough. I'm so sorry to hear that. I'm also a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. One of my biggest pet peeves is when LGBTQ+ supporters try to pick a fight with members. Rather than "supporting minority rights," they're just targeting people who believe differently (which is borderline harassment).

Simply being insulted by a coworker is not a lawsuit worthy offense. You can file a complaint, and they can’t fire you for complaining (or you can sue if they do,) but more than likely nothing will happen except the person who insulted you being given a warning

I submitted my Religious exemption in regards to the vaccine and testing about 2 weeks ago to HR. I have not received a response to my approval. It seems very odd to be taking this long making me feel Discriminated. Any suggestions. Thank you in advance.

As it stands right now, there is no recognized religious exemption to getting the vaccine. Vaccine mandates have been recognized as legal by the U.S. Supreme Court since 1905. If a private company or organization says that they only want vaccinated employees, they are allowed to terminate those who refuse. Your company may voluntarily allow you an exemption, but they are not legally required to do so.

@@braniganrobertsonlaw Thank you for the reply, so just to be clear my Religious rights are protected by the US Constitution and no state law, pandemic or employer policy supersedes it. Covid vaccine and testing goes against my sincerely held religious beliefs. How is that not Discrimination? I appreciate your feedback.

I submitted my religious exemption for Covid vaccine and was approved. I used my sincerely held beliefs in Holistic Medicine and treating my own diagnosis conservatively. I also hold Christian beliefs.

@@staceyh.148 Thank you for the feedback, Yes my Religious exemption was also Approved! :) We have Constitutional Rights that are protected by Federal Law!!

@@ferny_dlt I'm glad your company let you have a religious exemption. But, just so you understand, the law and/or Constitution was not the reason this happened. Legally speaking, your company did not have to grant you that exemption. They chose too. You are one of the lucky ones. I've received lots of calls from people who have been fired because they refused to get the vaccine for religious grounds. Unfortunately, at this time, they have no legal claim. If I were. you, I would at least start looking for another job (as a backup plan) just in case your employer reverses their decision.

What happens when a coworker won’t STFU about religion, and you try to ignore it and not respond, but they won’t stop saying god this, sin that? I had one manager who found out I was Catholic and went on and on about how horrible Catholics are because we worship false gods (symbols of the cross I guess?) I tried to ignore it, but it really made working with her uncomfortable. I didn’t know at the time that this was illegal on her part. But is that something I could have complained about to a government agency? Another coworker just kept talking about god all the time. That I wasn’t sure if it was legal, but it made me very uncomfortable

So, you're telling me that my employer doesn't have to build a Pastafarian Shrine for co-workers who attend the Church of the Flying Spaghetti monster?
